I’m excited. I bought an all clad double boiler at the Sally Ann yesterday. Its new years eave. With you I’ve been Inspired now. Replication Is on Its way before the new year 2024.
Just curious…. When you say Sally Ann, are you speaking of Salvation Army? That’s what my mom used to call it. I’d never heard it referred to it like that anywhere else.
I don’t know why I was so afraid of hollandaise. I decided to try some hack recipes and they never worked. Now that Thomas has helped me build my confidence once again I'll be making hollandaise this way from now on!
Wow thank you for some real basic cooking tips that I didn’t know. Egg handling is a real art I really want to make the hollandaise sauce for my sweet momma. I love cooking for those I love.
My Top Secret Favorite breakfast dish is one I NEVER make for myself (and I’m an avid home cook!): eggs benedict. The reason I’ve spent years ordering it at restaurants while never cooking it at home is because I’m TERRIFIED of attempting a hollandaise sauce. Your tutorial made it look so doable though!!! I feel invigorated! I have some awesome ciabatta buns at home that I cannot WAIT to top with a delicious poached egg and pan seared tomato and this gorgeous sauce! Thanks for the recipe! ❤
Always love watching your videos that give me confidence to attempt and succeed at making these dishes! Question : can this sauce be stored? If yes, what should be done before serving?
Thomas Joseph, excellent tips and tricks to making Hollandaise one of the 5 Mother Sauces!!!! Would you mind showing how to make Bernaise sauce????? I have found both Hollandaise and Bernaise both rather difficult when I read how to make them.
Love the tips and tricks! How would you keep the hollandaise warm before plating? If you have extra, what is the best way to store and reheat hollandaise?
For occasional use, heat a Styrofoam cup with a splash of the boiling water & hold the sauce in the cup. For frequent use, use a small vacuum cup instead of the Styrofoam cup.
ok this may sound crazy but im in school but was thinking of how to boom up a cheap meal and wondering if its possible to make a hollandaise sauce that i can drizzle over fries.. i figure make the sauce with a cheese to make a cream add diced spam cause you know "dollar tree " and some diced chives. what do you think and how would you change it up as for the cheese not sure but thought id swap cheddar for gruyere, halloumi or goat cheese sprinkled with a lil nutmeg..
Seeing your cooking, I also became interested in cooking. I like your recipe and your food is very tasty. May God always be successful in this way. Who agrees with me? support
I can't be the only one who thinks this show should be TJ making a bunch of common mistakes AND THEN showing us how to do it properly? ...rather than him just walking us through a recipe like any other cooking show? IDK haha
People have been commenting on this for literally years: the audio mixing on Thomas Joseph’s videos needs work. The intro music, and then the ambient noise, overwhelm his voice. Other presenters on this channel don’t seem to get the same treatment... 🤔

hollandaise is one of my favorite of the daughter sauces
Daughter sauce? I was under the impression it was a mother sauce.
@Kurt Smithson
Escoffier classified it as a mothersauce.
Mothersauces:
- Hollondaise (base: butter&eggyolk)
- Velouté (base: white stock)
- Béchamel (base: milk)
- Espagnol (base: brown stock)
- Tomato (base: tomato)
Love the way explained…… some things are slow process this is one of them……

Cover the sauce and keep near the stove until ready to serve
For occasional use, heat a Styrofoam cup with a splash of the boiling water & hold the sauce in the cup. For frequent use, use a small vacuum cup instead of the Styrofoam cup.
Jamie Oliver video says to put it in a thermos until time to serve
It's a very nice video. I have never seen such a video.
Thank you very much.

Thank you!
Can you a metal bowl? Thank you!
You not mentioned clarifying of butter
Good job dude. No clue how your wrist is that strong. I can’t last that long. The hot water into the yokes is a twist
This very patient chef has been whisking what seems like an hour, no thanks , there’s a diner down the block I’m going there
How to make anything perfect.
1. Add Thomas Joseph.
2. Done...
Thank you!
@@everydayfood your welcome. I'm such a big fan!

were you using clarified butter ?
Why the water?
Mayo. Not hollandaise. Alex says so.

Hi
Soooo what are the 5 Mother Sauces?!
Béchamel
Red Sauce/ Gravy
Hollandaise
Au Poive
Bernaise?!
🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤔
You have no Castric!
Mmmmmm. You mentioned lemon curd. How about a lesson on that.
Looks like Hollandaise without even adding the butter! Lots of wrist action and ice cold when done.

Why the hell do you have to talk for an hour to make a simple sauce of 2 ingredients
Too complicated.
I make it in my blender. Super easy. Heat butter to 195° and slowly add.
Too much bla bla bla
Talk less and get to the point!!!!🤦🏻♀️
You talk so much nonsense!!!
Too much talking 🧐
If you don’t like it, watch something else. Why would you make such a criticism, really? You find something about him that makes you uncomfortable?
You talk so much!
