I used the drop cloths in my screened porch. I adore them. They prevent sooooo much dust and dirt accumulation on my pretty cushions, not to mention keeping the porch so much cooler and provides privacy!

Yes, drop cloth is amazing and so versatile! Years ago Miss Mustard Seed blog was my first time watching its use for slipcovers, drapes, etc. We have gorgeous, , soft cornices detailed with iris and dogwood flowers over our French doors. They coordinate beautifully with our furnishings and cost next to nothing! We cut the tablecloth fabric they're made of lengthwise, then stapled it over batting to the frame Hubby built! Yep, he's got the artistic eye/creative gene along with so many other diy skills! So high five to your hubby using those skills! Now we will cover the cornices with drop cloth to neutralize for house sale! We've used it to cover a small ottoman, dining chairs and tabletops. . . wheels turning - stencil the cloth, add trim or fabric. . . so many options! Love your curtains and especially the valances! When I was in grade school, I used to throw my dad’s drop cloths over the clothes line. Made great ⛺️ tents. I used clothes pins to fasten the ends in the ground. Brings back wonderful memories. Back to the video...
I agree with Georgia Johnson - your are amazing and do need your own show. If you are not a licensed decorator nobody could ever tell it. You sure are talented and have great taste.
Liz thank you so much for this idea. I am so doing the drop cloth curtains through out my house. I did this one time years and years ago and totally forgot about it. I have gone 2 years without curtains in my house because I just couldn't find what I wanted and now you have saved the day. Your home and family are just beautiful. I used those exact same dropcloths to make my window treatments for my living, dining and kitchen, also made a tablecloth and working on pillows!! There is so much fabric for such a small price!! Love It!!

I did drop cloth drapes a few months ago. I wanted them a little more classic too. I found you can pleat by the way you clip on the rings. Then by steaming and clothesline clips that I left on for 24 hours I got pleats that are still holding there shape.i really like your buffalo check valence.

Love your dropcloth curtains. I used that material to slipcover an old chair. Years ago. The material never wears out and can be accessiorized so easily.

Very nice! I also use drop cloth for my curtains. I even used them for my patio to block too much sun in the evenings. Washing them before you hang them up is a must though because they're very stiff and smell kind of funny when they're brand new. They can even be bleached!
This is so funny. I have been sewing and making things out drop cloths for 15 years now. It's the color of our beach sand here so, it goes perfect with my coastal decor. I do curtains, table runners , pillow covers, use it for trim on things and much more. You can stencil or paint things on it and add fringe and other embellishments to it also. I love it and the price of it! Your Tuscan wall decor is beautiful and the basket of greenery and flowers, on you old door is so pretty. Love your new lantern lights. So fun! Oooh, love this video!! I too use drop cloth curtains, on my deck. It is a full sun exposure deck, get's pretty hot, and the rain in my area typically comes in from the West. These curtains keep out the UV rays, keeps the heat down, keeps the rain out, and dries super fast! No mold, no mildew, no fading. Thanks for sharing! :)

What a difference the valances made! Wasn’t bad but they made it look finished. So many times it’s one little thing that can bring everything together. You seem to have no trouble zooming in on exactly what that is. It always takes me a while but I have trouble trusting my instincts.

Oh, I'm a farmhouse gal but because we live on a farm, but I'm loving your new look, however, I like your style in anything you do. You definetly know how to put it together. I at one time started to make my drop cloth curtains, but decided to buy which I never got around to it, but I'm definetly loving yours, so guess what ? I'm now going to make me some for sure. It looks good!!! Eventually you should do shutters because it will help cut down on the cost of running your ac. I’m saving up to put them in our downstairs areas. My girlfriend has them and it helps so much with keeping the house cool and warm in winter.
