So, what did YOU think of this list? Are you getting some of these on Record Store Day, or maybe you have albums from other genres on the official list that you’re interested in? Let me know that, and any thoughts you have on RSD in general, in the comments below.
I personally quit RSD when they got rid of the covid era policy of allowing immediate online sales. It discriminates against people who don't have store near them, and really, does nothing to block flippers.
Omega Wave is an absolute gem of an album that is quickly approaching Twisted as my favorite. It really grows the more you listen so highly recommend giving it a few more spins. I have the original vinyl release but may get this as well. Great job as always!
You forgot the Black Breath box set. Luckily, I work part-time at a record store. So, as long as the distributor sends it, I get what I want. Better yet at cost.
I like this year's list quite a bit. I'm going to have trouble keeping my budget in line. My #1 pick is Jucifer - Calling All Cars On The Vegas Strip. A killer Sludge Metal album that has never been on vinyl before. Also for anyone for whom the heavier end of Grunge is Metal enough: TAD's final album Infrared Riding Hood is being reissued. Thank you
I’m hoping to get the Black Breath box set . Had my local store put that on their order. Hopefully they get it. Being in the Pacific Northwest, I hope that it helps. Great list and descriptions (of the details available)!
Pretty much every video you speak a lot about lots of albums and quantities and it's a lot of information and I've noticed that you don't seem to look away from the camera so it's as if you have memorised it all and you never fumble your words throughout the whole thing and that's every video. It's quite incredible. 🤘
I’m after the same stuff you mention here, but also want the Black Breath box set and Excel. Have the OG copy but like the updates. Also, I own the recent anniversary edition of Thin Lizzy Live & Dangerous and one of the shows in the set is being released on RSD! Finally, I want to get that Ramones demo release. Like the Motörhead, just have to have it 😊.
I have about 8 or so I am looking for. A handful of these metal ones (I think the Eric Carr cover looks horrible, but still) - and some lighter stuff like Collective Soul, Def Lep, Mr Big, Tesla, and Thin Lizzy. Not sure if I'll do the whole up early and in line, or just accept the scraps I can get after the rush.
Would love to get my hands on the Forbidden and Witchfinder General albums as I have those on CD. Unfortunately, I don't live in the US, so most likely that won't happen. I hate supporting people who buy the albums just to flip them.
Here in Sweden we have a "record fair" two weeks earlier, so I dont know really what I will do, of everything mention in this video, I am interesting in Wardruna and maybe Forbidden. This is just my opinion: Record Store Day is not really a big deal to miss, I mean the shop I go to had RSD releases alot more cheaper like one-two months later.
The second Michael Schenker Group album, ‘MSG’, could be good - double LP, clear vinyl and gatefold sleeve but it really depends on the quality of the extras. If the expanded CD monitor mix of “Never Trust A Stranger” was the pick of the bunch that doesn’t bode well. We’ll see …
Not into metal that much but definitely thinking about the Eric Carr offering and maybe the Crue one. Have to take a look at the main list to see what else I might be interested in. Is there a particular store that might have a better selection in the Burlington area? My closest is Autumn in Winooski. Good luck with your purchases!
Hey Matt! I’m looking forward to RSD this year, mainly because I’ll actually be off that day and able to go to my nearest shop in Syracuse. I wanted to know though, where do you find the pressings #’s (1,000 pressed, 1,750 etc.)? I’d like to buy the new Priest record but want a more rare variant. Thanks!
To be honest, it’s a lot of looking around, whether it’s the label site or from another vendor or Discogs. The numbers for the new Priest album were certainly gathered from all over the place, so it’s not always an easy task.
Damn dude, listen to Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs, especially that Live at KEXP. FUCKING fantastic. like black sabbath, stooges and motorhead got thrown into a blender.

Cool video, Matt. Not sure I'll bother this time. But I may pop to the local store, see what they have available. 🤘🍻

Ramones, Thin Lizzy & the CD version of the live Doors release.
The 2 Dio albums for sure . Aces 10,000 volts pic disc will make a good frisbee 😂
Hope you get what you want on your list Matt...

What are the song credits for your intros/segments, etc? They sound awesome
I pay a monthly fee to a music licensing company that provides music to TH-camrs and the like. Don’t know the track names off-hand.
Where's GG ALLEN 🤘💿🤘

@@TheAccusationNetwork Thank you! I greatly appreciate your reply
Damn…I missed it.

Thin Lizzy and nothing else.
Most of this shit comes out later in black vinyl tbh
lol. Burnt out with ace. I know what you mean. The sameness of some artists and then you just stop buying as there’s nothing new.
