- the Diplomat Hotel, located in Baguio City, Philippines, was originally built as a vacation house by Dominican friars in the early 20th century. It was later converted into a hotel in 1973. However, during World War II, the hotel served as a refuge for refugees and became a site of brutal massacres by Japanese forces. Since then, it has been shrouded in dark tales of paranormal activity, including reports of ghostly apparitions, strange sounds, and inexplicable occurrences. Today, the Diplomat Hotel stands abandoned, yet its haunted reputation continues to attract thrill-seekers and paranormal investigators from around the world.

I am from Baguio City, Philippines and I enjoy your videos. I didn't expect that you would visit my city. Anyway, I remember when I was younger my aunts, uncles, and I used to visit haunted places around the city every Halloween and way back 2007 Diplomat Hotel was closed to public but we had the opportunity to visit inside the place and we captured a white lady behind the bench. Recently, they closed the place because of another accident happened to that place. The room with a fireplace has really the strongest energy out of all the rooms, you will really be drawn to come inside the room. I also heard that the room used to be the doctor's room who operated people without anesthesia. Thank you for visiting my city.
Same experience dun sa room na may fire place, Akala ko ako lang nakaramdam na may something strange sa room na yon when I was filming inside that room using my iPhone nag glitch yung camera nagkaron ng guhit guhit pero hindi siya na save sa phone ko kaya lumabas nako agad ng room na yon aside that yung cross sa may roof top iba din yung energy. Creepy talaga.

Years ago we would go to baguio once a year, twice if we feel like celebrating someone's birthday there. I don't know what it is about baguio but everytime we go there, no matter where we stay, I always feel something.... I can't really explain it but it's not heavy, it's also not that scary, I just feel like there's always something around us that we can't see. I never feel it anywhere else and I'm uncertain about the existence of the supernatural since I haven't had any encounters (Although my family told me that when I was a kid, I had a "friend" who's an old bald guy outside our window), but it's Baguio... It's always Baguio.
I recently watched the video where Josh said he was gonna stop the ghost hunting because it was affecting him (which I totally get.. been there) and I was telling my boyfriend how sad I was about it because they’re my favorite and then TODAY HE POSTS THIS!!!

I have been watching off and on with josh videos over the years in my opinion I don’t think Josh knows what he is doing by having paranormal videos as the paranormal is legit and once you open doors there hard to close and with some of TH-cam channel like his and many others of his generation they just want the likes etc.

Thankfully Josh is not bad-willed. I'm Filipino and many of us live with the doorway open, for better and worse. There are some threats that you just cannot train for. And interacting with the other side makes you magnetic to them.
As long as Josh keeps his respect and doesn't play with certain tools or certain spirits, I think he'll be alright. You never know though, curiosity gets the best of us.

Visited this place before and bruh...the way the energy just gets darker & darker as you climb up the building...everything just felt heavy but it's somehow fascinating. Kudos to yall, did a great job covering this haunted place!
Oh I needed to watch this. That place is just haunted to the brim. I went there once and I still have nightmares about things I thought I saw there. I would never come back there or Baguio in general because of that experience.

Absolutely amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed this. The equipment going off was crazy, especially the bell. The DR60 will remain my favourite piece of equipment, I’m obsessed! Great spot in the Philippines to film and so good that Zarck, Sleng and, of course, Rich were part of this. A fantastic return for Beyond the Dark.

I don’t usually watch ghost hunting videos from other sources, but yours seem genuinely authentic and are also really entertaining. Glad you guys found time to visit the Philippines and investigate the great Diplomat Hotel! Man I had a very freaky experience when I visited the old Diplomat Hotel with my friends. There was an old fireplace thing at the roof deck which had like a cross, and I swear there was a cowering dark figure with long hair inside it. I saw it around after lunch which was somehow spooky when a huge stack of clouds covered the skies elevating the eeriness of that incident. Must be an aftermath of my waining ESP that was just spiked like crazy when I was younger. Experienced a lot of crazy paranormal experiences in my young days. Don't want to feel that dread every time it's triggered again in my adulthood.
