      Let me just tell you this:
      This video was great. You actually made me realize that there is no reason at all to be scared to use the camera in front of strangers. Basically: go out! Shoot! React accordingly with respect! I would love to learn more about the behind the scenes of such films as hong kong strong and such, for example how you got all different shots, getting into all those different places like the tram sequences, how long it took to shoot, paperwork, etc...
      And even if not. You are a great inspiration to me and yet i seem to have trouble moving forward.
      Thank you Brandon

    This was so cool to see behind the scenes of how you shoot - love that you were very realistic with how you scout for good subjects and shoot something over and over until you get the 'right' shot. Watching other video makers sometimes feels like it comes down to good luck and some magic rather than patience and smart choices.

    Thank you very much Brandon! You inspire me a lot. I just got my a6600 and that’s a big jump for me from mobile videography. I gave my self at least two years of practicing with my smartphone and Sony rx100. Absorbed all your videos and finally I’ll be shooting my first paid gigs. Can’t thank you enough for these free lessons!!!

    I have been shooting stills for over 30 years and I know that. But I have just started shooting video. A big learning curve in approaching the end result. After seeing so many videos on shooting video I have to say I am so happy a stumbled across you. I subscribed right away. You approach video making in a way that I completely understand. Basically your approach is almost the same as stills. Thank you so much for you time and effort that you have put in to educate people. PS, if you ever need a travel buddy hit me up. LOL

    Brandon, fantastic video for those of us going into different countries to shoot people as they are! I totally agree, how important it is to get into the intimacy of what people are doing---if I stand back and shoot from a distant, objective perspective, I'm creating a level of discomfort and guardedness. I know how I feel when I get the sense that others are filming me...I want to shut down, turn away, or get an uptight, serious look on my face. Instead, you break down walls by just going into the person's space with respect and, as you said, ask THEM to embrace with you the filming.

    • @TrainWithTeesh1

      @@Michal_Kedzierski Why would lowlight have an impact on the gyroscopic data catalyst browse refers to? It's not analyzing the image - only the relative position of the sensor and compensating based on that. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

    • @TrainWithTeesh1
      @TrainWithTeesh1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@timotheeferreol My understanding is that it is using gyroscopic data regarding the position of the sensor and applying adjustments based on that metadata. GPS has nothing to do with it. Correct me if i'm wrong.

    • @TrainWithTeesh1
      @TrainWithTeesh1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it's better that the pro-warp stabilizer. Catalyst browse is actually taking data about the literal position of the physical position of the sensor and compensating for that. The warp stabilizer on the other hand is analyzing in a completely different way that is not as accurate. This can result in strange artifacts and visual distortions. Catalyst browse is not a silver bullet - but its approach to stabilization should yield much better results.
