- Bob Dylan regresaba a los escenarios en el concierto a beneficio de Bangladesh que había organizado George Harrison, en el Madison Square Garden. En esta canción fue acompañado por el mismo Harrison y por Leon Russel.
Ringo is playing the tambourine, quietly, insistently, keeping the beat, as ever.
❤ BRAVO! THANK YOU 😊
Best rendition of this song ever...prime time Dylan..
Sha Rodrigues I swear. I like it better than the album version. That’s saying a lot.
Ritchie Havens was pretty good
And having George and Leon on back-up didn't hurt, either.
Absolutely
Helloo!! I covered this song in my channel and I really hope you like it!! See you!! 😊
I was 14 when my Aunty Carol took me to see the film Concert for Bangladesh - I was blown away by the music and in particular Bob Dylan. Went out and bought the boxed record set and became a lifetime Dylan fan.
Same. The first benefit concert. Arguably the best up until Live Aid.
This is the absolute best version of this classic!!
I will ∞ that motion!
(I will INFINITY that motion!)
I was in the 6th row center at Madison Square Garden watching this live. A thrill of a lifetime.
I was in the nosebleeds. Lol
Damn You are a legend
We, Bangladeshis will always remember your contribution, Dylan.
YES
i am agree with you bro even i am not Bangladeshi by born but still feel love for bangladesh and salute for Bob Dylan
Pranjal Chakraborty and George Harrison... he was the one that set all this up. bless both of them
Anna Kcmb Yes, thank the incomparable George Harrison!! RIP, will forever love you, and your other 3 mates as well!
George set this up. Dylan almost didn’t even show up. Still did an awesome job though.
I cannot imagine a world without Bob in it
Maybe his best live version ever of this tune ... no doubt .
'' E pur si muove ¡¡¡ '' (And yet it moves) , said Gallileo after being forced to recant his claims that the Earth moves around the Sun .
Best version out there. Better than album version as well
Woodstock 94 version is pretty bangin
Rolling thunder version is also up there
I agree. Best version ever!!!
Bob Dylan's voice was so crisp and clear. I ve read he quit smoking just before this concert. This was one of the best live performances of Mr Bob Dylan
I'm not sure; he explained his changed voice on "Nashville Skyline" to having quit smoking.
I was there. Inccredible
I love Bob Dylan. Love Leon. Love this great version of a Bob classic. Yet no one says one word about George's high baritone harmony? C'mon boys and girls! Talking about a Beatle with Leon and Bob!
Another pretenscious "first name" dropper, as if he really knew these people.
@@jnagarya519 I never personally knew any of the above, nor claimed to. But as a Musician from LA since 1970, there are many other well known musicians of fame I have personally met and knew. No use even "dropping names" to satisfy you, but I have been active on the LA Music Scene from the late 60's to mid 90's. Sorry if I popped your bubble and stereotype of me. Live well, and be healthy and safe in this period of COVID-19, my friend. p.s. Outside of my love of the Beatles, I was one of the lucky ones who saw George's only limited tour of the USA, November, 1974 with Ravi Shankar opening, Tom Scott and the LA Horns, with Billy Preston.
@@jnagarya519 Is "pretenscious" the unpretentious spelling of pretentious?
J Nagarya or maybe he didn’t see the need to use last names because we all understand who he’s talking about in the context of the comment section, you pretentious prick.
@@boxieracorn8445 yeah and he forgot that Ringo is kicking around on the tambourine somewhere.
Bob Dylan at his finest I'm so pleased I have the footage
of this concert! 😊
After 50 years - I am still captive.
Dylan is so surreal and so honest at the same time. This is his vision. It is amazing..
Helloo!! I covered this song in my channel and I really hope you like it!! See you!! 😊
What a beutiful performance. I played this over and over again when I was 16.
Had my first baby and this was on the hospital radio. She aches just like a woman.
He was my favorite singer during the 70's loved his poetry and charisma of a different sort. He just was who he was accept or reject, but ooh what a loss if you rejected.
Try his 1963 Freewheelin'". And his 1964 "Another Side". And his 1966 "Blonde on Blonde".
Helloo!! I covered this song in my channel and I really hope you like it!! See you!! 😊
The most beautiful version by far of this amazing song!! Dylan at his prime at MSG - amazing performance & his voice is stunning
I was 19 years old in 1966 in first year university when I discovered the poet-songwriter Bob Dylan. The first album I purchased was Another Side of Bob Dylan. Immediately I collected all his earlier LPs and carried through the rest - Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited and the masterpiece Blonde on Blonde, with the gem that is Just Like A Woman. This performance of Just Like a Woman at George Harrison's Concert for Bangladesh is simply unparalleled. Never done better before or since.
Believe it or not, Dylan was nervous as hell about this appearance to the point where he wasn't sure he was going to go on stage. This was the first song, and you can hear the nervousness, and you can hear him slowly get over it when the crowd just loved that he was there! So, there was a time when Bob Dylan wasn't sure if he still fit into this rock world. He needn't worry, he was still the leader.
Dylan for sure wasn’t nervous fgs! He was just trying to make Leon feel relaxed and George even more so! Dylan never felt nervous he felt Godlike! Being Dylan was Godlike!
@@dondamon4669 But he was according to Robert Sheldon, Bob's official biographer. It was only during the first verse or so of JUST LIKE A WOMAN that the crowd went wild and in the next verse you can hear Bob coming out. Sure he is the most important artist of the 20th century, but he had only done one lame concert in 4 years, at the ISLE of White. George wasn't sure he would show up.
@@dondamon4669 Stop pretending Dylan is some sort of god. His name is Bob Zimmerman and he's just like me and you.
@@dondamon4669 Dylan was historically nervous on stage
@@fshoaps He’s a better song&dance man than me.
Shit, I was there and it still sends shivers down my spine, maybe the the best Dylan set ever.
Agreed 100%.
I completely agree.
Wow... you were there? You lucky guy!!! That was an amazing concert.
Helloo!! I covered this song in my channel and I really hope you like it!! See you!! 😊
Well that’s bollox! How is this Dylan’s best live performance? He hadn’t played live in a long while! Open ya ears!
Men, when I saw the movie "Concert for Bangladesh", in the year's 70, was indindescribable moment for me. I get to way to the cinema like a dream, like as wonderful dream. I can say, it was the moment so happy for me that I never forget it. For never and ever on my life!
Best version I've heard so far
+Mark Moir i haven't yet but i will in about 5 minutes ,thanks for the head's up buddy
Brings back so many nice memories.
It's beautiful. George Harrison and Bob Dylan really were great together
The Garden was electric. Dylan WAS the biggest rock star on Earth in ‘71. He showed it here.
Made me sad thinking both these guys beside Dylan are gone. He's lost a lot of friends.
As you get older ,you attend more funerals than anything else at 71 I have said my farewells to so many family and friends
Me too brother as time goes on and on how i come to appreciate the late 50s 60s and 70s it a different world now and it really is a selfish me ,mine kindve world we had the answers in the 60s it was simple peace love you brother asnd SISTER now its hate ,creed, and what i can do for myself i think it stinks To all my people out there peace and love always love and peace

Helloo!! I covered this song in my channel and I really hope you like it!! See you!! 😊
Same with Eric Clapton...Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, Jimi Hendrix, Duane Allman, Carl Radle, George and John, his son Connor and many more. And to think that two of the greatest, rocking love songs of all time...the sweet ballad written by Beatle George "Something", and Derek and the Dominoes, "Layla" ....about Patti Boyd Harrison---who first married George, and then Eric!
One of the greatest concerts ever. His Royal Bobness was brilliant.73 years young.
So many songs that touched so many people. Thank you, Bob. May you be forever young.
Thank you Bob Dylan for being my poet; soothsayer for the ages, your timeless music has touched my heart and soul 🌺
And she aches just like a little girl.
Great tune. Just Like a Woman. Dylan!!!!
... she aches just like a woman
Bob Dylan....hippest dude on the planet for over 60 years!
oh Leon sad sad sad .....what a song... love it-those three guys together..awesome
“She breaks just like a little girl” that line gets to me, I love Dylan’s music & the applause gives me chills!! ❤️🔥
Nobody feels any pain...I really love this version of Just Like A Woman. I just love Bob Dylan. I wish I could have been there. I was unfortunately too young. My mother Susan loved Bob Dylan as well. God bless her soul... she's in heaven now. This song makes me think of her. After my mother's death I learned from my father that my older sister Ramona Suzanne's name was given to her because of Dylan's song called To Ramona. What a trip..as they would say in the 1970's.
I remember that day. Best concert I have ever attended.
Early or late show?
@@Flavum I don't remember.
My absolute favourite version of "Just Like A Woman"! Great stuff! Dylan was on top of his game here, no doubt about it :) Davy from Longford in Éire.. :D
Me too! All of his songs at this concert were wonderful! A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall was interesting because he started a different time signature than the original song calls for. I think that's what George mentioned in the audition or dvd extras.
Like more harmonica version'n drums introduction is many wonderful in amplifier high well to people hearing too hurting bass the ear kkkkkk i like this n others band Beatles Queen Bon Jovi so D. Guetta. I get out now goodbye so long for all In Brazil
Big up Longford!
Kelly Gilmartin
Yup! :)
Over all the years this has been my favourite version of the song too, but I've just heard some of the '66 Live Recordings and his performance of Just Like A Woman in Birmingham is breathtaking.
Just him on guitar & harp, singing young and heartfelt.
Best version, ever, by Bob, of the song he wrote!! Cant be touched!!
Magnificent, as I remember from 1971, some things just get sweeter!
Leon,I will miss you. Thanks for your music.Mexico City.
Agree. I saw Leon at El toreo de cuatro caminos maybe 25 years ago.
One of my fav versions of this song. Love early Bob when he had great voice and sung with so much emotion in his voice. He always picked the top people for his harmony and back up band. Thank you Bob for being part of our lives for so many years!
This is the true Dylan we all love
Definitely the best of Dylan live, the feeling for all his songs on concert of Bangladesh is unbelievable. George did well with the production...
Helloo!! I covered this song in my channel and I really hope you like it!! See you!! 😊
Bob was in great voice at this show he also done a fantastic version of Tambourine man
51 years from that day
Thank you Bobby, gratitude from bangladesh
Absolutely Sha! One great concert, with George Harrison and Leon singing backup! Priceless!
And George's trademark guitar.. Made it! Doesn't get ANY better than THIS!
One of his best live sets ever. Thanks Bob. Thanks George.
One of our most beloved song-writer's, voice of many generations, an artist who loved in the word's gently sung in every beauriful style!! God Blessed you, with greatest respect!!!God ❤❤
this is one of the best versions of "just like a woman" for sure. i was 5, got into Dylan in the early 80's, was introduced to rock and roll when my sister and future brother in law snuck me into the drive in in the cubby of the vw beetle she drove, tells me i knew all the lyrics to ziggy stardust when i was 6. george is my favorite beatle, and leon, well , is leon, mad dogs and englishmen, the best live album of all time, thank god for leon russell.
Listening to Dylan over the years has made me keep my inner cool.
Helloo!! I covered this song in my channel and I really hope you like it!! See you!! 😊
I forgot how much I love this song.
this song reminds me of a weekend in Newhaven.Sussex a good matea van and female comany in the 1960 swe had lots of fun y Amazing what can be done on the front seats
Transcendental. And Dylan was coming off some down time and didn't feel he had his full confidence back, as I recall. Wow.
The three of them sounded great on the harmonies.I was always impressed with Leon playing bass on all 4 Dylan songs. He never missed a note.
Dylan-great lyricist and performer.Leon Russell-you were truly one of a kind.Rest well my friend.
Russell was no great talent.
Favorite band is White Stripes and Pink Floyd since I was 14, then I discovered Dylan, and this song in particular, and understand now why Jack White once said, "I have 3 fathers really, God, My Father, and Bob Dylan.
And it can't be proven that there's a "God," so thank you for quoting yet another uncritical moron.

La mejor interpretación de Just Like a Woman que he oído. Gracias Bob, George y Leon. No lo olvidare nunca.
"Just Like a Woman" What a great trio, right? I was fortunate to be at first show at the Garden Concert For Bangladesh, George and Friends. From Ravi Shankar till the last wonderful Full Group on stage, MUSIC. I've never been in the presence of so many talented people. So much love. "She Breaks Just Like a Little Girl" :)
Antonio, mi gran amigo de entonces, siempre cantandomela con su guitarra a cuestas a todos los lados,.ayyy que tiempo mas bonito!...decia que era yo clavada!.
Wow Dylan... the lyrics, your voice 😍😍 and the fact this was for the bangladesh concert was amazing - we became a nation just 4 months and 15 days after this concert
A concert arranged by an Indian- Ravi Shankar and blessed by all the superstars 😊
I think of all George's beautiful musical contributions, capturing Bob's best live performance must be one of them. George - I miss you dearly.
God I forgot How perfect this was and it's sitting on my wall with the other 1400 Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!
recuerdo con agrado la pelicula Concierto para Bangla Desh la cual tuvo mucho exito allá por el año 1971_72. inolvidable
As my classmates & I graduated from good 'ol Ross School, CA (class of 1971) -- this classic 3some charmed "The Big Apple"! Ahhh ....... those indeed were the days ....... filled with sunshine, the blossoming of youth, fun with friends, summer camps, our family was completely intact in perhaps the finest County in the U.S.A. ....... those of us who lived there at that time know to what I refer. George Harrison had just embarked upon his solo career with his eventual classic "All Things Must Pass"! Great times, lots of wonderful memories .......... LOVE IT (despite the troubles too numerous to describe here). Cheers from Cav on the anniversary of Mt. St. Helens, WA "blowin' in the wind"! 5/18/15.
I was lucky enough to be in the crowd that day ; unforgettable....
I was 19, living in the DC area and home from college for the summer. I heard the concert advertised on a local radio station and wrote away for tickets. My brother and I and some friends drove up to NYC for the evening concert. This song was hands down the highlight of the show, among many other highlights. Grateful I saw it.
Love these comments with stories about the clncert! As a 20 year old bob dylan fan i can only imagine what that would've felt like. magical, almost sacred!
Music was pretty good when I was a young man. I miss this.
A SAMPLE OF THE UNIVERSALITY OF MUSIC AND POETRY. BRAVO MASTER!
His Royal Bobness poet scholar and an hero of the highest order, doing his bit for the concert for Bangladesh.
Inolvidable. Irrepetible. Afortunados haberte escuchado y que continues aquí. Un placer maestro.
This is my favorite version.
So smooth! With George Harrison along for the ride ...... I LOVE THE '70s! Bob was in fine form! The message of the song: Women put on a public image -- but deep inside their just kids. Maybe the same can be said about men. Happy Holidays from Cav in OR! 12/16/14.
Robert Cavalier no dylan and russel were along for the ride, harrisons show
Each of us is all the ages we've ever been. We just allow ourselves to get distracted into being whatever age is demanded of us.
I love them all- they became one in the moment. The whole is greater than the parts. Just the way it’s meant to be - a shift in the universe that night and you can feel it still
Been reading the book Blood Telegram which mentions this concert. Dylan returned to stage after a motorcycle accident. Out of recluse he gave one of his best concerts.
Harrison visits India befriends sitar maestro Ravishankar, a bengali. On his request to do something for the bangladeshis came up this concert.
I have always loved Leon, but what a trio this is!!!
Leon Russell was a session musician who had a few years in the limelight. No big talent.
What turns me off to the music is the uncritical "If it's rock, then it's automagically genius, and anyone who happened to be in the room with [fill in the blank] is a genius and more talented than all the others who are greater talents than all the others who have no superior," blah-blah-blah.
The "Boomer" generation created a disproportionate amount of terrific music. But it also produced a disproportionate amount of garbage -- see non-studio "Grateful Dead" for a mass producer of BORING.
@@jnagarya519 wow just wow. Wonder what your contribution to music has been?

love from Bangladesh
Beautiful song very lovely
Esta versión es muy muy buena...mejor que la de estudio. Gracias Bob Dylan por tu música.
Thanks & Hats-off to sir Bob Dylan in behalf of whole Bangladeshi !
Notice that the crowd at the end gave the guys a HUGE ovation! That's because they knew that this tune has all the poetry & feel of the charms of a woman! There's a comforting touch of the 60's involved as well. We were all much younger then ......... despite the turbulence of the 60s -- we had more fun than anguish. At least I did! * Cav *
One of Dylan’s best songs, with iconic harmony
yeah! great rendition of this classic.
Nobody feels any pain
Tonight as I stand inside the rain
Ev’rybody knows
That Baby’s got new clothes
But lately I see her ribbons and her bows
Have fallen from her curls
She takes just like a woman, yes, she does
She makes love just like a woman, yes, she does
And she aches just like a woman
But she breaks just like a little girl
Queen Mary
She’s my friend
Yes, I believe I’ll go see her again
Nobody has to guess
That Baby can’t be blessed
Till she sees finally that she’s like all the rest
With her fog, her amphetamine and her pearls
She takes just like a woman, yes
She makes love just like a woman, yes, she does
And she aches just like a woman
But she breaks just like a little girl
It was raining from the first
And I was dying there of thirst
So I came in here
And your long-time curse hurts
But what’s worse
Is this pain in here
I can’t stay in here
Ain’t it clear that
I just can’t fit
Yes, I believe it’s time for us to quit
But when we meet again
Introduced as friends
Please don’t let on that you knew me when
I was hungry and it was your world
Ah, you fake just like a woman, yes, you do
You make love just like a woman, yes, you do
Then you ache just like a woman
But you break just like a little girl

i don't care what the current bob dylan lovers say, sure, he's still got great lyrics and even better musicians, but so glad i got to see him when bobby had a real voice...

Dylan, at his peak. Incredible.
He had a few peaks! Remember that this performance was considered by many at the time to be the beginning of Dylan's "comeback."
No doubt.
George Harrison y León Russell le dan el toque exquisito!!
Wow this never gets old. Love them all!
i found dylan by mistake, a mistake can always be a blessing, beautiful lyrics, could he write the same songs again probably not, thats why his unique.
it's a beutiful performance and good, Dylan,,

Leon and Billy Preston were incredible. I was 18 and I knew I was experiencing something very special. I should watch the movie again.
Esa canción es hermosa y me gusta mucho esa gran versión en vivo, lo que cierra con broche de oro la participación de Bob Dylan en ese memorable concierto al lado De George Harrison, Ravi Shankar y compañia!!
I was just a year older. Cassidy's songs still are special but I was lucky too, one of the youngest in a large extended family I was exposed to Dylan, Leaon Russell, Joe Cocker etc. I loved the 'glam' scene because I was of that age but these guys, wow.
