Thanks for your review. I was curious about this game and you covered everything I wanted to know. It looks like they did a nice job with it, but I think I’ll stick with Vaesen.
I was arguing with myself how much clickbait I'm willing to put into a title. 😅 Landed on vivisection because of horror and shock value. Interesting word too.
Very different campaign setting from Blades in the Dark. Most of the book is setting not rules. If you don't like the setting, then I'd say to pass on it.
There is rules light, then there is this incomplete system.

Oh yes, you're reminding me of something. Vaesen is on my "to-read pile of shame". Gotta take a look at it.
@@SebbaasdungeonIt’s a solid game. And of course, the artwork is stunning.
Really liked your review and insights, especially your adaption of the rules.
I like your choice to call this a vivisection, implying this game is alive.

No stats for monsters? I can homebrew a game for free.
Superb review, your house rule ideas seem right on.
But there is already Blades in the Dark so....why?

Thank you for this review.
You should take a look at Gargoyles of Nam by Better Games
What's the elevator pitch for that game?

Nothing innovative here, the mechanics and the setting themes have both already been done better elsewhere
Sounds like a pass...
