In his last video on instagram, he clearly asks for help, but nothing happened. No one listened. I don't know Korean and I'm not on instagram often, but damn it, it could've been prevented. ANYONE could've done something. He SAID he wanted to get over his depression and even ASKED for ways to change his mood, and that he was very tired. His doctor didn't even treat him properly for depression. Just...couldn't anyone have taken him on a paid vacation so he could get his glow back? This has been happening for a long while and he even expresses it in his music. The kpop entertainment system needs to be changed and there should be more awareness about depression. TOP from Bigbang was saved, but it could've happened the same, and his own doctor doesn't treat him properly either. Just because someone has a "good life," that doesn't mean they're not MISERABLE on the inside or that they're "crybabies." This is a very serious matter. Other people and idols have stated that they have depression. It's a cry for help. LET'S NOT ALLOW IT TO HAPPEN AGAIN.
I actually have experienced it and I don't wish it on my worst enemy, and I'm a person who has always loved life. I knew what was going on after I managed to get over the auto-pilot phase, which was extremely difficult for months. What he needed the most was to change his environment completely, but was doing the same things and talking to the same people, and from experience, continuing the same routine is the worst we can do. It gives a sense of void and that depression will never go away because we're always doing the same things and thinking of the same future. In his case, these and many other factors didn't work. His lethargy and other feelings didn't allow him to see past it and look at the love from his fans, friends, and family. He just couldn't stop it in time anymore. It still could've been prevented, but there's not enough awareness and communication about this.
That's why he was going to a doctor for depression. TOP was also going to a doctor and still is, but if he didn't change to another doctor, that person isn't helping him either. They have been mentioned before, but no one asks them anything. No one changes their attention to the doctors that are being paid but aren't doing their job. They just give freaking tranquilizers while the actual issues persist. The same happened with my previous doctor, but I refused the pills because I knew they would only make me emotionless and not able to solve any problems. These "doctors" need to be investigated because they might be doing the same to others.

At my darkest moments I feel like I was trap in that emotion and people around me think that I am a downer. I was alone and no one tried to help me and I felt that all the people in the world hates me for just looking at me. And then one day I saw a psychic shop near to my city and tried it. The psychic scheduled me for meditation and told me that I am going to survive it. She said that what I need is spiritual guidance. So I started doing meditation and reading books about spiritual guidance. For too long years my dark emotion slowly relieved

It's really heartbreaking because each of these people can understand him and relate on a certain level. And it saddens me even more that a good majority of them are probably going through their own struggles and questioning a lot of things right now. Also, I got into kpop in 2009 so seeing all these faces breaks my heart into even more pieces. My soul aches for Jonghyun and his family and friends.

When news about his passing came out yesterday, it was all I could honestly think about. I'm not going to say that I was heavily affected by his passing, as I know a lot of people are, but his passing did have a profound impact and reminded me how delicate we are as human beings. Jonghyun was an amazing artist and I'm blessed to have been able to experience his music and hear his voice. I hope that his passing will open conversation in Korea, and in other parts of the world, about how important mental health is and how it is a real issue that many people suffer from. I hope that in these times, we not only mourn the loss of a star but also celebrate everything he stood for and everything he did to make hundreds of thousands of people happy. May he finally, finally rest in peace and may his family and friends take comfort in knowing that he's no longer in pain.

In his last video on instagram, he clearly asks for help, but nothing happened. No one listened. I don't know Korean and I'm not on instagram often, but damn it, it could've been prevented. ANYONE could've done something. He SAID he wanted to get over his depression and even ASKED for ways to change his mood, and that he was very tired. His doctor didn't even treat him properly for depression. Just...couldn't anyone have taken him on a paid vacation so he could get his glow back? This has been happening for a long while and he even expresses it in his music. The kpop entertainment system needs to be changed and there should be more awareness about depression. TOP from Bigbang was saved, but it could've happened the same, and his own doctor doesn't treat him properly either. Just because someone has a "good life," that doesn't mean they're not MISERABLE on the inside or that they're "crybabies." This is a very serious matter. Other people and idols have stated that they have depression. It's a cry for help. LET'S NOT ALLOW IT TO HAPPEN AGAIN.
I actually have experienced it and I don't wish it on my worst enemy, and I'm a person who has always loved life. I knew what was going on after I managed to get over the auto-pilot phase, which was extremely difficult for months. What he needed the most was to change his environment completely, but was doing the same things and talking to the same people, and from experience, continuing the same routine is the worst we can do. It gives a sense of void and that depression will never go away because we're always doing the same things and thinking of the same future. In his case, these and many other factors didn't work. His lethargy and other feelings didn't allow him to see past it and look at the love from his fans, friends, and family. He just couldn't stop it in time anymore. It still could've been prevented, but there's not enough awareness and communication about this.
That's why he was going to a doctor for depression. TOP was also going to a doctor and still is, but if he didn't change to another doctor, that person isn't helping him either. They have been mentioned before, but no one asks them anything. No one changes their attention to the doctors that are being paid but aren't doing their job. They just give freaking tranquilizers while the actual issues persist. The same happened with my previous doctor, but I refused the pills because I knew they would only make me emotionless and not able to solve any problems. These "doctors" need to be investigated because they might be doing the same to others.
Eika Pumpkin I’ve experienced it too. It’s this weird feeling of constant stress and anxiety on the brain and the body for no reason. I kept trying to find why it was happening but found nothing. It passes and goes from time to time.
Eika Pumpkin I have experience this too for like about more than 5 years. I did not take medication but I think what helped me to get over my darkest moment was talking to psychics. I know it is wrong advise to people who are currently experiencing but I was lucky enough to get helped from empathy psychics. After a while talking with them and doing meditations it feels like the emotion of having too heavy burden slowly taking off. At my darkest moments I feel like I was trap in that emotion and people around me think that I am a downer. I was alone and no one tried to help me and I felt that all the people in the world hates me for just looking at me. And then one day I saw a psychic shop near to my city and tried it. The psychic scheduled me for meditation and told me that I am going to survive it. She said that what I need is spiritual guidance. So I started doing meditation and reading books about spiritual guidance. For too long years my dark emotion slowly relieved

When news about his passing came out yesterday, it was all I could honestly think about. I'm not going to say that I was heavily affected by his passing, as I know a lot of people are, but his passing did have a profound impact and reminded me how delicate we are as human beings. Jonghyun was an amazing artist and I'm blessed to have been able to experience his music and hear his voice. I hope that his passing will open conversation in Korea, and in other parts of the world, about how important mental health is and how it is a real issue that many people suffer from. I hope that in these times, we not only mourn the loss of a star but also celebrate everything he stood for and everything he did to make hundreds of thousands of people happy. May he finally, finally rest in peace and may his family and friends take comfort in knowing that he's no longer in pain.
