I loooove those gilding flakes. There really is a big difference between them and embossing powders, so much shinier. Also, that "hide a body friend" sentiment. 😂😂
Just saw this - stunning!!
When working with Gilding Flakes....I use a tray with a high rim, swipe a used dryer sheet or anti static bag across the bottom of the tray BEFORE using Gliding Flakes. I return unused Gilding Flakes back into a LARGE container....Gilding Flakes EXPAND like No Tomorrow! lol One of many reasons crafters tend to shy away from Gilding Flakes like they do with Glitter...very messy however, very Elegant, Rich, Sparkle end result...
Have had these flakes for awhile so glad to see this video to refresh my memory! TFS

I haven't ever used building flakes. I'm not sure I would use them. They are really awesome on your card, Nichol.

Choose a small, deep cardboard box, drop ur project into the bottom, and apply the gilding flakes down inside the box. Kind of like when using spray adhesive or paint and shimmer sprays. U can contain the mess in the box so that u can keep what u would normally throw away and use them another time. Keep this box designated just for gilding. Just a helpful hint for ya 😉

Love gilding flakes but way easier and looks way better if you use gilding flake glues,just use a bit of cut and dry foam to tap glue onto stamp stamp quickly (I count to three lol) so glue doesn't stick stamp to card.(wash stamp immediately just under water as glue is water based)
Then glue is ready to put flakes onto...you get a better coverage and a much smoother finish.
Several companies do the glue,Creative Expressions,Indigo blue and probably even Tonic .
Tonic has Gilding Flakes Adhesive in a Pen forrn (Large and Small) similar to ZIG Two Way Glue Pen. NUVO Glue Pen has Acrylic Emulsion, water, alcohol and NEEDS to be washed off stamps right away or it may ruin your stamps!

Question: after you brush off gilding flakes can you sweep them up and re-use in this case as a tricolor application?

These cards are stunning Nichol and perfect when you need a quick but elegant card. I must admit that I've never used Gilding Flakes before. Can you tell me, is the look that different from using say foil? It's hard to tell when watching on screen. Thanks, so much for sharing Nichol!!!
I've also used gilding flakes. They tend to be a bit more textured than foil. Nice & shiny, though! :)

You didn't list the little ruler you used to straighten your stamps.
Candy Barnett she used the Misti Creative corners to do the positioning. Looks like a ruler.
