Hey Mia ! Same thing happened to me with Shein, because my order was quite big and pricey so it actually made sense that they would want to be sure I had actually placed it myself. In the end, seeing as they just wanted to check my identity I sent a copy of my ID showing only my face and name and blackened the rest of the info. It did feel sketchy at the time but in the end it really was ok. Hope this helps !
I mean, I found the video useful. I always pay for regular shipping or buy so much that shipping is free, so it was nice to see if "overnight" was something I was "missing out" on-I wasn't.

if you want the overnight shipping on amazon you have to order real early in the morning, like up until 9 am maybe even earlier.
So I work for a major shopping company which I won’t name.. but when it comes to overnight shipping you have to take into consideration it’s overnight from when the company actually gives it to the courier. So it could take 3 days for the company to process your order but once they give it to the courier it’s overnight from that point. So that’s why I never pay for overnight because it could stay take the company 3 days to package your shipment and give to the courier. Once the courier has possession of the package, many companies can give until 8pm the next day to deliver, so ALWAYS get a tracking number and track your package so that you aren’t wasting your time going to the mail when there’s nothing there.
Amazon.ca has one day shipping and before they open a Amazon store in my side of Canada it would take a couple of days now it's next day. You need to have prime or order a prime product.
well i got my fashion nova order 3 days after i ordered it, and it was regular shipping. i think the problem is that she’s in canada because usually fashion nova is pretty good with their shipping.

I think some of you may be confusing shipping with delivering. Fashionnova warehouse ships your packages overnight that doesn't mean UPS, USPS, FedEx, or any other delivery service is going to deliver it overnight.
You need Amazon prime for expedited shipping, and it really works very well!
I've gotten Amazon same day delivery before.. ordered around noon and it got to me by 6. Also, overnight shipping is not overnight delivery. It means they will ship it overnight. The rest is up to the carrier
As i work in e-commerce company shipping means to ship to not deliver if they are saying they will ship the item means from their side they will send over night and rest delivery takes the time it shipping and delivery means different to them. This is just my experience working in e-commerce company most people mis interpret. I hope it will helpful for you mia :-)
I did overnight shipping for fashion nova and it came overnight but I’m also in California USA , and I’ve done regular shipping and I usually get it in no longer than 2 days
idk if it does this in canada as well but amazon prime offers tax free (on certain products) and free overnight shipping if ordered before 10pm!
Honestly for fashion Nova that's pretty darn fast! Normally it takes like 3 days for them to even process my order and they usually come back saying something is out of stock that I have already bought then I can't get a refund and I have to have a store credit it's really frustrating

I work in customer service for a white goods company. It’s will be the security team asking you for your proof of billing. The is normal. I have a lot of customers call in saying their delivery hasn’t arrived and I’ll have to explain that is because they didn’t get back to the security team with proof of billing and that’s why it’s been cancelled. It’s for your own protection, if you haven’t made an order what we call a ghost order and you call and say you haven’t made an order or ignore the text this can allow the company to cancel the order and protect your account. There could be 100 reasons why they found it suspicious. I hope this helps.

Mia I don't think amazon in Canada really has overnight shipping! I live in the Toronto area and sometimes it has the option because they have more fulfillment centres, but I go to school further east and prime is like 2 days as the fastest option out there

Hi Mia, I really enjoyed watching your videos. I always shop on shein. That’s one of my favourite online site. Because I spent too much on their site. I received the same email saying my order is on hold and I need to verify my identity. They said they just wanted to see my name. So i sent them my photo id (proof of age) Australia. I blurred everything except my name. When they received that proof from me, they sent my package. I think they don’t want to let scammers to use someone’s money. That’s why they ask for identity.

If you want something from Kohl’s and the don’t sell it in store (and I know Kohl’s has kinda pricey shipping rates compared to other sites) order it in store at their Kiosk and they’ll ship it to your house for free, and you can still input coupons and stuff.

There usually is but some areas are just easier to ship things to in general so depending on where you live regular shipping sometimes might not actually take longer than faster shipping. I've had that happen but it's because of my location.

Buy the dollar prepaid cards and know what you want and how much it costs and put however much it totals out to be on it and after ordering just cut it up and trash it! That’s what I do, so that it doesn’t keep charging my credit card. Works every time!

Exactly like I've had my PayPal account hacked before so I understand being nervous because PayPal definitely isn't sending you anything... BUT why did THEY need her ID to make sure it was her & why did they only send something through email? They could have at least put a little notification saying her order was on hold our something so she knew it was them.

Overnight shipping means it SHIPS OVERNIGHT. Not gets delivered overnight, 😢
@Ghosty, they have to pack everything into a box, print labels and get it on a truck or plane that will go to your area (this process is what they call 'shipping.') This might take a day or two.
They will then bring it to your nearest delivery hub (ie. FedEx, DHL, UPS, USPS, etc.)
Essentially when you get overnight shipping, you are priority, meaning they will box up and ship your stuff first, before they do any orders that paid regular shipping.

I think you just had a misunderstanding with the shipping terms. Overnight shipping just means that they get your order together and ship it from their warehouse overnight. Overnight delivery is what you thought it would be. Two very different things

I’ve ordered express from ASOS and I got in I think like 3-4 days I think. But I got charged a ton of customs, and when they ship express they ship with DHL who have like $20 in extra fees.

I work for wayfair and it is not possible to express ship to Canada from the US. You should never pay express shipping it will not work because it has to go through customs which can take up to two business days.

Hi mia! Just wanted to let you know that (im pretty sure atleast) overnight shipping actually means that they 'ship' the order to you overnight, and then the delivery will take however many days! Overnight delivery would be what you're looking for :)

Next day delivery is not impossible. That is what FedEx, DHL et al. are all about.
The delay in the fashion nova order may have been due to the customs.
You mention on day 2 that DHL said you had to pay $40. So it reached Canada quite fast.
(Maybe also a couple of minutes before 1pm was not sufficient for the next day delivery.)
So......they didn’t send it out to you from customs until you had paid. Which worked out as 3/4 days in the end.
