Dimash is a 29-year-old Kazakh vocalist and composer; He speaks Kasakh, Russian and English and is learning Mandarin Chinese. He sings in more than 14 languages, plays 7 musical instruments. Not exactly the right song to demonstrate Dimash's incredible vocal range and classically based talent, but I'm glad you enjoyed this "simpler" version of him anyway! Anyone who watched the video, made by a fan with his cell phone, of Dimash's show in Hong Kong, had the pleasure of a first contact with the song “When I've Got You” and realized, in Dimash's own music and in the lyrics by Candice Kelly and Dmytro Gordon, a romantic, seductive and passionate song sung with Dimash's own virtuosity. There was tension and anxiety in being able to watch the studio version with better sound quality...
Now, with the release of this music video, we realize how creative Dimash is:
A suspense video with a “noir” atmosphere, but without being located in the past, and a tale of passion about a supernatural creature who feels alone and needs to fulfill his passion for a mortal woman who suffers for wanting and not wanting turn her into one of his supernatural creatures.
Iskander Yerbolat's plot intrigues us to solve the mystery of the entire tale being a dream of a journalist who interviews “DQ”, or being a reality where the “vampire” did not bite his “prey” out of love! Intriguing...
The video is a show in itself: Desaturated with vivid red details (umbrella, blood in the hands, blood in the pool, advertising sign, neon on the mirror...), a classic Rolls Royce, a gloomy and modern mansion and lots of details.
As background music, he uses the work “Flower Duet” (Lakimé) by Léo Delibes. To create an old and suspenseful atmosphere, he does not use the 1968 edition and recording, by Joan Sutherland and Jane Berbié, but rather the original version from 1915, sung by Alexandrovna Mikhailova and Ivanovna Panina, recorded with a gramophone!
The music video is a story that pays homage to several classic dramas involving supernatural creatures and passion! Dimash is the best singer of this planet!!
This song doesn’t even begin to showcase his vocal abilities. Dimash sings almost all genres from Opera, Neo-Classical, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Folk and rap. Sometimes he uses them all in one song 🤣🤣. Okay not all at once, but close. When people ask me his genre, I simply say Dimash (he’s his own genre). Nothing will prepare you for this journey. I would definitely recommend “SOS” 2021 for your next video.
Unfortunately for the West, Dimash doesn’t want to sign contracts because he wants to be free to sing and compose what he likes. Dimash is from Kazakhstan. He sings in more than 13 languages, is a composer and plays several instruments. He has a huge fandom. People from 60 + countries attend his concerts. On May 24 he will be 30 years old and he will celebrate his birthday with a concert in Istanbul. On May 4, he has a concert in Budapest. I recommend you to react to SOS from his digital concert in 2021, Olimpico with Igor Krutoy, Stranger and Ikanaide from Tokyo Jazz Festival. He is fluent in his native Kazakh and Russian with English becoming a very fast third with a little Mandarin thrown in for good measure. However, he sings in many languages, Kazakh, Russian, English, French, Italian, Ukrainian, Mandarin and on and on. He sings in any genre from Opera (classically trained) to ballads, to rock, to rap. The videography on this music video is awesome, Dimash's acting is awesome, and his singing is awesome. But he is showing only a tiny fraction of his voice here. Let's just say, with a Bachelors degree in vocals, a master's degree in composition, a 7.2 octave range and being independent, the freedom to sing whatever he wants to, there is almost nothing he can't do. He's played with everything from Opera to Rap.
Btw he's from Kazakhstan, not Turkey and has had a full time music education since the age of 5.

Dimash is from Kazakhistan and is in a league of his own. Singing in many different languages, genres (including opera) and a very large range of octaves. So you never know what you get, but it`s amazing.

His I'll make a man out of you from the Disney film Mulan is fantastic. His most phenomenal performance is Gethsemane from Jesus Christ superstar.

Not from Turkey. Lol. He is from Kazakhstan. He is just holding a concert in Turkey. A pretty big one, its on May 24, 2024 his 30th birthday. And his vocal range is quite tame on this song. He went pretty low on this one but he is known for his high notes and he didn't go too high on this song. And as for his last name, the G is a hard g, like the word get. Dimash is pretty well known outside of the Western countries, but he is trying to get known over here. This song is part of that step. His other songs vary from classical crossover, pop, rock, folk, jazz, and traditional (his home country) types of songs. He sung in so many languages, but mainly in concerts he sings in English, Russian, Kazakh, Chinese, French, Spanish and Italian. He also sings a song in the language of the country he's visiting. So in Turkey, he will sing a Turkish song.

He is professionally trained in opera, contemporary music, and musical theater. His diverse discography includes genres such as pop, R&B, EDM, rock, folk/traditional, neo-classical, opera, and even rap and hip-hop with a vocal range of 7+ octaves: C1-D8(which doesn't exist on a standard 88-key piano).
Qudaibergen has performed songs in 15 languages and is fluent in Russian and Kazakh while also possessing some proficiency in English and Chinese. A multi-instrumentalist, composer, songwriter, producer, director, and actor, he owns a production company called Dimashali Creative Center. He is 29 years old, 6'3", and a consummate performer. On February 26, 2024 in Istanbul, Dimash Qudaibergen presented a music video for a new work “When I’ve got you”. The premiere took place as part of a press conference held by the artist in connection with his upcoming solo concert in Turkiye.
The main idea of the clip belongs to Dimash and the MV’s director Galym Asylov: “A world-famous artist, who leads a very private lifestyle, decided to give his first open interview. The young journalist chosen by him goes to the meeting in great excitement, immensely worried and tormented by the question: “What if?…”. The woman’s vivid imagination suggests a mysterious image of the main character and plunges her into a mystical story.
“Everyone knows that Dimash is a kind and simple person. Not much is known about his personal life, he does not often appear in the media space and does not give particularly personal interviews. We wanted to present the artist from a slightly different side, in a “book”, fictionalized image”, - shared the director.
Galym Assylov and Zhanibek Gusmanov - the second director of the project and line producer say that the shooting process was very interesting, it took place in Almaty. A creative team of more than 70 people worked on the clip with the involvement of specialists from China. It was there that the costume of the main character was sewn and together with Kazakhstan specialists created the whole image of the artist.
The casting was not simple enough: many actresses and models were tried for the role of the main character and other characters. Three locations were used in the clip, and the search for ancient culture was not an easy task. In a creative atmosphere, a large international team tried to create a mysterious story in every element of the interior, in every detail of the costume, in every frame.
The composition itself was written by Dimash. The author of the lyrics was Candice Kelly. The co-writer of the lyrics, co-producer, orchestrator and arranger was Dmytro Gordon.
“Working with Dimash is a dream for many, and I felt extremely honored and privileged that he has entrusted me to work on this song with him. It felt like a great responsibility, as “When I’ve Got You” was a step into a new direction for Dimash as an artist, and it was also something different for his core audience. Dimash told me that for some time, he wanted a track on the verge of blues, jazz, rock, and r&b, and my suggestion was to make it sound fresh and edgy - something raw but beautiful, something truly unexpected. That has resulted in a blend of some heavy drums, electric guitars and piano together with the orchestra, synthesizers, harmonica, and even a choir. Dimash is the King of vocals and his range G0-D8 really wasn't on display here, considering he spans over 7 octaves. He continues to pump out content, he tackles many genres and he is definitely worth exploring.

Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers.
His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far).
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 in Almaty, Kazakhstan was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄.
He has many incredibly great music videos. The most of them are like mini-movies. And with that one he surprised us fans. Again. There he showed us a completely different side of himself. Not only is he a great (in my opinion the greatest) singer, but also an incredibly talented actor. He made a very convincing vampire. I love that. I love that genre a lot. I was so curious about this video and I think with that he has set the bar very high for his future music videos.
What a great song. A wide range again. Many of the reactors who know him already, don’t realize it because it's not this obvious like in other songs. Excellent riffs and runs. A really great guitar solo. I think he had a lot of fun playing the seducer. It is now one of my favorite music videos. The funny thing is that I said this in his other MVs too😅

Here you can hear a large part of fhis vocal range, as well as an incredibly awesome Kazakh instrument. The Kobys. The man who often plays the kobys in Dimash’s performances is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it.

His performance of "S.O.S." on "The Singer" in China (2017) was my first encounter, and I've been glued to his TH-cam performances and reactions ever since. Another thing reactions have taught me is that Kazakh is called a Turkic language, so it's not surprising you'd guess he was from there. A guy from Ukraine also noted that he could understand much of what Dimash said in Kazakh. His beautiful operatic mother is from Ukraine.
