I way I have it set up is so overpowered. I have 10 power rushes with 4 pretty luckies, 2 lucky days, and a close call. You can kill anything easily with that amount and enemies will have roughly 75% chance of missing you.
Something to note about the P Down D Up badges, is I believe they are calculated separately from defense. Meaning even a move that pierces Mario’s defense will still do 1 less damage (per badge if you can get more than one).
Yeah, P-Up D-Down and P-Down D-Up modify the _incoming attack power itself_ (so even if Mario has no Defend Plus and thus 0 DEF, P-Up D-Down still isn't free, incoming attacks will still deal 1 extra damage magically)... in fact, I think it technically causes 0 POW "attacks" like _the stage fog_ to hurt Mario. I don't remember if D-Up can turn an incoming attack _into_ zero damage or if it's a minimum of 1 though (like how no amount of Flower Savers can make an FP move free), but since the PUDD/PDDU calculate _before_ actual defense, if Mario has a Defend Plus on top of that, it _can_ make the attack zero whether he Guards or not.
Yes, they circumvent piercing attacks. So with enough of them Mario basically becomes invincible. Fairly obscure tactic from the game, but would require a lot of grinding to get enough of the badges.
It's kind of funny how danger mario isn't just a killing machine but also the best defensive build in the game because of last stand and the way it's calculated. I'm pretty sure there's only like 1 enemy in the game that can kill you in one turn with an optimally defensive danger Mario and proper guard timing (superguarding isn't even needed). Plus you can heal with Hp drain. It's not as strong as in 64 but it's still pretty absurd.
@@Dexuz Nope, before everything else. So if an enemy does 10 damage it would be reduced to 5, then with a few defensive badges you can easily reduce it to 0. If it were the other way around you'd always take some damage. At least that's how it is in 64 but I think it's the same in TTYD, with the only difference being that the damage gets rounded up instead of down, so it's a little worse but still absurd.
@@SuperS0ul Yeah, pretty sure in TTYD it got nerfed, acting after defense, prolly because the strat was busted in PM64 and you could even block final Bowser's fire. Though I'm not sure if in TTYD Last Stand ignores piercing moves, I know P-down D-up does.
I would like to mention that Ms Mowz's Kiss Thief doesn't need the enemy to have an item or badges. Instead, it is guaranteed if they have one, otherwise an 82% chance for a coin, 16% chance for an item, and 2% chance for a badge. There are some good tips I have as well. If you feel like it, you can grind Chain Chomps, who carry Defend Plusses. There are also guys that can drop D-UP P-DOWNs Pianta Parlor is still better.
idk if any1 else will see this, but an easy way to get a load of power rush badges is once you obtain the gold card from frankies quest, go to the parlor and play the tube game from the front desk. it only costs 10 pianta tokens to play, and if you get a run under a minute while collecting all 20 pianta tokens you can get 40+ tokens every run. since 1 power rush badge costs 100 tokens, it should only take you around 4-5ish minutes to be able to afford one badge. if you grind it out you should be able to get upwards of 20 badges (40 extra damage) in less than 2 hours (it sounds painful but it is much better than stealing them from paratroopas)
2:35 so the setup for this is just spike shield, ice power, multi bounce, go to the stats changing guy to reduce your HP to 5, and get as many power rushes as humanly possible.
If you're having trouble with Power Bounce, just know that the timing for the action command gets harder after every jump, but the 4th jump in particular is always very difficult. So if you're always struggling with the 4th jump, that's probably why
@@IDontKnowHowIGot2TheKFC oh I know it was nerfed, but bounce 4 being frame perfect and it being easier is a little strange feeling. It would make more sense to make it frame perfect from that point on
Like most here, I've played the gamecube version so I've enjoyed playing the game the "normal" way. On the switch, I went danger Mario and now I can't see myself going back. Really helps speed things up when you're trying to 100% the game.
Getting a Mega Rush P badge for the baby Yoshi sidekick works very well, if you leave him at his base 10 HP and let him get whittled down to 1 HP. You'll just need to take 3-4 Dry Shrums with you to rejuvinate him back to 1 HP when he gets killed, which isn't that bad. He has the multibounce capability (Ground Pound) as well! It comes in handy when I go on an Amazee Dayzee Safari!
The most consistent way on setting up danger Mario is just beating the first 6 chapters to get full access to the power rushes and since it’s so easy to get bread in this game you can just buy your way to victory and speedrun the pits and the last two chapters.

I actualy think a better place to farm Power Rushes is the Exhibition Match for Shady Koopa/The Shellshockers in the Glitz Pit. I get kinda sad knowing that there isn't really any challenge to this game anymore that isn't' self inflicted because literally everyone uses Danger Mario instead of attempting to beat the harder bosses legitimately with strategy
Luckily it isn't until chapter 7 or so that you can easily get lots of Power Rush badges, and people have some really creative strategies for this game!
I mean, yeah this gives you a bunch of power But i dont wanna grind for them My 2 Power Pluses, All or Nothing, Jumpman, P-Up D-Down works fine for demolishing anything, while also keeping a bit of the challenge
Never used a Danger Mario build before and this DOES look fun. I take it this guide works for the original as well? Just destroying everything in sight like a God is always fun.
Agreed. I made the mistake to run danger Mario as a kid for the 100 pit trial run. The fight felt ridiculously easy that it kinda ruined the victory for me. I suggest to only do this after beating everything legitimately.
I get that this is the most broken strategy, but I just feel like it ruins the challenge and makes the game less fun. I can look up guides to instantly solve all the dungeons in Zelda games, and obviously that’s the most “efficient strategy” to defeat them, but am I really accomplishing anything by doing that, besides taking away any interesting decision making or challenge from my own experience?
Yeah Meanwhile me Double pain 2 unsimplifiers p uo d down and HP drain ( to lower my attack back) Mario takes double +2 damage and action commands are harder
Not sure what you're on about. Looking at this video is literally the same as looking up the guides you mentioned. It's entirely optional, and no sane person would go all in on high damage if they're unsure about keeping themselves alive.
that why that paper mario is the worst version ever made that sure make the game with max dmg make to play the game more easy that why the 64 version is FAR better for the reason we have limit badge and cant use dupe exept for focus i dont uderstand why people love that paper mario easy to stay at 5 hp boost flower badge and only pwer rush prety the most useless way to play seriously do that then just stop the game what the point to play for one shoot all enemie u dont get fun of playing in that way and make that video is not really better
WHY the hell would you need to use ANY cheats for a Mario game!??? They are always SO easy......Pathetic if you need an "edge" to beat one of these games!!!!!!!! Try Gardening!!!!
I didn’t know about this until after I beat the story. I have 50 power rush badges so my damage is 99 per hit. Maybe a little over power but I flew through the 100 pit challenge easy.

I get kinda sad knowing that there isn't really any challenge to this game anymore that isn't' self inflicted because literally everyone uses Danger Mario instead of attempting to beat the harder bosses legitimately with strategy
Luckily it isn't until chapter 7 or so that you can easily get lots of Power Rush badges, and people have some really creative strategies for this game!
no, literally everyone does not use danger mario. There are people out there like myself who prefer to complete this game legitimately with strategy.
Yoshi's island snes, ❤ U ZXMANY
"I am the one who stomps!"
Hi there zxmany
is this good for the final boss? Ive been stuck for days!
This can defeat the final boss very easily, life shrooms can also help (they’re 40 coins each at the Twilight Town shop)
This is nuts haha. I do charge boost instead if i want to do massive damage bcz this just breaks the game
it’s saying i can’t decrease my rank anymore even tho i have 15. how do i fix this?
I mean, yeah this gives you a bunch of power
But i dont wanna grind for them
My 2 Power Pluses, All or Nothing, Jumpman, P-Up D-Down works fine for demolishing anything, while also keeping a bit of the challenge
Power rush is the best badge in this game
Never used a Danger Mario build before and this DOES look fun. I take it this guide works for the original as well?
Just destroying everything in sight like a God is always fun.
Yeah, I remember grinding the casino to hoard an absurd amount of them and sweep the entire Pit.
@@Dexuz Which mode is easiest to farm the most coins the fastest? I tried the Plane mode but I can’t seem to reach 500 no matter what.
@rasheedloudermilk1055 Maybe for you, but I love feeling like a god and destroying everything in one shot.
hi Zxmany I’m your fan and when you play plants vs zombies it’s my request
Can you play Mario Party Superstars but everyone wins every minigame and gains 100 coins?
I can't run danger mario it just feels too cheesy. You so easily just one shot everything.
Agreed. I made the mistake to run danger Mario as a kid for the 100 pit trial run. The fight felt ridiculously easy that it kinda ruined the victory for me.
I suggest to only do this after beating everything legitimately.
No wander why damage badges are so expensive, rare or bp costly. Anything that increases damage makes your encounters a joke
No mega rush?
Mega Rush is at peril, not at danger.
I stopped at doing 40 damage per hop
Its my little brothers birthday today

Day 392 is asking ZXMany to play Paper Mario: Color Splash
I need my Paper Mario to be harder not easier 😆
I Don’t have Coins 😢
I get that this is the most broken strategy, but I just feel like it ruins the challenge and makes the game less fun.
I can look up guides to instantly solve all the dungeons in Zelda games, and obviously that’s the most “efficient strategy” to defeat them, but am I really accomplishing anything by doing that, besides taking away any interesting decision making or challenge from my own experience?
Yeah
Meanwhile me
Double pain 2 unsimplifiers p uo d down and HP drain ( to lower my attack back)
Mario takes double +2 damage and action commands are harder
Not sure what you're on about. Looking at this video is literally the same as looking up the guides you mentioned. It's entirely optional, and no sane person would go all in on high damage if they're unsure about keeping themselves alive.
Bro tune your monitor / tv that colour saturation looks dead
looks fine to me
@@gothard5That's exactly the issue lol
What's the point in playing the game with danger strats
nice lol
I perfer Peril strats
Lol I can do 300 or more in one battle
Pff, only scrubs use the Danger Mario build. Real men can beat every boss with no items, base power with the Double Pain badge equipped.😜
Super guarding only, no attacks even
that why that paper mario is the worst version ever made that sure make the game with max dmg make to play the game more easy that why the 64 version is FAR better for the reason we have limit badge and cant use dupe exept for focus i dont uderstand why people love that paper mario easy to stay at 5 hp boost flower badge and only pwer rush prety the most useless way to play seriously do that then just stop the game what the point to play for one shoot all enemie u dont get fun of playing in that way and make that video is not really better
Don't do this if you are not done with all the chapters. Do this only after you finish the game or else you will not enjoy the game anymore
Ok
Enough mario play something different
Shut Up Let Him Play What He Wants You Don’t Control Him
Womp womp
WHY the hell would you need to use ANY cheats for a Mario game!??? They are always SO easy......Pathetic if you need an "edge" to beat one of these games!!!!!!!! Try Gardening!!!!
I didn’t know about this until after I beat the story. I have 50 power rush badges so my damage is 99 per hit. Maybe a little over power but I flew through the 100 pit challenge easy.
