    Just watched Mateo Medina at Ohio state champs and
    Couldn't believe his speed, then you watch Quincy do this. Very bright future ahead for both

      Arm swing is like Abbe Steiner. The lower the arm swing… the faster the turnover. Their legs are just moving faster… as the arms. But maintaining a natural stride… Some people are just gifted!

    I think he needs one or two more year to be truly top world class 400 meter runner. Don't rush it and just let it happen.

    It’s WILD that his running form is that messy. That means his CEILING (once his mechanics are cleaned up) might be on a whole ‘nother level. HS tracks is going crazy this year. That other dude Daniel Simmons also just went 13:25 in the 5k

      @@timn4481 Having good times doesn't mean efficient. He has a ton of wasted energy on how his body moves. He looks like he is working terrible hard to maintain what he's doing. He doesn't need an overhaul he just needs to reduce some of his movements. Smooth is absolutely faster.

      Every keeps saying all of these national champions have bad (or messy) form: Quincy Wilson, Cheickna Traroe (200m NCAA Champ), Christopher Morales Willams (NCAA 400m Champ). Maybe we need to reconsider what good form actually is.

    The runner in lane 3 should have been dq'ed. He was running on the line throughout both curves.

      From what I can see 10.74 and 21.11. pretty good for his age but nothing like his 400m time

      I’m not sure how strong you realize a 16 year old has to be to run low 45’s. Basically everything about his form is perfect for him right now, look at all the others with better form but not enough strength to keep up

      Bolt was also told his form is bad but when they tried to fix it, his times dropped drastically. SOMETIMES it’s better to work WITH the form than try to “correct” it. In this case, even with poor form, he keeps improving. So they most likely won’t try to change it

    Something fishy going on here: If you freeze-frame at the finish line you will see the time in the lower right-hand corner of the screen as 45:07. The clock on the field shows the same time. Then a few seconds later it changed to 45:13. wtf?

      That's something that happens a lot in track and field. The time is sometimes rounded down or up from the initial flash time. Unfortunate but nothing out the ordinary in track.

    Great talent--Terrible form! I've got to believe that correct form will make him faster. Get him to a real coach!!
