I like Paul London and I don't think he's saying all of these things just because he's bitter. You can see he's an organically happy guy and he laughs and smiles through most if not all of the stories he recounts for us. He's actually a great story teller. Would love to see alot more of this
According to Court Bauer, during the meetings they would the writers would have ideas for Paul London and Brian Kendrick and Vince would just say loudly “NO!” then cross his name off. Then they would the writers would say “okay, but they have the tag belts, why don’t we take them off of them?” and Vince would say “NO! We need them to have the belts or the belts need to be them!”
as a kid watching that segment I TOTALLY got the “village idiot” thing Paul was going for lmao i remembered being so confused reading reports there was “heat” I thought he nailed it
Ironically this lil moment was the defining moment of his career. I really like Paul he’s a cool guy and he seems much happier and more importantly at peace with the past (Ashley) and his tenure with wwe.
London went from "please dont die !" chants from fans in ROH to "Please dont smile " comments from Vince ! Haha ! Im kidding . I love ya Paul ! !!!!! This comment was a knock on Vince not you buddy !!
I still remember being 10 years old being glued to this storyline because I really hoped it was Paul London. I hated McMahon and loved London and I knew it would mean he would be in the big stories
6/17/2003 ( WWE SmackDown TV Taping ) San Antonio, Texas: SBC Center: After this Show Paul London shook Vince McMahon hand grabbing only two fingers tight.
@marcbasil he's not a trust fund kid. He bought the company from his dad and shareholders. And had to have it paid off in a year and did so. Now his kids are trust fund kids
Depends who you ask, some say they love the guy. He gets like 3 hours sleep a night and doesn't stop working, I'm not sure who wouldn't be a bit of a prick in those conditions lol
it was stupid of him to smile, but it shouldn't have been that big of a deal. Like when Titus grabbed Vince that one time on camera and almost got fired.
And if london is to be believed, they could have just refilmed it. It's not like there were any choreographed stunts or spots that would have made it challenging. Also , why not just tell the roster what the segments for? No reason to keep them in the dark in regards to the storyline
Watching the segment live with my cousin, we genuinely had a conversation thinking was London the one who murdered Vince purely because he was smiling? He was the only one with an expression on his face just looked so out of place at the time.
Hmmmmm I don’t think so because Vince had power over both. London mentioned Ashley going into his office for indefinite periods of time. Why do you think that is?
WWE politics is so middle school
So modern politics in general then....
Well when you had a demented owner running things with yes men you get that outcome
I love the idea of Vince scanning the room like a submarine periscope. 😂
Lol
😂😂😂
Man when you see the clip of paul london smiling and kendrick trying to hold his laugh back. Got me crying so hard
Actors/performers make choices. It’s their job - especially when not given specific direction.
That’s what Paul did.
Vince never liked him
That was hilarious the way he was smiling that Vince McMahon
Paul is likable.
Paul London has to be the funniest man on planet. lol "Vince is acting Queer" lmao
hallmark channel faces😆🤣

i can already hear vince saying “WHY WERE YOU SMILING?!” 😂😂😂😂💀💀💀💀💀 if i were there id been dying after hearing him say that
5:05 I'd imagine Vince saying that anytime somebody came with an idea that might actually benefit the talent.
Vince McMahon 77
Michael Hayes 64
Kevin Dunn 60
Bruce Prichard 60
vince is such a weirdo this is same guy who hates people sneezing

It was me, Vince! It was me all along! - Paul London to Vince McMahon in the next life
hahaha "Damit it....IT WAS PAUL LONDON!!!!"
Paul is the man.
Paul london was smiling cuz he planted the bomb but it was meant to go off earlier...he didnt know it would kill vince
Crazy to hear him say it was in Hershey, pa born and raised
Big fucking deal
7:28 hahaha you nailed it
@@bilders6701 lol. Thanks pal
This is groundbreaking for real fans
as a kid watching that segment I TOTALLY got the “village idiot” thing Paul was going for lmao i remembered being so confused reading reports there was “heat” I thought he nailed it
Seems like a cool guy
Dream wrestling rotation when smoking, me,rvd, Paul and Jeff

Is there a full episode?

lol!

Vince sounds like a dude you dont ever wanna meet Definitely don't wanna work for him
Uhh he’s some old rich white trust fund kid…what’s your point?
@marcbasil he's not a trust fund kid. He bought the company from his dad and shareholders. And had to have it paid off in a year and did so. Now his kids are trust fund kids

He grew up in a trailer park…
Well with what's come out now, yeah, pretty despicable person.
Its okay, i think Vince lost in the end :-)
Don’t know how he got reprimanded for smiling at his boss. There had to be a major reason for him to be gone that was taboo
They were told not to smile and just watch Vince walking by. London was pulling a funny face.
Prince of Persia arc
Dug The Rabbit Tribe. Dug Paul, What can be Said.

Still one of the best clips. I think Vince came close to stopping there and addressing it.
Paul London DOES what Genesis DON'T!!!
Legend. Smartass legend. 😅
Who was the girl standing next to Maria she wore all white.
Watching the segment live with my cousin, we genuinely had a conversation thinking was London the one who murdered Vince purely because he was smiling? He was the only one with an expression on his face just looked so out of place at the time.
Well we never got to see the rest of this story because Chris Benoit went psycho.
allegedly
Getting mad at something that small on an angle that stupid is mind boggling
Legit. I doubt anyone even noticed London as they were in shock from the limo exploding
I think "village idiot paul" would have been a better heel than "concussion eric young" was when they turned him evil in impact wrestling
Wtf. 😂
Ijjj
Or you could not know what is going on and just do what was asked of you. That's always an option.
No wonder why Vince hated him and didn't respect him at all, when he gave him a limp handshake. Also not acting serious didn't helped him at all.
no man that’s ridiculous, that’s what we call petty infantile bs. You can be the head of a company and not be an egomaniacal machine.
Because Vince is senile and has an extremely fragile ego.
With what we learned recently. Imagine if Vince was jealous of London over Ashley? 🫢
Hmmmmm I don’t think so because Vince had power over both. London mentioned Ashley going into his office for indefinite periods of time. Why do you think that is?
WWE has the gayest backstage culture I've ever heard of 😆
