    THANK YOU!!!!❤
I’ve been absolutely fuming because I haven’t been able to get GHS to work to my satisfaction. I’ve watched literally every video on TH-cam and came out with only more frustration.
Your video has cured this GHS disease I’ve had for months now!!!

I have watched many TH-cam videos about GHS and none of them worked for me until I came across your video. I got a bit carried away with my first try, but finally I got good results from GHS (thanks for the tip to use the script instead of the process too). Thank you very much for your very helpful video! Jim

Glad I could help I had the same issues until I looked at the image and ignored the histogram

good deal. i find going old school a lot of the time still but ghs def has advantages to those images that have a super wide dynamic range.

I am just like everyone else here, but I wanted to say big THANK YOU for the informative video. It was incredibly helpful for me in understanding GHS ;) As soon as I finished watching the video, everything suddenly clicked in my mind. :) I use Siril instead of PixInsight but the process looks very similar.

Thanks for this. Stretching the BG in particular. Couldn't quite wrap my head around how to do this step. I used it in a slightly different way. I already had an image of the Cygnus Wall stretched nicely using Histogram Stretch. So, using GAME Script I masked the nebula, then stretched the BG. Thus avoiding blowing out the Wall.

Ghs is very touchy and the biggest thing I’ve learned is there are a lot of ways to use it. It’s probably the hardest thing to try to teach ever. And nearly every object is different. Def not pull the slider to the left like a linear stretch :) keep at it!!

I guess you can get even more control using a mask with this process or using Starnet

Yep. You could start with a masked stretch and get a little going for stars and then pull the stars and keep going. It’s all up to you.
