Sara rejecting the cheaper riding pants from her family is so Autistic of her. She doesn’t ‘get’ so much around that present socially and emotionally, nor the right thing to do in the situation to communicate she loves them too. Girls/women super frequently have ADHD and Austism diagnoses missed for so many bad reasons, I’m loving the representation. As a super weird outcast kid at school, I have a lot of sympathy for her being desperate to be accepted, popular, cool; and being naive and so unskilled at life she confuses upper class status and habits with being normal, loveable and loved. I feel for her even as she’s done some effed up stuff.
Wille is so out of control and stubborn, but god his mother is not his mother, only his Queen. I feel for Wille, Simon, and there’s a teeny tiny miniscule feeling for the Queen even though she and her husband, Wille’s absent father are at fault for making Wille this way. Her inadequately un-nuanced mantra of “being a prince is a privilege, not a punishment” is obviously culled from her own childhood upbringing.
17 km with no water/electrolyte/sugar stations set up or carried. They’re risking getting get so short term sick, possibly even a metabolic disorder for several months or a kidney injury. It’s hard seeing Wille being so malicious, getting revenge instead of justice.
I think, while Sarah pretty much assaulted August in an empathy-less autistic way, and yes that can happen with some people with Autism who can be completely oblivious whether the person they’re with wants sex or is just putting up with it, well, I think by the last shot of August’s face he kind of liked being the object of Sara’s lust. It was a novelty for him being used instead of using someone for his own pleasure, and maybe it turned on a kink? Or maybe he saw Sara differently. As a powerful person, or someone who takes power when she can, and he liked that in her? Maybe he recognised that as being like himself and felt a connection?

I’ve always felt this is the least eventful episode in the entire series. Even the cliffhanger ending was just August getting called to the palace.
