The majority of season 1 is getting to know the characters but if you stick with it you will find that certain things are explained with Lucifer’s sections with Linda the therapist. Uncle Tony you mention that your friend (sorry don’t know his name) makes conjectures about the show but you do the same. For instance you made conjectures about Trixie (Chloe’s daughter). This show doesn’t follow other shows story lines. So just watch, don’t guess. I think you are both missing a lot of subtleties by not paying attention which will kill the show for you both. I will be surprised if you make it to the end of season 1. This show puts forward another interpretation or another way of seeing Lucifer, he is not the evil monster portrayed in other shows. He punishes evil he doesn’t commit evil deeds. So don’t expect him to rip people to bits or anything like that. Remember that he was originally supposed to be Gods favourite angel before he rebelled against him and was cast down into hell. So Lucifer was not evil just a rebellious son who was sent to hell as a punishment. You could say this is his story of redemption. But after spending eons with the worst of humanity and demons he has to discover his own humanity within himself. Over the seasons he gradually changes becoming less selfish and self-centred and begins to care about others especially Chloe. I would definitely enjoy more episodes of Lucifer per week. Seriously though I do enjoy your banter between each other but do feel you miss what’s going on in the show.
I stick to my bet that Trixie gets put in peril and that only Lucifer can save her by making a deal with god. The stuff that is familiar is familiar because it's TV and there is always a dramatic formula for basic TV. I'm looking forward to the Netflix seasons. And yeah, we talk alot.
Supernatural is a show that really can't be summed up in five episode. That's because there is a lot of background information that you need first. Trust me the best way to watch the show is to watch the whole thing.

I feel like the best episodes of supernatural wouldn't make sense without a lot of background knowledge. 5x22 Swan Song for example ties together a 5 season plot arc. Other favourites of mine; 4x19 Monster at the End of the Book, 6x15 The French Mistake, 10x05 Fan Fiction (200th ep) are love stories to the fandom, the cast/crew and show itself and rely on knowing information about the cast and the various plots leading up to that point. It's true that the first series takes time to lay down some of the plot threads but like I say, they take 5 seasons to fully explore. A good portion of the episodes you probably could watch out of order but you deffo won't get the best of the show that way. Maybe you could try the pilot and then if you really wanted to dip in, 5x08 Changing channels as it spoofs loads of TV genres which are entertaining to everyone. It's a massive commitment I know but the best way to fall in love with the show is to just watch it all. Uncle Tony fair enough it’s a massive commitment 😂😂 I respectfully disagree about the doctor who comparison purely because each regeneration was a fresh start so designed to dip in and out, plus have a lot less season long story arcs, let alone an arc that takes 5 seasons. But do understand what your saying about always going to be better off watching it all if you can, but you can’t. Hopefully other people are better at suggesting one off episodes 😊
Supernatural is good for at least the first four seasons, when they knew exactly what they were doing with it. The rest after that is still decent, but it sort of keeps climbing over itself in terms of bigger and bigger bad guys and "only-this-can-kill-them"s. Also, Lucifer's therapy may seem a bit odd and out of place at the moment, but as the show progresses and Linda really starts gaining character, she becomes a really strong character in her own right.
So happy you guys are continuing LUCIFER !! Just note, VIKINGS is also a really good show for a religious undertone - it might be a bit "challenging" in certain scenes (depending on your sensitivity to Viking culture) but I think if you are considering another show as well, VIKINGS would be a good pick as it plays off the concept of the 'pagan' gods vs Christianity. Also, PENNY DREADFUL and AMERICAN GODS have a VERY MATURE and upfront religious tone - but be careful, those shows are dark (awesome, but super dark).

At this point every story ever has been told one way or another (in terms of the "lesson" or "value" we get out of it), so to just dismiss it as "well, it's TV, don't need to pay attention really" is a really childish and naive way of looking at things. It means you don't value the show, you don't value your viewers their time investing in watching your reactions, you don't value TV shows in general. Was gonna watch these videos but with comments like these, I don't see no reason to continue. There's other reactors out there that do take the show they watch seriously.
Another suggestion about Supernatural - you can watch episode 13x16 "Scoobynatural". This the first episode of Supernatural I've ever watched (even before I saw the pilot), it's very entertaining, it's almost spoiler free... It can be a good start (it definitely was for me).

About Supernatural... I can't just name 5 episodes that will tell the whole story. There are little details in every one. If you want you can do 3-4 episodes of each season? I'll gladly tell you which episodes are major for the plot. And I suggest not to do fan favorite episodes cause there are a lot of inside jokes in those and you won't be able to enjoy them.

For starters, definitely watch the pilot episode since it dabbles into the main characters backgrounds. Try to avoid finales and first episodes of the each season if you don’t want too much spoilers. It’s hard to say if this is a useful tip and if you guys don’t mind spoilers. Watch fillers/non story arc/Monster of the week type episodes so you won’t get spoiled on the story arcs and get more characters info. Best example would be the Scooby Doo collab episode (S13 EP16), won’t say much but I’m sure you guys will know what it’s about even from my short description. In all honesty, this show is an awesome binge and the actors who play these characters makes it’s that much better. Hope you guys end up watching Supernatural~!
Yeah, and I didn't feel good about it. I've stopped trying to predict stuff since I tend to be right and it sucks the fun out of the series - although the most recent episode I had a random thought about Eve making an appearance.

I like the therapist storyline in as much as it can provide denouement for the rest of the episode. When it does it well, it works.

I just found your channel, and as an Atheist I find it really entertaining to watch you guys watch the show from the other perspective.
