@@no_one-at-all for me Dunkirk was a very slow story to begin with and mixed with Nolan's style of filmmaking where he lets us simmer in each and every scene plus the back and forth timeline made it very boring. Cinematically it looked amazing, each and every frame beautiful to look at, but nothing special, as in its a big drop from his previous films for me.
And don't get me started on tenet
He is the greatest director of all time. Just look at how many great movies he made. The Dark knight trilogy, Interstellar, Inception, The Prestige, Oppenhiemer... Many of those movies have argument for being the greatest movies of all time.
@@nah5925 I haven't seen tjat movie, but that movie is movie with many different opinions. Some people think that's one of the worst Nolan's movies, some people think that was his best movie. Even Quentin Tarrantino said that Dunkirk is Nolan's best movie soo... I need to watch that movie, but I'm tellinf you that there are people eho really like that movie.

Many people still watch their movies years after they are released because they stick with them and they make them feel good. If you don’t like then you don’t like them. The original poster is not wrong for stating his opinion. It’s his opinion. Nolan is one of my favorite directors of all time and I love his films. All of the people I’ve talked to love Nolan as a director. If you’re getting like this over a simple opinion then I don’t know what to say.

@@Pouffly Nolan deserves it too. 2010 Inception, I don't know who directed better movie than him that year. To me honestly he was without competition. In 2008 Dark knight also, I don't believe there was better director than him that year, 2014 interstellar, even The Prestige... And it would be just criminal if he doesn't win Oscar for Oppenhiemer.

Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, David Fincher, Ridley Scott are all amazing directors i love but Nolan made Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Prestige, Interstellar, Inception. Those films are amazing. And Nolan is my favorite director. The Dark Knight alone is enough reason for that.
