It all depends where you live for this kind of stuff. Out here in Korea, no one will think twice when they see you with a mask because everyone wears them.
@@ThisIsAntwon The masks sold around here are rated n95 or higher. They are specifically made to filter particulates in the air. You can get the disposable kind or the reusable fashion focused type. I have a reusable vogmask. You can notice a difference in breathing when the air quality is severe
Honestly if you want to wear a mask in public the hygiene mask is probably the best one to go with if you don’t want to draw attention to yourself as wearing a hygiene mask is common
face warmth is no joke in canadian winter, no one looks twice at a balaclava or other full face covering (excepting islamophobes) so was happy to see this list! v. appreciated

Z-Trip yeah I currently rock a camo face mask I like to mix it with my camo shirt camo sweaters and my camo pants ohh and sometimes my shoes lol at first I hated using them but I got used to them pretty quickly
Could you make a video about the military aspect/movement in/with teachwear? Not a discussion about good or bad, but how the military style and idea comes into existence in techwear
Yeah. Its a cool accessory and all. But it does draw alot of attention in public.. probably not the best for folks who have anxiety and have an issue with people looking and staring at you. Nice vid Antwon👌👍
Very good point, it doesn't really fit in to the more greyman style of techwear which is definitely the side you want to go towards if you're not looking to stand out
I feel like most techwear in general is worn for stunting - and if you're gonna want to stunt, you should be comfortable enough with people staring. It's like when people used to wear bape shark hoodies - everyone would stare, but it just comes with the territory if you're going to wear something that stands out.
SlaccC Tech It’s funny because here in Asia almost everyone wears a facemask due to pollution. Occasionally people will do a double take because I’m 6’2” and rocking all black tactical looking gear, but most days people don’t bat an eye.
Really enjoy the content. While I am not a tech wear super enthusiast per se, I do take a lot of single pieces and incorporate into my wardrobe. More bc of the functionality and cleaner aesthetic of many of the pieces. This video became particularly helpful given the COVID 19 issue we are all dealing with now. Again great content...oh and keep up the self roasting/adlibs to the right (I mainly tune in for those also). Keep the vids coming.
I’m a fan. Almost all the masks (besides the full-on helmet) you highlighted can also serve a purpose, given the right circumstance. I think your discussion was right on point Antwan, good vid!

i actually like both sides tbh. On one side i love the maybe a bit extra cyberpunk "hackerman" look that some people go for but i also like seeing more realistic aproaches. Because on one hand the aesthetic cyberpunk side of it is what drew me in and its kind of cool to see how creative people can get in making these crazy futuristic costume like outfits, but ALSO i think it takes creativitiy to integrate the technical aspect of things into an outfit that doesnt scream "i have NGE(or any other futuristic anymaymay) posters on my bedroom wall"
and yeah i think masks are a big part in techwear and should be worn more often because they have actually purpose... if i go outside at nighttime im always bringing my Balaclava ...even tho its even forbidden to fully cover your face in germany but who cares they dont who i am LUL
Hygiene masks are actually quite useful for preventing allergies during spring and summer, and when you live in an area with pollution or bad air quality, these can be useful to keep bad air out of your system. Also, if a lot of people around you are sick, they are helpful too.
I've been in this style for a while and I love seeing the practical being worn especially the high end products not looking goofy. I also like the people who are creative with the style.
I wear a neoprene mask cause its cold and humid at the same time so it stings your skin if its below freezing, and neoprene masks are pretty practical and dont make me look too edgy
For me, I like that I can wear a hygiene mask for my fits since I live in Japan. And here even if you aren't sick, a lot of people do wear the masks on public transportation and stuff due to close proximity. That said, I also have the Nike ACG 3-in-1 hat with the balaclava, and I like to wear that as a face only cover when I'm riding my bike here in the cold weather. Great video!
I work at a box factory and the area I’m at is very dusty. So that’s why I am purchasing. They supply regular white mask but they leave marks on your nose and fog up your glasses. These masks are awesome
Hey Antwon, Could YOU do a video about green techwear? As much as i enjoy techwear and all black, i am a huge fan of khaki and green in general, and i haven't seen a lot of outfits in this colours. Thanks!
Dang you sold me on the Nike Squad Soccer Snood, everytime I watch one of your vids I end up buying something lol. Good video though, i've always considered getting a mask that I would actually wear for functionality (not just IG clout) and this seems pretty good.
