As a coach, Guardiola was fanatstic. He won 13 titles during the time he was in Barcelona (4 years). But the problem with Pep is that he can't handle big personaltites. he was the one who sold Ronaldinho, Eto'o, Henry and Zlatan.
@@Sui_Generis0 Look what? 1.3 billion and no Champions. With that budget, you put anyone from any average pub and half drunk and the results would be the same or better. Its actually embarassing. Same with Bayern. He took a team that won all three titles and nothing at all
I'm reading Ibra's book and the way he puts it is that during the first three months everything was perfect but they wanted him to behave like a "School Boy" he tried to change his ways but wasn't having fun. Then Guardiola changed formation so messi would have the ball more. Zlatan didn't like this so he did the professional thing and talked to Guardiola about it. Guardiola said he would make changes to accommodate both players Zlatan was happy but Guardiola never made these changes he started benching Zlatan didn't talk to him and even refused to look at him. He also says that Guardiola told the press Ibra would miss a game because he was injured when he wasn't. Zlatan confronted him saying he wasn't injured but Guardiola just walked away after that Ibra was like fuck this and left.
He wasn't treated right, he said that they all wanted messi to be the top scorer and when ibra scored more in a season they changed the tactics and messi insisted on playing a different position which didn't help with ibra. Also not helpful that pep was always leaving him out and angry at him for asking questions! Ibras right it isn't school they are grown men!
Watch Barcelona vs real Zaragoza 2010. In that gamez zlatan missed three sitters, messi scored an amazing hatrick. Then, when messi was fouled in the box, he gave the penalty to zlatan to make him feel better. He just played shit, although that may of been Pep's fault it sure wasn't coz messi didn't want him to score more goals
Tiki Taka Toe that's one game? What about the rest? I didn't say it was all messi's fault did i? It was pep and messi clearly changing things not mostly messi though
I don't understand how you're defending Zlatan, Amy. I mean, he is a very good player, but no where near as good as he makes himself out to be. Pep had a vision. He had Thierry Henry, the guy who conquered England, the guy who became the best player ever in the Premier League, playing out-wide. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being very confident, but it doesn't help when your quality doesn't match your behaviour.
Midlaj Rahman his job is to win trophies and not to please players. Ronaldinho, deco and eto were coming to the end of their peaks and what do you expect??? he then won the treble twice including club world cup twice, no manager won more trophies in a short time.
Guardiola did the right thing. He knew messi was gifted and a once in a lifetime player so he did what was best. Made a team with no ego around and gave messi freedom to grow. People can criticise guadiola for that but it was 100 percent the right call. Barcelona under him went on to be one of the greatest teams ever and messi one of the best players of all time
I don't blame zlatan for being upset/mad. Think of it from his perspective, he has trained his entire life sacrificing friends social time ect to become a great footballer like he is now. Imagine going through all that and then a big named club buys with an incredible price tag but decides not to give you fame and play you as much. Pep was being an asshole to ibrahimovic because when zlatan confronted pep about this issue, pep said messi is their fame player and told zlatan he has no balls and should let this issue go. Then messi joined peps side and this upset zlatan. It's not barcas fault do not insult an entire club for the actions of 2 men.
Pep had more confidence in Messi than Zlatan. Is he an idiot for creating the best player ever? I would sell my family to keep Messi happy. Funny thing is, out of all the clubs in Europe, he went to a declining Milan.
this guy would be remembered as one of the best ever if he had actually played for the team before he reached 30yrs old, But he was a lazy git. one game for Barca, he ran less than Valdes did. But a super talent no doubt. "could"have been the best striker in the world for the last 15 yrs consistently.
Ibrahimovic is giving his side of the story while also being respectful towards the fact that the "Philosopher" probably has a different tale to tell. Ibra comes from the poorest part of the richest corner of the planet and was looked down on when growing up. He is "permitted" to be cocky. He didn't get a Lambo for birthday present. Now he could collect them.
i''m a huge barca fan, and i'm really sorry to know about what happen to u, no matter what i will still support u, as u know barca fans support milan and millan's support barca =]
Ibra is a great player, Pep is a great coach - it happens people don't get along. Sometimes your philosophy on football is just different. But aside from that, this interview shows Ibra is not the cocky asshole everyone says, he can be normal but I love his trolling in other interviews.
Agreed, so many people view footballers (and all top athletes) as these uncanny, emotionless machines that can simply perform week-in-week-out without the need of motivation or encouragement. It's life-affirming to get the occasional reminder that athletes are simply ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances.
I have great respect for this man. Footballers don't get much better than him.
+Dux Nihilo Yes they do I can name a hundred players who are better than him but don't get as much recognition.......
go ahead, then.
Dux Nihilo I said I could....Not I will......

No mate they definitely do. Ronaldo and Messi

Where did you buy his bio
-FootballTerrain-* Barnes And Nobles
wait, he changed the formation? why didn't ibrah like that? like why did he not like the new formation?
+Samyak Mehta because messi would be on the ball way more than him.
+Samyak Mehta cuz the formation was so that messi would have more possession of the ball
Man o man.........Ibra is a real man:- "you don't buy class....class come by itself". Hats off mate!

Class come by itself.
Wilson Gozal best line so far
Ha ha ha!! The word Zlatan was looking for was "Goosebumps". He went with "Chicken Skin". And you know what? That sounds better. Because he is Zlatan.
he translated literally a native expression, we have that as well
Same in dutch, kippenvel translates to chicken skin
Pep did the same with Eto, Deco, Ronaldinho he even had problems with messi but just couldn't get rid of Messi cz he knew Mesii was even bigger thim

u r idiot, that's all. Eto'o was at his peak, he went to inter and beat guardiola
Steve Isling shut the fuck up you idiotic fool
Mr Islington yeah but when you dont motivate players why the fuck would they play for you?
Yah but questionable trophies like his first champion in 2009. They match fixed that match against Chelsea.
Very well spoken guy.
I really admire him, great person to look up to not just on the field.
Such an inspirational guy
"Oli was the perfect man. I mean... Everytime he came it was perfect"
~ Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Zlatan doesn't need other players to play the tiki-taka way. He can do it alone with both his feet. ;)
Vinay Ahuja so where's his CL medal?? or his world cup??? or his european cup???
Steve Isling Those are just some accolades Zlatan has made-up to keep the other players happy.
Lol dumbass ^

Mourinho can't be hated ❤
I think the Chicken skin means goose bump
He was probably translating from Spanish "piel de gallina" ( goosebumps)
Margui622 He was proberly translating from Swedish were it is actually chicken skin
Zlatan is da man! Not many players like him anymore. It will be a sad day when he retires.
Took two more years, but it happened. Happy retirement to one of the greats.
You cannot buy class, class comes by itself. What a quote very great player and a strong charismatic personality.

good words,, I agree with him
I agree but I have one.
