Thank you!! (It was definitely not our original idea, so can't take credit). But we loved the idea of keeping the door, so we didn't have to sacrifice the visibility the windows provide. Welding it together just makes it seem so much more secure.
This is one of the best interior designs in an rv that I have seen. Proof that you do not need a very big and long bus in order to have a dedicated bathroom (I've seen others skip it because they thought it would consume too much space). I love that you kept the emergency exit on the top of the vehicle. Having three exit points in the event of an emergency is certainly a good thing in my book. Well done guys! If I'm going to have my own rv in the future, I'll definitely copy your design haha.
I love it! it actually looks really comfortable and I love the blues and browns. You guys did amazing. I love the quote you guys have " a crowded camper is better than an empty castle" sooo true. Im excited to see more content :)
Thanks for showing your bus. It is just about the best build we have ever seen. Perfect size for two and dogs and well thought out. It would be great if sometime you could do a cost and build process, if you haven’t already. Best of luck on your travels.
Wow, Thank you so much, Jim! That means alot to hear! We definitely put a lot of thought into making it comfortable for us and the furry friends. We have a timelapse of the build, But i will add your idea of a cost breakdown and process to our list of videos to make! Thank you!
You guys did an amazing job! It’s beautiful......I wished you had pulled that curtain up front, I’ve never seen this design before.....clever! I can’t wait to follow you guys
Thank you Kathy! If you are talking about the curtain covering the cab, we didn't pull it back because there may have been a large amount of sunflower seed shells all over the driver's side floor from my husband... But they're clean now, so maybe in one of our next videos we'll show it!

And of course those two dogs are well behaved and adorable. God bless you guys and keep safe and stay strong during this uncertain times. Thank you for sharing this video with us. Un gran abrazo.

I just watched the time lapse video and seeing this is amazing build! Congratulations! I just completed my build turn my 7x14 cargo trailer conversion and live in it full time to. With full on shower but not as nice as yours! WOW. Thank you for sharing your home and build with us!
Thank you so much, Charles! If you ever do a video on your cargo trailer, we would love to see, so let us know! We thought about doing one of those before choosing to go the bus route. I am sure your build is just as FANTASTIC!
Very glad this video exists after watching the build time lapse. Not seeing the final product was a high bummer but this redeemed it. 👏 I’d recommend adding a link in the description and/or in the comments of the other to this video.
I'm extremely happy I found a build that holds 2 dogs ...like I'm one man with two dogs that doesn't need this much storage... I'm thinking I can take 1/4 of a bus like this just for open space for my dogs ... Idk this to me feels a bit crowded with two humans and two amazing dogs... But it looks like a house and I love this ...it took a bit but I'm happy I found this video
Thank you! We spend a lot of time outside with the dogs, for them being inside is mostly for sleeping and travel. You could definitely change some things up and make more room for your pups!
Nice build, and tour! Our shuttle, Serenity, is a 2009 Chevy 3500, we're getting ready for a trip from KY to WA, can hardly wait for our first long trip!
Thank you! And how exciting for you guys!! You know what the best part of living in a bus is? NO PACKING! you move in, and then never have to worry about what you left at "home"! We would love to see Serenity, I bet she's awesome! Best of luck, and I hope you have WONDERFUL and SAFE travels!!
Great job on the build. You might want to reconsider the placement of your CO detector. CO is lighter than air so the highest concentrations are at the at the highest part of the room. Smoke if the same way. This is why you should exit a CO or smoke condition crawling on the floor. Be Safe.
I watched your build video and after seeing MANY of the skoolie projects I have to say your rig is top notch. Very well done. Can't wait to follow along.
Its a great build and a very nice conversion. One suggestion, place your CO detector at least eye level or 5 feet above the floor. Even though carbon monoxide is slightly lighter than air, it may be found with warm, rising air, so detectors should be placed on a wall at least eye level. Again great little bus!
Really awesome build. I especially like the way you did the bathroom. You don't have to take the toilet out. I am in the process of getting a mini bus. Want to come build mine? SC is really nice now lol.

Yes, Height is always a problem. I don't remember exactly how tall our bus is, but with a thin layer of insulation and then the wood on the roof, my 6'3 husband can walk/ stand straight up all the way down the center of the bus. Thank you for watching, and I hope you can find something tall enough!

It's a great build other than there is no place to sit in the living area. They tiny bench looks uncomfortable and for only 1 person. I would have put the bathroom where your clothes are and move the fridge down and change the pantry for your clothes. Then you would have space for a 2-3 seat sofa. A portable kennel can be set up in front of the bed between the bathroom and new repurposed fridge and clothes area. Lots of storage could be put under the sofa(if you had one).
These are all great ideas! The way we built it works for us, because the two of us don't really use the sitting area except to eat. Otherwise, we are hanging out outside, or in our bed, because our bed has the best views! We also definitely did not want a portable kennel, we wanted it to be permanent. Also, when sitting at the table, one sits at the bus seat, and the other uses a folding chair. (We also have quite a bit of storage under the bus seat). We will definitely consider these points if we do another build in the future!
Thank you Marlene! Your english is Great! Our older dog is more trustworthy, and we trust him enough to just hang out in the bus without destroying things. One day the young one will be there too :)
ok, pause right away: welding the original bus door into one piece and adding the doorknob is a stroke of simplicity genius!
ok, back to the video 😀.
Thank you!! (It was definitely not our original idea, so can't take credit). But we loved the idea of keeping the door, so we didn't have to sacrifice the visibility the windows provide. Welding it together just makes it seem so much more secure.
