There was also a scene missing where Ronald tells to the producers that he finds it extremely odd when “a female tells a male what to do”… Too much toxic masculinity. That’s the problem… I am sick and tired of these men. In my country there are plenty of them, but I am definitely not going to boost a man’s ego all my life or tolerate a behavior where the man does nothing because “he’s the man in the house” in order to have one by my side. I prefer to be alone if that’s the case.

I'm sure he could do more to help. And the way he talks to her is obnoxious. The way they talk to each other is toxic and stupid.
But on the subject of the poopy diapers, I think the issue is that he's concerned with being able to clean her properly because of the female anatomy. My husband had the same concern when we first had a baby girl. We ended up following up with cotton balls and warm water to make sure we "got it all".
Maybe if she didn't get off on telling him what an idiot he is, he could get more comfortable with the cleaning process.

What I've found in dating men (from many different cultures) is that even the ones who say they believe in equality only believe in equality until you earn more/ are better than them at stereotypically "male" things/ show that you are not only equally capable, but perhaps even more capable. South African, specifically Afrikaner men (I am Afrikaans, so dated my fair share), are definitely guilty of this, due to the patriarchal messaging pushed by the church. I'm living abroad now, so I know there are crappy men everywhere, even (maybe especially) the ones who think they aren't...
But you're 100% right that men and women who are brought up in religious Afrikaans culture, believe that there are specific gender roles (which coincidentally benefit men).

My opinion? Ronald has deep seeded issues. In this episode he told Tiffany " know your place" woman. That is a male chauvinistic remark. Very demeaning, as if he is above her, ideology. Very toxic when used as a weapon to restrict and control women. Ronald has a unhealthy and toxic primitive mentality and ideology of women. He has made statements in recent clips indicating that he plans on keeping Tiffany and the children there in Africa whether they want to be there or not. And he has also made statements in a clip that he is not going to let Tiffany leave Africa with the children. His making such statements indicates to me that he is deceitful and manipulative,, that he is planning to take the children from Tiffany in order to keep them there in Africa. . Which is not only dangerous but is indicative of a criminal mindset. After having watched those early previewed clips, then seeing Tiffany and the children arrive in Africa, at Ronalds house, then seeing that bedroom without any windows in it and that lock on the door, ummm it gave me the creeps, and the impression that he was or is planning to hold Tiffany and the children there in Africa against their will there, aka illegal detainment. She had better get a plan together to get him to run to the store or go out with his friends, and get packed up and leave while he is away from the house, because it is not looking good. In his clips he stated he has a plan to keep them there. Which means he never meant to go to the U.S., he plans on them staying in Africa regardless of what Tiffany wants. This is the way an abusive, possesive and controlling criminal mind thinks. Not someone who loves his family. She had better wise up and make a plan to get herself and the children out of Africa. She and the two children are American Citizens, born in the United States.. He knows this,, yet he thinks he can force them to stay. Not good.. Tiffany needs to get out of there with her two children, then once home, divorce Ronald. I do not trust Ronald at all, especially after those solo clips where he made those telling plans of his keeping them in Africa and "not letting her leave with HIS children". Very scary.. wondering did anyone else see these solo clips? And if so, why no one is mentioning this in their comments.

don't get excited bc as soon as they exit the building they literally disregard everything the therapist says. He says STOP criticizing each other... Immediately after the therapy session Tiffany to Ronald " that's not criticism. That's the truth."... Seriously!? Even though she's justified in her frustration with Ronald the therapist was right. She should help build him up ( and that goes both ways), stop nitpicking and find areas to praise him and show appreciation. He will then want to do better for her. Again i understand her frustrations but she chose to start a family with him. You have to learn to pick and choose your battles. From the moment she arrived all she has done is tear him down. As the saying goes " would you rather be right or happy".

Lol Ronald did say that he was afraid of hurting his daughter while cleaning her poop. I don't even think he was there for her birth and this is the first time he's seeing her in person, so it's understandable that he's scared/very careful.
Still, he could just watch Tiffany and learn rather than shying away from it. Could also be a weird "dad" thing where he can't reconcile that his baby girl will be a woman some day.
Also, Tiffany is sexist herself in that she constantly berates Ronald for not being a man. She reminds me of Vanessa who likes that alpha stuff in men.

Oh goody, a pastor doing marriage counseling. Now, Pastor Paul might be an exception to the rule (the rule being that clergy tend to do marriage counseling without any psych training). Still, I prefer my counseling to be science-based instead of faith-based. Many places have a shortage of secular therapists, which is why the Secular Therapy Project was created.

"Boost his ego" - it may not be worded well, but there is truth to make a husband feel wanted and needed by the spouse, that she respects him (and of course the other way around). Honestly, it's hard to be married to someone who you don't respect and show respect to. By being careful of his (and her) self-esteem, it encourages to do more of the same. The opposite is really disdain and contempt.
