You had a small army because Clans work by relations with subjects. The friendlier you are with vassals the more generous they are to contributing their armies and gold. Feudal works using obligations Tribal works using levels of fame Clans work using high relations and jurisdictions Administrative works using governorships and is more limiting than the others.
Admin works through Influence. If you have the Influence you just order your vassals to do just about anything. It's actually the most versatile you just need to generate Influence. Everybody gangsta till they see the Admin vassal swarm
I used Rostam I to complete Iranian Revival and Darius' Revenge all at once. He is one of the most fun characters in my opinion. Usually I go back to Masdayasna, but in all honestly Mu'atazila is probably the best religion for Persian Culture.
@@kingjamestres You're missing out on a lot. Al-Mu'tazz is actually a whole lot of fun. You start out in a tenous position with large Azraq revolt and you have a second Zanj Revolt also scripted to fire. Al-Mu'tazz is a very flawed Caliph but he is pretty young and you can go on Hajj and other pilgrimages without too much difficulty due to his large gold pool, and turn him into a very decent, pious Muslim who is deserving of the Caliph title. He is also diplomacy focused and you can build very good relationships with lots of other characters, including non-Sunnis and non-Muslims whom you can then peacefully incorporate into your realm through vassalization offers.
I suggest you to play: -1178 Temüjin Borjigin (Genghis Khan), you can get the conqueror trait with an event before forming the mongol empire -1178 Master Todor (Tsar Peter II), he is a landless character, alongside his Brothers he restored the Bulgarian Empire. -867 the Vālī of Zamindawar has the zunnist secret faith. The Fallen Eagle mod has received a new update regarding late antiquities Egypt (361) and there are some interesting characters.
My opinion on the struggle system is that we need one that is PURELY political. Something like Papal or Imperial supremacy where war between the 2 sides is HEAVILY discouraged, but political actions are the only thing that really move the phases.
Highly recommend a Kuzarite Bosporus run. Start as any of the Kuzarite dukes or count (can't form Bosporus as emperor) take Kerch, and hybrid culture with Greek. You can make the de jure kingdom huge if you conquer enough, but you just need Crimea and Azov. Absolutely OP nation with easy form requirements. Money and dev just go through the roof due to holy site, and the decision bonuses. Also horse archers are so good.
at the end there you don't have a spouse or vizier *on your council* because your wife is running some backwater barony instead of living in your capital 😔
You should bring back the Umayyaads through Wallada the daughter of the last Cordoban caliph. It's actually a really cool playthrough to play as her unlanded and try to usurp the sunni caliphate.
Is it possible to host a multiplayer game of CK3 with your ultra hard everything hidden mod pack? I imagine most PCs crashing every few minutes, but if there were a way to do it. That would be rad. Hope your holidays and new years were great
20:10 uh... that "unknown affliction" death cause is an outcome when seeking out the "wise woman's brew" for a pregnant character... she died trying to abort her pregnancy
You could have used the claim throne scheme in unrest phase of the struggle which gives you a pressed claim on you liege's title. It is better and less costly !
Never going to understnad why people play ck3 on max speed, it's just way too fast and you miss half the events and eventually somehow end up as the only muslim in England
Man, trying to get mods to work with the game are a pain. Right now I've got some sort of bug that turns temples on the map into colorful cubes. A missing texture file or something. I've spent the last four fking hours trying to fix it but to no avail. So I've given up and un-installed the game. I just can't anymore. Welp, time to go drink myself to death while watching laith 😮💨
wesome video! If you'd like to do another historical start, you could try forming the Sultanate of Rum as Suleyman Sutalmishoglu. I'd love to see that.
dodging taxes and the caliph is an average saturday for laith
And then he plays CK3
lol

Oh so thats why I struggle to make armies when playing clan, Thanks for saying it clearly

Going for the 'Not Lowborn' in Dynasty helps for legitimacy a lot
Laith got that "Charles the first" ass haircut
he played so much CK3 he evolved
bro i just checked its so true
"i can't fathom where that one went wrong" you do such a great impression of my father

Absolutely, he's basically the only reason I play in that start date.
Agreed
@@kingjamestres Sleeping on so many great characters. Highly recommend a Kuzarite Bosporus run. Richer than both Romes, and you have Horse Archers.

Also your wife and the Karenids in general were one of the Parthian/Sassanid noble houses and they are descendants of the Parthians in general

This is a certified Persian classic
Fallen Eagle - play as Himyar in 532. Swap back to Judaism.

I remember when Rostam was the only character people played before the Persia DLC came out.

Me and every other Iranian dreams pf this at nights.
You can call it the Iranian version of "i think of the Roman empire everyday"
23:25 Oh look, it's Charles the Bold!
Laith looking like Robert Baratheon
Good job with this start.
I tried it and after some problems did Flame of Persia as Haesteinn's dynasty.
Start as one of the free Punjabi counts in 867 and take all of Persia
Never let this man spell Mazdayasna again
'Did that say Tengri?!' Brilliant
at the end there you don't have a spouse or vizier *on your council* because your wife is running some backwater barony instead of living in your capital 😔
There's a mod that gives you the option to restore the House of Sasan as any member of the Sassanid dynasty btw

0:05 his neighbor to the west is also a sassanid.
Bro started to look like that one guy from the Caribbean Pirate's
I remember the way I did this was swearing allegiance to the Saffarids and claiming their throne
you should try and play as Harold Tanglehair, he is by far my favorite norse start, plus he has some cool flavor if you complete his personal quest
Why do I feel like he's done this before
That's was pretty great waiting for part 2
laith be uploading banger after banger

27:17 soon all of persia will fly what now??!
Since your showcase how to handle the ibadi faith, how about an ibadi caliphate run?

And they were all for 10months ago
20:10 uh... that "unknown affliction" death cause is an outcome when seeking out the "wise woman's brew" for a pregnant character... she died trying to abort her pregnancy
Is there any mod to become member of dead house or dynasty yet?
The second ruler has the same name as me
Thats the fun challenge i needed

Gota love CK3 and Laith
Rostam in Persian poetry and culture 💀
Qarinzade just means son of Qarin which is قارن
Laith starting to look like a King Charles Spaniel 👌
someone write him a book about why it's absolutely necessary you obey him
Create your own Custom culture
As iranian i love this video
You should play a game as a Yazidi or play as a Syriac.
Forming a Cossack culture would be cool to
The start date is 876, is it?
But I get it, remembering numbers can be harder than starting as Aella of Northumbria
Nope it’s 867
No way
Yes Way

Did you equip his OP sword?
Good video laith keep it up
Day 355 of asking for an Oranje Free State Playthrough of Vicky 3. Just 10 more videos and it'll be a year.
