If you plan to leave the injectors out of the engine for a long period of time or couple day ,make sure you cover them or leave them inside a diesel pan , if not you will have to replace an injector or more. Also make sure to prime the fuel system when you are ready to start the engine after this repair or you can damage the fuel pump since fuel cools down the fuel pump ,it is bad to overcranck engine with fuel pump dry.

When seals go bad on injector cups that's why I get antifreeze in fuel and get bog down and a back fire. I can tell it's in one cylinder because truck keeps running at 45 mph. Truck in shop and getting head gasket and all seals replace 😢

Very very good video, my brother. Recently I met these problems : diesel in coolant, coolant in diesel ! They changed all 6 injector cups . But after fix that. I feel my truck no power now ,lose power than before . Also high fuel spend. Before is 8.0 MPG, now drop to 6.6 MPG. Do you know what happened? I spend $6000 to fix. Then my truck becomes weak.

We put something in dawn dish soap but I don't remember what it is the cups maybe? idk personally I haven't got to do any but you make it look easy idk what the other mechanics complain about maybe its the DD-13 in the day cabs since you dont have much space for 4 5 and 6

My truck is shaking and when I started it up and trouwing a lot white smoke. They checked injectors and they're working properly, no leaks, no coolant consumed, what to do think is the probleme. Yoy think is the injectors cups?
a word of warning, snug down the injector, loosen the bolt- then install the fuel jumper line, after the fuel jumper line is snug then torque the injector as required. if you don't do it this way you cannot turn the injector so the threads for the fuel line will start. when all that is tight then tighten the inj line rubber seal to the cam frame. you want everything centered up before you tighten anything or it will leak. if you see any engine oil in the injector harness connectors replace the harness. you do not want oil migrating down to the ecm- much more expensive to replace the ecm.
Just put the injectors in the same place But, it you install a new one. There will be not fiscal issues if you don't calibrate the MCM with the new injection. It can only affect on how smooth the engine runs or economy of the engine.

Hello I got a question. I did a replace a number 3 injector, replace the injector harness, replace the fuel line, and the after I replace it put everything back together and I try to start a truck. It will crank couple times, ( weak crank and stop cranking and it won't let me start a truck, did pump the fuel try to start the truck through there starter and it won't start, I didn't programmed the new injector in the computer, do you think it will be the problem that the truck won't start or could be anything else, maybe the starter but before I did this job, the truck start fine. I don't know, if you have any idea, please let me know. Thank you

I have a 2015 DD15 I done everything on your video (great) to replace cups. I replaced everything on video but now I have code spn 651 fmi 5 . It shows injector 1 short circuit. I Did not have no code’s to begin with.. I replaced cups,cleaned injectors ( soaked incarb cleaner and clean with air) all the rings and brass seal. All filters. What to do next??? hey FA. i have a 2014 coranado 132 with 776k miles. my trucks using antifreeze. they pressure tested system it’s holding 1500 psi. they suspect this same issue. what are signs this is the issue ? and what’s the normal cost to have this fixed
My truck is a 2015 with 490,000 miles on it I don’t have any problems but the dealer is telling me I should replace my injector cups at 500000 miles as preventative maintenance what is your opinion what mileage should you have them replaced at if there is no issue they said if I don’t have them replaced and something happens it could cause the one box to go bad

Hey Francisco having a issue that may be similar. I’m having issue with fuel becoming aerated and causing a chirping noise around 1000 rpm . Dealership has been doing fuel aeration tests. Per tech notes when attaches adapter to the needle and amplifier return lines behind head and does a fsic test can see bubbles coming out of needle and amplifier return lines. When disconnects fuel injector lines and caps fuel rail ports fuel rail pressure holds within spec. Dealership is recommending to replace all 6 injectors as the fix. Does this sound correct to you or do you have any videos on this subject. Issue truck brought in for is low fuel pressure and chirping noises at 1000 rpm. Shows spn 157/10, 157/15,157-16. Thanks for any suggestions or help !
If you have a 2017 + truck, yes, that could be a very possible solution. When you get rail fuel leak problem most of the time injectors go bad but the external and visual inspection must be done before to see if there is any physical leak

The General vehicle warning light (check engine light) keeps coming on after about 30 min of driving each day. Then the check engine light will go off, and the low priority warning light comes on. It then stays on for a day or two then goes away. Do you have any idea why this happens or what I can do about it? I just replaced the DPF filter. Thanks for any help you can give.
The code 3251 is the most important. This code means DPF pressure out of range high. This could be caused by: Bad DEF pressure sensor DOC restricted flow DPF news service DPF restricted flow Broken DOC DPF module

I have freightliner cascadia 2016, after a trip while parking the truck in the yard I saw three lights on the dash. The stop engine light, the check engine light and the light with fuel icon with three drops ( water in fuel). I see three codes: spn 97 fail 16, spn 97 fail 31, spn 1111 fail 1. The next day I opened the hood and saw that the coolant in the reservoir (white tank) is empty. I opened the valve below the glass bowl filter (diesel water separator filter) and saw red fluid coming out for a while and it turned normal colour. Looks like the coolant is present in this filter. I put some coolant in the reservoir and cranked the engine. I saw the coolant level going down in the reservoir. I again opened the valve below the glass bowl filter and saw red fluid coming out. Amaya, what could be the issue here?

Will a injector harness cause a sudden no start? There is oil all over inside the plugs when i unscrewed them frm injector harness. There is NOT oil at the harness where it plugs into the ecm Has all new fuel filters. Also has no check engine lights on. Its stuck at a truck stop and i cnt start it. I did clean the oil out of injector plugs that screw in the injector harness There was a plug near the ecm that had alot of oil in it that i cleaned. I have a new engine harness and injector harness but would like to not do it at a truck stop if possible. It also will not let me crank for very long. Sometimes a second or two others a few seconds very rare it will crank for several seconds. Also theres been no problems with crazy check engine lights either. Theres no check engine light on at all. PLEASE HELP... by the way love your videos i watch them all..
I need to check to be sure, but it looks like your fuel injectors are bad. Check the fuel pressure with the DDDL software if the fuel pressure raises, your injectors are going to be bad. But I recommend to check everything first.

So you are expecting to spend $5000 +/- parts and labor, including the cups and seals

My tool is OEM not mod.
You have to rotate the top screw to release or hold it.

Yes, you just remove the line.
Use a 19 mm wrench. And then you can easily remove the seal.

I know internationals are odd ball numbers, like 17 lbs/ft plus 60°
That equals like 35 psi. That same can be applied to DD engine. If you give to much torque they get stuck and it is ready hard to remove them.

Hey Francisco having a issue that may be similar. I’m having issue with fuel becoming aerated and causing a chirping noise around 1000 rpm . Dealership has been doing fuel aeration tests. Per tech notes when attaches adapter to the needle and amplifier return lines behind head and does a fsic test can see bubbles coming out of needle and amplifier return lines. When disconnects fuel injector lines and caps fuel rail ports fuel rail pressure holds within spec. Dealership is recommending to replace all 6 injectors as the fix. Does this sound correct to you or do you have any videos on this subject. Issue truck brought in for is low fuel pressure and chirping noises at 1000 rpm. Shows spn 157/10, 157/15,157-16. Thanks for any suggestions or help !
If you have a 2017 + truck, yes, that could be a very possible solution. When you get rail fuel leak problem most of the time injectors go bad but the external and visual inspection must be done before to see if there is any physical leak

Replace the fuel lines and test the truck, let me know if any changes.

The General vehicle warning light (check engine light) keeps coming on after about 30 min of driving each day. Then the check engine light will go off, and the low priority warning light comes on. It then stays on for a day or two then goes away. Do you have any idea why this happens or what I can do about it? I just replaced the DPF filter. Thanks for any help you can give.

The code 3251 is the most important.
This code means DPF pressure out of range high.
This could be caused by:
Bad DEF pressure sensor
DOC restricted flow
DPF news service
DPF restricted flow
Broken DOC DPF module

I have freightliner cascadia 2016, after a trip while parking the truck in the yard I saw three lights on the dash. The stop engine light, the check engine light and the light with fuel icon with three drops ( water in fuel). I see three codes: spn 97 fail 16, spn 97 fail 31, spn 1111 fail 1. The next day I opened the hood and saw that the coolant in the reservoir (white tank) is empty. I opened the valve below the glass bowl filter (diesel water separator filter) and saw red fluid coming out for a while and it turned normal colour. Looks like the coolant is present in this filter. I put some coolant in the reservoir and cranked the engine. I saw the coolant level going down in the reservoir. I again opened the valve below the glass bowl filter and saw red fluid coming out. Amaya, what could be the issue here?

Will a injector harness cause a sudden no start? There is oil all over inside the plugs when i unscrewed them frm injector harness. There is NOT oil at the harness where it plugs into the ecm Has all new fuel filters. Also has no check engine lights on. Its stuck at a truck stop and i cnt start it. I did clean the oil out of injector plugs that screw in the injector harness There was a plug near the ecm that had alot of oil in it that i cleaned. I have a new engine harness and injector harness but would like to not do it at a truck stop if possible. It also will not let me crank for very long. Sometimes a second or two others a few seconds very rare it will crank for several seconds. Also theres been no problems with crazy check engine lights either. Theres no check engine light on at all. PLEASE HELP... by the way love your videos i watch them all..
What is the year and the mileage on your Cascadia?

I need to check to be sure, but it looks like your fuel injectors are bad.
Check the fuel pressure with the DDDL software if the fuel pressure raises, your injectors are going to be bad.
But I recommend to check everything first.

Probably on of the seal was not installed properly or it was defective.
Que tal Francisco, mira tengo un problema con un DD15 marca alta presión de aceite, y derrama aceite de motor por el contenedor de power steering, ya le cambie el PS filter y el crankcase filter, pero la presión sigue alta y sigue haciendo el by-pass del aceite de motor al Power Steering, talvez pienso que pudiera ser el compresor de aire, antes de pensar en la bomba de aceite, espero me pudieras ayudar, gracias
