hi, if I'm doing a complex assembly, after completing it i thought to change the dimension of a part. Is there a way in assembly where all parts associated with it also get change in their dimension automatically instead of changing one by one all the way?
Hello Mohammed Shakeel, how are you? I'm Brazilian and I need a help, How can I create a note related with a formule? Example: I'd like to create a formule K Foctor = ((Thicknes/2)*(2*PII*r))*0.4 and the result will apear in a note. Is it possible? If yes, can you create a video please? You don't need to reply my formule, if you create any formule that the result will apear in a note for me is ok. Tks in advanced
Hi Thiago, Sorry for the late reply, I noticed your comment now, I try to reply all comments I get, But some of them I miss. Coming to your question, First of all, why do you want the formula to be shown in a note? Is it for your own reference or is it for someone else who refers your CATPart file?
howENGINEERSdoit! I work in a company that bend parts and in the 2d we include some dimension in folded view, but in the FTA mode we dont have possibility of unfolde the part, isn't it? Thinking it, i thought the possibily to use the bending furmule, that is L=L1+L2+0,5pi(r + 0,5s) where L is the total flange unfolded, L1 is a Flange Lenght, L2 other Flange Lenght, r is the neutral curve of part, ans s in the Thickness. So, I'd like to include this formule below of dimension in the FTA mode, is it possible? Tks so much
Sir, If i want to that Diameter is dependent on formula such that d= (p*t)/(0.6p-c) in this p and c are not any geometry related parameter. (p=pressure c=corrosion thickness) how to relate this with d
Dear Pratik, If the pressure and corossion thickness are constant, You can create a parameter for both of these and directly enter their values while creating them, Henceforth You can use the same parameter in the formula and the values will be read from their respective values which have input previously. If you still have doubt, Give me a more detailed scenario and I will make a custom tutorial on it.
Very important. ..useful topic....
I'm requesting you , can you send the Tool test diagrams for design engineer trainees

Very nice explanation.
Is it possible to use a parameter to define the height of the pad?
+spdwarf sure u can. Just create a parameter and assign a formula and then relate it into PAD feature.

Thank you sir. I will try this once if I unable to do it, I will ask you for help with providing more details. Thnx once again
how do you make a formula with a metric thread?
