I've only recently discovered Wegman, and I have to I instantly fell in love with his work. I photograph a lot of animals, mostly studio, very different stuff to what he did and is still doing, but I find William's work to be very inspirational.

I had a similar reaction to Martin Parr at first, but I grew to love it. Some of his work has actually made me laugh out loud, like his Auto Portrait series.

Outstanding reportage about William Wgman and cathartic reminiscence of your love for your cat., which reminds me of Saint Francis of Assisi and his love for animals!

Reading about his process with the large format Polaroids it's really fascinating. Basically he and his crew had only a few days with the studio and it was a creative challenge to find ways to compose scenes, often going to thrift stores for props and seeing what they could put together with it. The idea of this kind of bricolage with the technical exactness that 20x24 Polaroid required is fascinating.

...I've chilled out and can appreciate what these bands bring to the scene. Anyway, thanks for a thought provoking vlog.
ps I'd still love to see some pics of Finley, even though you may not think they're great!

    Hi Ted welcome back.
If you consider in the future to talk a bit more about medium size 120mm film , camera gear post processing etc.
also if you could show your work made in 120mm film
    Thank you

I liked this episode a lot. It was definitely thought-provoking. I'm a well-trained musician, and I would absolutely describe myself as a music snob. For instance, my husband loves The Clash, The Pixies, etc, and I could never understand why. To me, their music stunk because I didn't consider them to be technically good musicians (I know I'm going to get hate mail for saying this). That said, I've slowly begun to appreciate these bands over the years. In other words, I've chilled out and can ap

Just watched Spelling Quiz which is hilarious - the look on Man Ray's face around 0:46 is priceless.

You were talking about humor in photography. I keep a rubber duck in my gear bag at all times just in case I find something that calls out to me.

It happened to me too, I used to not even consider some genres of music as music, because they didn't have what I considered the attributes music should have.
Putting some music on a pedestal and dismissing other as not even worthy of the name music I only locked myself into my own set of rules and standards and lost opportunity to learn new things, points of view.
Plus I looked like an ignorant to people who weren't as close minded as I was.
