    Yes! I'm just a little kid in the candy shop. Today the delivery guy woke me up. bouncing on the door. There she is, the mini F16. Inside the box was the plane and the remote incl 3 batteries like i ordered. Sadly no spare prop, no landing gear and ofcourse, no usb charging cable. I jumped in the car, drove to a local rc shop, and found the usb charging cable. At home i charged up all 3 batteries, packed up, and went outside to do my maiden flight. I think i'm addicted right now. As we speak i'm charging again to go out for a second time.My first trainer, i'm a happy man :) Can't wait to learn more flying and save up for a bigger trainer. Thanks for your vids and reviews, see you in the air.

      Hi Jeffrey!
      Thank you for the kind words and support ;-)
      That's awesome!
      I'm glad you had a shop close by to get a charger.
      Wow! They sure left some stuff out.
      A very fun little Parkjet and I'm glad you got the (3) battery version.
      I'd order (6) batteries with these planes if it was an option ;-)
      I'm glad you're having a lot of fun with it.
      A very addictive and fun hobby.

    When I first got into RC flight, I was told that if it didn't come home in a trash bag, it was a good day. You came close, LOL. Nice flying little bird, and pilot.
    The Mini P51 I received did the same thing when switched into expert mode, it was also nose heavy like crazy. That fixed the dip, but still didn't make me a better pilot! Thank goodness for quick flip to beginner mode!!

      Hehehe...I thought I was in Beginner Mode switching into Intermediate Mode, but was in Intermediate Mode switching into Expert Mode. Note to Self "Remember which Mode you're in". Thank goodness I always have packing tape in the kit. If it had hit any harder it would have come home in trash bag ;-)

    Hey there! Love all of your videos. As always very informative! I'm trying to get this to fly with my radiomaster zorro and I'm able to bind it, but I was wondering if the gyro is on channel 5 like the rest of the Eachine mini's since there is no rudder? I question it because when I setup the Gyro switch on my radio on channel 5, I noticed that there was no "manual" mode like there is on the F4U-Corsair or the P40. Thanks so much as always!

      I don't have this plane anymore as I gifted it to a Nephew but I did go back and look at the setup in OpenTX.
      I did have the Gyro Functions setup on CH5 but I can't remember if it had a full Manual Mode.
      I setup the Protocol as V761 with Sub-Protocol 3CH.

    To be honest I meant that it would be able to turn up or down the gains like you are able to do on something like a lemon rx plus with tunable gains. If that's not possible then I will attempt to use your idea's with the Dr and Expo control. Thanks again for your help it's much appreciated and best wishes. Alan Uk👍👍👍🤗🤗🤗

    They never send me anything :-(
    ;-)
    I almost pre-ordered one, but I wasn't too thrilled with flying the F-22, so I passed on it.
    The RX supposedly has AS3X-like stability in manual mode, as it is with the F-22.
    Enjoyed the video. Happy flying

    • @GroundControlRC
      @GroundControlRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you much! Hehehe.....they can't send you anything, you already have too many projects ;-)
      I've never flown anything with an AS3X Gyro, however, if it doesn't have full manual mode I don't like it ;-) I don't like the Expert Mode on this Mini F-16 as the Gyro interferes with the controls. It's rock solid in Beginner Mode and needs some Elevator taming in Intermediate. I think it's a keeper though and the Slow High Alpha Passes are too much fun ;-) See you in the Air!

    • @Doggeslife
      @Doggeslife 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GroundControlRC AS3X feels like manual mode on a wind-free day. It restricts nothing. You 'd like it.
      I recommend the Ultrix if you ever want to try AS3X. That may be the best flyer Eflite ever released, and their only 1S brushless bird. Owners rave about it, myself included. Just gotta remember to lube the tiny plain bearing brushless motors on occasion.
      Happy flying!

      @GroundControlRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Doggeslife Thanks for that info. Question: I just sent a question to Horizon Hobby, about a week ago, regarding the AS3X and if there was a way to turn it completely off using a switch on the TX. They just sent me a video link on how to setup flight modes but no info in that video regarding what I was looking for, so I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling regarding horizon hobby. Do you know if you can do that or do you have to completely re-program the gyro?

    • @Doggeslife
      @Doggeslife 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GroundControlRC With most the receivers I have been using, AS3X can be set to be turned off and on via the channel five (gear) switch on my DX6i or another switch with newer radios. It may require plugging in to a PC to set or disable.
      Doing so gives you access to AS3X authority parameters as well as compensation direction for various mounting orientations. The screen looks like this: static.rcgroups.net/forums/attachments/3/7/6/3/6/0/a6653077-192-as3x%20orig%20and%20new.jpg

    • @GroundControlRC
      @GroundControlRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the info! Strange that the Gyro isn't setup that way from the start. So the vast majority of these AS3X Planes I see being reviewed always have gyro stabilization enabled ;-) Well, that makes the flight demonstration a bit easier ;-)

      @@GroundControlRC Looks like all of the planes have gone up. $103 + $11 shipping for the T-28 or Corsair? $98 for the P-51? That's in Eflite UMX range, which doesn't need modding to fly with my Spektrum transmitters. One of the best things about the 400 series along with great flying was the lower price of $65-$80. Glad I got in early when I did.

    Hi GC enjoyed watching the review on this mini f16 and looking forward to your feedback with the tx16s tx, on which I have a question? Instead of assigning the gyro to a three position switch, would it be possible to connect to one of the knob type volume control so the gains can be slowly adjustable, I hope you can see what I mean by that!! Many thanks for sharing and best regards from Alan UK 👍👍👍🤗🤗🤗❤

    • @GroundControlRC
      @GroundControlRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Alan and thank you! I think it would be possible to do what you propose. I assume you mean using the dials to change DR and/or EXPO? I think that could certainly be done. How effective it would be would have to be tested as the amount of EXPO I currently have programmed into the Elevator seems to be completely ignored by the Gyro Firmware. I think on a traditional Plane without a Gyro that would work very well.

    • @bogdog999
      @bogdog999 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you mean having a variable gyro controller that adjusts how much authority the gyro has over manual pilot input, with infinite settings between BEGINNER and MANUAL or INTERMEDIATE modes, then I know of no gyro-fitted receiver that can do that. It would have to be programmed in to the receiver itself to be able to do that. Even the Spektrum AS3X receivers cannot be adjusted on the fly and must be set while on the ground and plugged into a PC,
