I really love your honesty when reviewing products. Constructive feedback is so important for the brand but especially for their consumer base. It's so hard to decide as a consumer when creators say that everything they try is the best thing ever even when they notice little things but fail to mention them. Your honesty, integrity and talent are very much appreciated.
I don't know what it is about brands who launch mostly green palettes throwing in a random purple when purple doesn't blend into green. I have to say I really appreciate how honest you are about your reviews. You don't sugar coat and say you love everything even if it was sent to you in PR. Even if the product was created by a friend you're still honest. I trust your reviews way more than I do other channels who love EVERYTHING lol.
Oh, I LOVE purple and green together! Tend to make one matte and one shimmer, that way blending isn't an issue. Or you can go top and bottom, for a more blocked out look 🤔 Deep purple used to deepen a lighter green can also look sweet 👌🏻
I think they do it because purple and green are complimentary colors. And so they look good together. So aesthetically when you look at the color story it looks great. But in practice it's not always great if they don't add something to work with the pop.
"You can never have enough brushes til you go to wash them" Facts! *I haven't seen anyone mention it, but if you switched the brown matte for a neon pink matte, the colorstory would be very similar to the 1up palette they did recently! 👀
Always love your open honesty! ❤️ this was totally the palette I'd see you use... lethal has very much upped their game on shimmers over time which is so nice... they look very stunning now... as for their mattes they don't impress me because of you talking about them... lethal was one of the brands I didn't get hyped to try even though I love watching reviews of them...till recently I think here in the future I might actually grab one finally because I've seen a huge change in their shimmers... they look very appealing now... love this look very beautiful on you... have to agree there is some similarities that could of been something different
The small head/big eyes thing is so funny to me because I'm the opposite: my eyes look kinda small on my face, but they're "objectively" rather large because my head, in general, is really large. I feel like we've talked about that before but it's still really interesting.
Lovely look! And I agree about the mattes from lethal. What I do when the shadenames are on the sleeve is I cut them out and then glue them to the backside of the palette. It will be invented but I can still figure it out. 🥰
Even though I absolutely love lethal cosmetics (and I live in the EU) I am lot excited for the new release, I feel excitement for just 6 shades from both palettes, I agree their mat shadows seem less pigmented but I think that is because they are less vibrand color shades, their shimmers though.....to die for! Love so much this look you made that kind of makes me want to pick something up....
You can pick exactly those though, that's what I did, I just picked what I wanted from both palettes. You can even swap out some shades for others in their older releases. No one has to buy the premade palettes, that's the great thing about this brand.
Girl I'm in the same boat as you 😅 I'm only 5' tall, plus I'm Asian so my eyes are extra small, and I am SO picky about my brushes! I always laugh when someone comments on how big my eyes are because it means I've done my makeup well enough to create that illusion 🤣 Also I always love how honest you are in your reviews, it really helps us consumers out and helps us feel like you're actually reviewing things not just hyping them for the views (or whatever) 💓
I ordered both of the palettes the day they released and am hoping they work good for me. I'm done buying for awhile though. I've gotten so many palettes the last few months that I absolutely adore so I need to spend some time using them. Plus with all the indie releases, it's going to take a lot to find me something I don't have dupes for LOL! I love the look you created! I'm excited to go back and watch some of your older videos to get inspired with all the palettes I have now LOL! I love your videos.
Hi Annette , I will be purchasing both of these palettes, due to the fact that I like both color stories and their formula. I due however agree with you said on colors looking similar.
The lime green shade you use looks yellow and that’s because your primer has a specific undertone which makes the shade have a different color. I am noticing the color is fading when you add on top of it which is a concern for me because I expect a good pigment for dark tones. The shimmer shades are beautiful and thanks for the review.
I didn’t end up getting these palettes as they used the exact same shades as they had in the 1UP palette. Really sad they reused the shades and they weren’t brand new. I would of grabbed both if they were x
We love knowing our own limits! I clicked on this literally as it popped up in my feed since I am so curious about the new holiday release from Lethal. I think I am ok that I skipped this one and went with some other palettes that have some similar vibes. You really made this eye look work though and I am obsessed with how the shimmers transition. What was the name of the lash brand - they look so pretty!
I like smaller eye brushes as well, so I probably won't be getting those ones. I did get their liner brush since I didn't have one and I got more of their gel pot liners during the sale.
I'm really feeling the other palette 🤣 although I do like that chartreuse & blue shimmers. haven't tried Lethal at all yet. Their prior releases I saw were never fully my thing I also use slanted brushes for my blush. Work best for me... But I also like to use smaller stipple brushes for the apples of my cheeks when I apply more pigmented blushes I want to place more precisely... Not that anyone cares 😅
Random comment... I think you said a while back you were attending a Scribble tournament? That sounds so fun! I love Scribble but never really have anyone to play it with..
I like the color story of the other palette better. But if I'm going to buy eyeshadow from lethal I'll pick my own shades so I get exactly what I want. Then again I don't love their eyeshadows and it's not cheap so it would take something extra special for me to buy from them again.
Just curious… why do you keep accepting PR from Lethal since you never really like them? It’s such a waste for the environment, both in terms of waste but also (and mostly) due to transport harm in emissions.
I like them, theyre just not my favorite brand. I think its helpful for u guys that i review them and maybe have a different opinion than everyone else who does
I bought Nightflower and Evergreen. I have heard nothing but great reviews about this company....and now I don't know wth is going on. They are dust. The mattes are dust, the shimmers are dust. The palette is unusable without primer and that to me is a fail. A primer should assist the wear, not make a shadow that would NEVER stick workable. I see swatches people are doing and they look amazing but if you do finger swatches and THEN brush your fingers on the shadow, they are GONE. Lethal isn't showing THAT on their IG.
The quality of their shadows is mediocre at best. Unfortunately I fell for the influencer hype and bought a custom eyeshadow palette and a custom face palette from lethal and I NEVER reach for them. Their formula just isn’t worth the inflated price they’re charging and the time it takes to receive their orders from Germany or wherever they’re shipping from, and rolling the dice on whether the items will be in tact when you get them. You can get way better quality palettes from indie brands at tj maxx for a fraction of the price (kara beauty, and rude cosmetics specifically), there’s just no reason to buy from overpriced trash brands like lethal.

The purple is the "pop" shade. But I agree why didn't they put in a matte blue to work with those blue shimmers? Just weird.

@@hazardsigns I don't mind the purple. I just would like to see a shade in there that can be blended into the purple. Lol
@@hazardsigns Those are pretty combos, just the color selection to me in this palette is a bot random its still very pretty though.

Yay! My packages got delivered today! I am so excited to see what shades I got in my mystery mini palette
Hi Annette , you created such a stunning look with this palette this ,,earthly,, colors very suits you.

I picked up the two palettes from Lethal Cosmetics, but I haven't used them yet. Evergreen is my favorite of the 2.

I really want to try the auric lashes.
I think you could maybe deepen the purple with the teal since they both have blue but you'd definitely have to be careful because the green.
I skipped these because of my low buy but those shimmers do look nice!!

I love your snake earrings!! 😍 Please let us know where you got them if you can.
Theyre from ana luisa!
That brown is really pretty but it would have been nice to have that one replaced with a dark eggplant.
Thanks for this video. I was curious about that palette and the shades looking similar ... and they really do 😒

Yes! I play all the time! You should check out woogles.io/ if you want to play online, its def the best site for it!
@@AnnettesMakeupCorner thanks 😍

I'm happy with my lethal palette, but the mattes are a bit tricky to work with.
Are there any other brands whose pan sizes fit into the Lethal palettes?
Hmm thats a good question... not that I can think of 🤔
The pans are 26x26mm and the old, large Adept cosmetics pans will fit. I don't think I've seen another brand use those pans.
Yeah i thought of those but im pretty sure adept dont sell them anymore?
