Love these ol saws i ran 1 an still have 1 from when i was a kid. My uncle bought it new an used it for firewood an yard tree pruning for 30yr b4 a fuel line made him give up on it dad got it for scrap an i got it outta truck an kept it.
I have re-built a farm boss just like I watched you do. My problem is that the flywheel will not turn at all once I tighten the nut on the flywheel. Is there a spacer or shim that I have lost in the cleaning process. You installed the flywheel without any issues it seems. Please enlighten me on what I could possibly have done wrong.
There was no shim, but the point system is a lot funny. It does some fairly weird stuff like it is drove off of the flywheel not the crankshaft that could be part of your problem.
@@JKSawShopWitte screwdrivers are made in Germany. Excellent excellent quality. Try em sometime if you get a chance, bet you’ll be happy. Had mine for years & years…no issues whatsoever.
@@JKSawShopalso, not to bug ya but Klein Tools are excellent as well. I’ve had my Klein tools stuff since I did wiring at 15yr old. I’m 53 now and no issues with any Klein Tools stuff either. Videos are quite informative and very patient. Great job!
You know there may be somebody out there who doesn’t even have a socket that would possibly put a seal in, and they would like very much to try on their own? Sometimes I do things unorthodox, that way a variety of people can do something for themselves.
@@JKSawShop Neighbor I also do this but I would NEVER teach using a hammer to Smash in a SOFT aftermarket seal on an 041....or any model for that matter. Socket, piece of wood with a hile drilled out preferably, vice grips or pliers turned sideways with a buffer such as paper towels, thick gasket paper, or even rubber.... dude just be real and own that you should have been VERY CLEARLY expressing this way of install is a LAST resort deal. But even then you can't tell me someone who owns a chainsaw, and a phone or computer to watch TH-cam, doesn't even own a spare rag or towel or shirt to put as a buffer between hammer and seal..... I mean own it I can't respect you unless you own it. Own it mean it and I'll subscribe and hope you subscribe to my channel. But if you can't own it I'm calling you out on my channel bc that's what we do. We call out shitty character including our own.

There are so many different ways to skin the metaphorical cat. If you want to start bashing channels and stirring drama that is your prerogative. I do not and will not stir drama on my channel.

It is me being a good neighbor, and I implore you to consider the fact that this is not a good method to teach people AT ALL. I have my dad's 041 av farm boss that he bought in the early eighties I haven't seen many videos on them so thanks for sharing 👍

And here I was thinking you couldn't find a saw heavier and slower than your 038. Maybe it needs a software upgrade?😆

That’s a fact, snapon or Mac were good tools
I went to Klein for screwdrivers. Made an absolute world of difference. I never had any trouble with craftsman up until the past 5 to 6 years.
