- As promised here's a tour of the New Forest's Ashurst Camping in the Forest Site. Camping in the Forest is a joint venture between the Forestry Commission and the Camping and Caravanning Club. If you're a member of the later remember to use your membership number to book and you'll get a 15% discount which can (I think!) be used in combination with other offers like family and/or grass only pitch and/or midweek and/or OAP deals!

Hi and many thanks for the video it was good to see through your front windscreen, but the side camera made my vision feel a bit strange. We have camped all our lives and love it, seeing your video has made us want to visit this site it looks very relaxing and as we are both now 70 years old, relaxing is what we need. 🤣

Yes the campsite is quite large from what I remember. I used to take the family camping there in the mid to late ‘90s, when the children were little. If I remember there was a pub just before you get to the site entrance, I think it was called something like “The happy cheese”, although it’s been awhile since I have been there! 😁

Do they accept tents
Yep, full facilities at this one ie loos, showers, etc. I think all Camping in the Forest sites accept tents but quite a few don’t have full facilities, which can make it tricker if you’re in a tent.
