Hi. You watched one of the nine performances of Diana in the TV show "MASK". The participants of the show hide under their masks. Diana Ankudinova performed there in an ermine costume. This became known after her final performance. The task of the participant of the show was to change the voice and manner of performance so that the judges and the audience would not recognize him. Diana went through nine rounds out of twelve. It was very difficult for her to hide her unique voice. Diana used seven different voices on this show. Diana approached the performance creatively. She participated in the creation of the costume. She likes oriental style. She studied the habits and movements of the ermine - this small animal with expensive fur. This knowledge allowed Diana to build the choreography and plasticity of the movement of this character.
Thanks for the fabulous info. I kind of thought it was something like The Masked Singer in the U.S. I have never seen it. Diana's mask and costume were beautiful .I love her that is why I wanted to see her face and hear that beautiful voice. Thanks for watching
@@grumpyoldguyreacts Thank you. I suggest you watch Diana's performance on the show in the final round for her. There Diana took off her mask. She's a little upset because she didn't go any further. Dina sang the encore song "California Dreamin", which the audience liked.
I will definitely check it out. California Dreaming is one of my favorite songs of all time. I loved the Mama's and the Papa's.
Yes 🙌🏽. DIANA made this SONG cover her own. This was during the time she chose to use her own vocals. Throughout the competition she hid her true vocals because this was the goal … the MASK SINGER is just that. The judges have to guess the SINGER while they are MASKED. I absolutely loved her last performances of the show but the original episodes are blocked due to SANCTIONS. The clips were provided to fans by “KOR” and “KWSTAS” and I greatly appreciate them for that. Thank you for supporting DIANA and please continue to review her new ORIGINAL MUSIC 🎼.
I will continue to support her because I think she is absolutely amazing and fantastic. I love her voice and talent. I just was a little disappointed that we didn't get to see her beautiful face. I will definitely do plenty more of her new and old. Thanks so very much for watching.

The idea behind the show and the mask is the artists disguise their voice and the judges have to figure out who the singer is, the song is prerecorded she's not singing in the mask. I love Annie Lennox but I think this is also fabulous. Diana can sing in 5 octaves not just reach the notes and she manipulates her voice like no other, it's all Diana. If you want to taste her singing this in her natural voice there is a short on Sasha Kapustina's channel.
I will definitely check it out. I didn't know that it was prerecorded. I absolutely love her and her voice is fantastic. She is definitely a world treasure. Thanks for watching and the info. I too love Annie
She doesn't sing in 5 octaves. That's just rehashing the urban legend. She sings in a little over 3, as a recurring fan of Diana you should know this.

Greetings from Scotland! Yes, this is the Russian version of the masked Singer. Diana performed 9 times as an "Ermine" or ГОРНОСТАЙ - pronounced as Garnasti. This required Diana to conceal her normal voice of course. I recommend you search for her performance of "Calirornia Dreamin'" to hear that Diana magic come out in full, and a little surprise in her voice pitch!

👉 Diana as the graceful, Japanese-looking ermine princess in the Mask Singer Show 2023 in Moscow. Of course you know Diana's voice and you actually recognize her the moment you hear her... but everything is different here. You hear Diana like you've never heard her before... and you really ask yourself: Is that Diana? Yes, everything is Diana, live and without voice distortion!!! For 5 episodes Diana was able to hide her voice, then it became clear who was hiding under the ermine, and in the 9th episode she had to give up. Until then...
Diana gave us 9 beautiful songs. Her magical, expressive voice gives the songs her impressive Diana style and of course she gives us goosebumps. I still have to get used to the new Diana with the bell-like voice... sooooo beautiful, fantastic, brilliant, grandios, gorgeous, wonderful!!
At this point I must say a few words about the great work of Diana's singing teachers: Prof. Olga Donskoy brought Diana through the broken voice with flying colors, restored the lost high notes and prepared Diana for the entrance exam at the legendary Russian State Institute of Theater and variety arts (Juilliard similar to GITIS). Unfortunately Prof. Olga Donskoy passed away in October 2020 (pandemic).
Russian fans helped Diana find a new voice coach: Alexandra Pismennaya (Sasha, not the Sasha Kvashenaya from the session channel). She was a student of Prof. Donskoy and also has a deep voice. This teacher of Diana's has been doing wonders for the past two years. Not only are the two friends, Sasha has also made a quantum leap in Diana's vocal development, taking her to a new, even higher level. Diana's vocal range has expanded by nearly an octave, Sasha has also enabled Diana to explore new vocal colors (timbres) to expand her repertoire with endless song pieces and genres too...whether they are mysterious and primal like Mother Nature or delicate and wants to sound clear like a little bell, then it will sound like one. You will hear it and enjoy it and most importantly you will feel it deep inside you... I'm sooo excited!!!
Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel that Sasha and Diana Dimash studied very well, analyzed and realized that Diana too can take her skills and diversity to an even higher level... what a prospect, I'm delighted on the journey. Thanks Sasha!

You can see her last performance after she was unmasked where she did an encore of California Dreaming. That is the only one of the episodes where you can actually see her sing. All the masked performances are pre-recorded as it is too difficult to sing in the masks/costumes. I will go out on a limb and suggest what my eyes and ears tell me about her encore performance. She is lip-syncing to her original performance of the song, the one the audience chose. Not having seen the entire show, I will also guess that this was the standard choice for all performers?

@@grumpyoldguyreacts It's all pre-recorded for the show. All she has to worry about on stage is the choreography. There's a mike in the mask, but that is for talking with the judges in a very distorted voice. Diana has a few behind the scenes videos where she's getting fitted for her costume and recording/rehearsing some of the songs for the show.
Music is all subjective, for me Sweet Dreams was in my top 4 favorite performances of her. Upon her exit at episode 9, she was unmasked and performed California Dreamin' without the mask, as a farewell encore. It is epic.
O.K. I didn't know that it was prerecorded. I have never seen the show. I will have to see if I can find her singing California Dreaming because that is one of my favorite songs of all time. Thanks again
