Judith made a recording after her husband died about 11 years ago. It's called Forever Isn't Long Enough for Me. She was Australia's gift to the misic world.
The Seekers were a phenomenally successful band almost everywhere in the world except the USA. For some reason they never really clicked with American audiences. They did manage to have one big hit here called "Georgy Girl." The Seekers were so popular that, years after they broke up, they inspired another band to be formed called "The New Seekers." This band was also widely popular everywhere except the USA.
I completely forgot about this tube. Of course when it was originally released I was only 4 years old though I had listened to it on the radio years later in that decade. A sweet harmonic tune!
I remember Georgie Girl from the 60s as a kid on my AM Japanese made transistor radio on a camping trip along with Dont Sleep in the Subway by Petula Clark and the Doors Light my Fire and Hello I Love You. Thought the Seekers were American until this year. lol We didn't have the internet.
Another current band to check out but has that old school sound is The Teskey Brothers - It is a gift to the current music world in my opinion - "Pain and Misery' (the official video) is a great place to start - still my fav - I think we are so lucky in Australia to mostly have our legends to ourselves all these years - AC/DC, Cold Chisel, INXS, Midnight Oil, The Angels, Little River Band, Guy Sebastian and so so so many more
Biz I think you would like a song called Corcovado by Stan Getz, Astrid Gilberto and Antonio Carlos Jobim. It was recorded in New York City in 1963. One of the most popular albums of Brazilian jazz called the bossa nova. if you like saxophone, this would be a song for you
another group from the 60s that surprisingly no one has reacted to-spanky & Our Gang-is a cross between the seekers and Mamas & Papas-check out their hits-Lazy day, Like to Get to Know You, sunday will Never Be the Same and Give A damn.
I don’t blame you! Even though I’m female I’ve loved her for her singing voice for a LONG time! I grew up with this group and they were my favourites for a long time!
You're hitting them out of the part tonight with the female singers, Biz. Judith had a truly amazing voice!
Judith Durham, world class and they sold a ton of records everywhere.

She was a truly beautiful lady in every sense,
Gorgeous,romantic song
One of my absolute childhood favorites! ❤
An even better song by them is “Georgie Girl”.
At least it sold more records, personally this song is my favorite. Anxious to hear "Georgie Girl" too.
I like them both, but this one better.

Possibly even the BeeGees.
Full of 60's grooovy-ness.
Windy or Georgie Girl were top songs.

The song definitely connects to the heart.
