I was there on the 31/10/18. They were setting up the mock Merseyrail Stadler class 777 outside the Lord Nelson Street entrance, (by the Wetherspoons and toilets). It's available to view from November 5th.
Yes, theres a couple of units at Allerton Depot now, but they are only being used on Manchester or Warrington Services. They are not being used on St Helens-Wigan-Preston-Blackpool. Someone correct me if I'm wrong?

319's are doing Blackpool to Liverpool now the line has been electrified all the way from Preston.
The only place I've seen 323's are Manchester.

DAVID SHARPLES there is always Northern trains with more than 2 carriages class 319, 323 and they normally use double DMUs on the unelectrified routes

Not one pacer, be sad when the 323s leave the northern franchise at the end of the year.
There are still pacers most days....
The new Class 19x and 331's that Northern are getting are going to replace the 142's from December this year.
