Its a steering stabilizer that you have on the stem. It dampens the effect of hitting rocks or roots. It slows down the effect of hitting something. The faster you plan on going the stiffer you want it

Like I told you so. We need more safty on TH-cam. Maybe getting old, but raced and had broken ankle and legs and ab 5 concus. Just like helmets, big diff in $500 compair to $99 helmet. Just be safe.
You have to hold the traction control button down until you get “advanced trac off” message on the screen to fully turn off traction control, otherwise your raptor won’t fully disengage traction control. also you can quickly press traction control twice to put it in sport mode traction control.

I would suggest getting new nerfbars with heal gaurds. Makes it way more comfortable to ride and way more grip. Racing a quad is an amazing feeling. Not alot of people do it because they would rather race bikes but its amazing on a quad. Also in the corners slide your butt off to the opposite side of the seat and lean down and hug the tank. Also gbc masters are amazing. Good tread pattern and great grip
The tires to use are either GBC GB3 CST and Obor i personally like the GBC the best the really hook in any type of terrain. Also there is a hydraulic clutch it’s the Rekluse clutch and also love the 450 content
For tires Maxxis razr 1 for the rear tires and maxxis razr 2 for the front tires. It is a amazing tire setup for those quads and very good in the woods. I commented the same thing on the other video lol
obore are also good. or maxxis razr 2 if you dont play doing any road driving (very soft tyre) or any sun F tyre cheap work fine but also soft tyre so dont do any road driving. kenda klaw are good for dry terain and road use hard profile tyre, for dirt mud offroad kenda dominator are great semi soft all depends what you plan on doing..
I have GBC XC’s, I had holeshots and the compound was too soft for me, the GBC’s are a stiffer compound and I found them a better fit for my riding and they last a lot better so far.
When wheeling a quad you don’t have to clutch up get her in first or second and just sit back on the seat and give her the beans I used to have that same quad and raced in a west Texas circuit for years
Keep ur feet on the pegs the need bars are to prevent getting wadded up with other guys racing. In corners get ur weight off the side. Jumping just smooth on the throttle all the way off the jump
The difference between the two is the 700 has all independent suspension and it fuel injected and dry sump motor with 686cc and 53hp factory and weighs 505 lbs but with top speed of 86 to 94 where the 450 has 39 Hp and a lot lighter (350 lbs) with 450cc motor with top speed of 74 I have rode both on long and decently hard rides they both handle completely different I think. But love the vid!

Yfz 450r is the best quad I’ve rode, had a 06 for 8 years and raced it for 4, spanked raptors. Spanked everything I ran against, only thing that will hang is the Suzuki 450r

For tires I’d get bear claw tires insane grip good in mud dirt and grips pavement good to had it on my kfx400 never got stuck on that with them tires
Obor tires is honestly my favorite. Used to run holeshot and got obor and they have wore a lot better. Hard to beat
I really think you would enjoy tt racing it’s not jumping much just mainly sliding and challenging corners

The 700xx is a beast. It’s got irs and runs like 90. They’re stupid fast a great trail bike. You need to look into them for sure

The nerf bars are to protect your feet from trees and other riders and so you don’t break you leg of your foot comes off the peg not to stand on
The raptor 700 has 700ccs compared to a 450r with 450ccs. And when jumping give it a blip of throttle before you launch to get it leveled

Nerf bars are good for bumping trees and if ur foot falls off the peg it can land in the net and not hit the ground
