What's crazy is Bobby Manna is still alive and he's 94 years old. He's currently doing time in Federal prison on a 80yr bid. His out date is 2054. In 2020 he was 90yrs old and ask for a compassionate release but he was denied. A true die-hard Mobster
I remember in the early 1970’s my Dad would always get a phone call from Bobby, when he was in Trenton (Superior Court)I knew this because if I answered the phone he would say “tell your Dad it’s Uncle Bobby” my Dad later go out and meet up with him for dinner somewhere in the “BURG” I met him only once when they came to my house for a little bit him and always another guy they would talk to my Grandmother so nice, she was always nice with him and then my Dad would tell me go outside and play for a little, I would Shake his hand and the other guys and just go outside and fuck around!! They were only there twice and always seemed nice! They were like Cool Guys!! He was 10 years older than my Dad but it just seemed like they were the same age!! He didn’t look older!!
FRANKIE STALE! I know grew up and worked with many of the brothers and still am good friends with all of them!! Yes they had an Irish mother so he could never be made!! His father Papa Stale had a Joint and ran games and had a Book after the War! Frankie was the second of 7 after BIG JOHN! Frankie was 10 years older than me, He was one tuff SOB I will give him that but just a young and reckless kid from the “BURG” Chambersburg, Our Neighborhood, TRENTONS Little Italy 🇮🇹 ( now sadly a memory and a Hispanic ghetto) an Italian/American enclave of about 20K people with restaurants and Festivals, many of the nuns of the grammar school i attended also had taught in NYC’s Little Italy 🇮🇹 St. Joes and also in South Philly! Mine’s was St. Joachims! These neighborhoods are carbon copies of one another and the kids all of the same mind set!! We were basically, All of Neapolitan background! While North Trenton, was the Sciggie Neighborhood where Nicky Russo and Johnny Simone and Pinky Costello and Pappy Impolito, and Pal Joey Farinella, were from, but the ”BURG” was the Hub of the Italian/American community and were everyone came to hang and do Business this is where my Godfather Pat Spirito was from! In those days I ran with a bunch of kids my age my Father and Pat had a policy operation!! Frankie was in the middle with his generation above me and below my Dad and Pat! My Dad and Pat had their ties with the real hardcore Mafiosi Nicky Russo who was a Gambino along with Pal Joey, the rest were part of the Bruno’s! My Dad and Pat as a kid told me to stay away from Stale he was on a Bad Road and won’t be around long!! This was way before things happened, but he was more in tune to guys my age and had younger brothers who I knew and was friends with! So I listened but didn’t stay as clear as I was told but clear enough! I was 16 and Nicky was getting ready to open up a restaurant in the “BURG” PENNYS named after his daughter! Old Peroni’s or Botel Inn! The Place was getting renovated and Nicky had me my friend Frankie and another kid Steelface doing some of the renovating, we would work and drink beer at the same time this one night Nicky and his son Mikey came in to see us and gave us all a double saw each ($20) not pay just for working, he was like that! We were pulling tacks from the covering of old chairs with hammers and pry bars, the pulling the cushion material off and sanding them down!! We were there for a good 6 hours that night armed with a case of beer!! There was a joint across the street and another restaurant my friends Dad owned “The El Dorado” around Midnight we heard a little quarrel between a bunch of guys! In that area and time this was just normal to us, we kept doing our business! About 45 minutes later we all heard like a loud car screeching and at the same time a few gunshots!! And no they didn’t sound like fireworks they sounded like gunshots!! We looked at each others laughed and said what was that??? Let’s give it a few minutes before we go out and look! About 5 minutes went by we seen a Cop wagon and other cars and an ambulance pull up, we closed the restaurant lights and locked the door went out the Chambers St. door walked on the other side of the El Dorado and on Franklin St. was all the commotion We seen someone get into an ambulance but there were still ambulance drivers around another person back then we didn’t have all that Paramedic stuff just an ambulance to cart you off to the hospital and a few orderlies!! We kept walking and all got to our homes and would meet up early in the morning on this corner we would hang out!! I remember reading the morning paper and walked up to the corner and Steelface and Frankie were there also with newspapers!! It was NICKY RUSSO and His kid MIKEY who got Clipped MIKEY Died on the spot Nicky was in the Hospital with a gunshot wound and would leave a day later without having the slug removed!! He died with it years later!! But the next day word on the street was it was FRANKIE STALE who did the shooting! And later that night word was he was a MARKED MAN!! We didn’t see Nicky again for over a month! We went by the restaurant later that day and detectives were all over the place, we laid low, everything stopped with us Steelface said he had to give the keys back to Nick and he wanted to see us at the restaurant we went the place was being repaired and other more professional older guys were doing the work, He questioned us a little we told him everything exactly what we knew from that night we wished him our condolences and sympathies he was ready to hand us over a $100 bill each, We all Refused the money and we were all dead broke but it was the right thing to do, especially then at that point!! I never seen him again only once while walking by another restaurant and he waived at me! 2 years later STALE would be found on Valentines Day in his Brown El Dorado Caddie in the Trunk in a Northeast Philly airport parking garage brutally beaten tied up and shot several times!! He was dead at 28! Now 45 years ago!! All the things that happened!! I can go on and on with those stories!! Who ever thought things would be different as they are today!! So many people dead!! And I was right there!! It’s all gone all History!! Crazy!! Back then You would have to be INSANE to shoot at a MADE GUY! People have NO CLUE the respect these guys had You couldn’t even raise a hand or your voice to guys like this! I miss those days everything was more structured and people knew there place!!
great story. when i read Mafia Prince Prince and Blood and Honor ( the books she is narrating) i would try to put myself in the neighborhoods and surrounding areas as i was reading. i often thought about the regular civilians in the neighborhood that obviously knew these gangsters. Either they were in school with them or grew up playing football or baseball with them. or the older adults remember some of the gangsters as the son or nephew of someone they went to church with or worked with and allmof a sudden 10 or 15 years later thatnkid turns out to be Nicky, or Phillip, or Salvie. and also like you mentioned, the amount of respect these guys commanded and received in the neighborhood. Also im sure they kept the neighborhood relatively safe. from what i understand, Italian communities were pretty close knit back then. everyone knew each other or at least within a 3 or 5 person radius knew the family so outsider couldnt just come in and rob a business or assault a woman without some serious repercussions
I know the situation with Chucky, why scarfo took him down.. But what was the problem with Lawrence why did he take his rank?? Because he was Chucky brother??
That's ironic that Nicky demoted Chuckie down to Soldier when that's what he told The Crow 🐦⬛ he wished Salvie would've jus got demoted from Capo down to Soldier.
Leonetti's soft voice (in real audio) betrays the thuggish/murderous writing -- "cocksucka" and "tha mothafucka gets this 🔫" seems like a completely different person -- wild to live such diverging lives.
Its obvious that Salvie was the Catalyst or should I say the real Glue that held that family together. Jus think about it, the way the Philly Mob fell apart after his execution. Phillip's life sounds like it was miserable being wit his Uncle Nick 24/7
Scarfo once he killed Testa it was the end of his crew. That murder, his wanton greed and bloodlust ultimately did the damage and it made the feds job easy .
This is my favorite channel on TH-cam. I think the Philly mob family has one of the most interesting stories and this channel tells it well!
I really like the narrator's voice. The story blows my mind.
Same here.
Like the narrator’s voice?? Sounds like she’s feeding pain
I think she’s unlistenable
I was wondering if it's a real voice or A.I.
My problem is I go through these too fast, they're too good haha. More plz 🙏!
Great Work!
I peronally can't enough of these time capsules. Thank you kindly.
I declare,!! this Is the best damn channel on TH-cam!!!
I truly love this channel this channel became my favorite channel on TH-cam god i love this channel
Another great story about the Philly mob
Years ago, there was a DJ named Andy-K in the 1980s who ruled Margate in Kent, UK. Long gone are the days of a misspent youth.
Fire🔥🔥🔥, the narrator...genius. You could visualize the plot, like a movie. Respect from Los Angeles. Keep on taking care of business or its this 👉
Nicky had a screw loose IMO. Ya gotta know when to fold em.
Great content. Been watching for awhile now. Love the way the stories are told here. Keep up the good work.
Watching from North Jersey. 🇮🇹🇺🇸
Great narration. Took me a minute to realize who she was acting as ..great job !
*We all have one thing in common… We’re waiting.*
I love your channel and your videos. I'm just wondering what your going to do when you run out of Philly stories? Are you going to do New York mafia?
Great channel

Philip should of talk to his uncle i truly believe if Philip talk to his uncle he would of give salvie a pass
It sounds good but I don't think no one could've changed Nicky's mind when it came to Salvie. Scarfo was to jealous and paranoid at that time in 84
I know the situation with Chucky, why scarfo took him down.. But what was the problem with Lawrence why did he take his rank?? Because he was Chucky brother??
Lawrence wasn't coming around enough. And he was also putting his business called "Nat Nat" above the Mob business
That's ironic that Nicky demoted Chuckie down to Soldier when that's what he told The Crow 🐦⬛ he wished Salvie would've jus got demoted from Capo down to Soldier.

You're 💯% Correct
Here's my question the video starts by saying 1985 but I thought Salvie died in 1984
Re watch it and pay attention.
The couple last videos were about salvies Murder bro
@@benallmark9671You're absolutely right. I understand the scheme of the way the video's timelines
Wonder why Joey Merlino NEVER mentions Salvie?
Probably jealousy
He does he says Salvie and him use ride horses
Why ypu didn't said that about salvie you should of stand for salvie tell ur uncle salvie is salid
Leonetti was weak and not so bright. Blood or no blood it was a big mistake.
GREAT STORIES GOOD 👍 JOB. SOMETIMES THE BACK GROUND MUSIC 🎶 🎵 IS TO LOAD. I KNOW YOU CAN'T MAKE EVERYONE HAPPY. 😂😂😂😂😂. MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎅 🎄 ❤️.
