    • @InsightsByJess
      @InsightsByJess  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! Thank you so much for watching! You would want to create 4 designs and then upload the designs to 4 products separately (one for each color) 😊 Printify doesn't yet allow us to change colors within the product itself on blankets, the base color will always be white. 🥰

  • @markcollier4216
    @markcollier4216 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Great video Jess! Because the customized blanket order process is manual, do you get tied up on your computer for hours on end processing custom orders during heavy activity such as quarter 4? I ask, because if one does not have the capacity to keep up with the manual custom orders, it could actually hurt their shop as they fall behind. This would especially apply to shop owners who still have a full time job. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi! Love the information. I am working on development and wonder how to go about offering the various colors since I can't do it in Printify. Thanks!

    • @InsightsByJess
      @InsightsByJess  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! The best way to offer colors is to create a color chart with Canva (or whatever design program you prefer), then use the Variations tool in the Etsy listing to let the customer choose the color. You would then just change the background color when you change the name/personalization for each order. 😊
      Hopefully this helps! Thank you so much for watching my video! 🥰

    I have watched your video a few times.. it was the easiest to understand. I now have my listing up on my etsy shop and i just processed an order.. yay... my question is in PRintify how do i get rid of the original order ? I have done the manual order with the correct name on it but it shows the original requires action... how do i get rid of that without it causing a problem for my manual order.

    • @InsightsByJess
      @InsightsByJess  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm so glad you found my video helpful! :) When you say the original order, are you talking about in Printify or in Etsy? If you created a manual order in Printify, there should be one (original) order in your Etsy shop dashboard, and one in Printify.
      If you have more than one order in your Printify dashboard for this particular Etsy order, I would cancel that extra order asap. THEN go make sure you don't have printify set up to automatically fulfil those orders, since they are personalized.
      I have a full step-by-step tutorial for setting up automatic Printify orders that might help explain this a bit better. You can find that video here: th-cam.com/video/O9mDJNU0dk4/w-d-xo.html
      I hope this helps! 🥰

    Thank you, the logistics of how to make personalizing work was holding me back. I still need to ask - if you get 200 orders all of a sudden (I know this is not practical for startup but say for this successful seller for instance), you personally have to sit and do all of these orders one by one? Or say if you are on vacation and a bunch of orders come in, you are "on call" for work huh? :D

      Hi! Great question! 😊 To do this you will want to create a color chart image, and then in the Etsy listing, go down to the Variations section and add a variation for the color choices. 😊

    • @InsightsByJess
      @InsightsByJess  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! Thank you so much for watching! There are a few apps that can automate the personalization, but I've found that problems can arise when customers don't input the names in a specific format (or they add notes into the box) so it's often easier just to manually personalize with a templated design. 🥰

      @InsightsByJess  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much for watching! 😊 If you're creating personalized blankets, then no, you don't need to add anything from printify to the Etsy listing. You will be creating the Printify orders manually because they will have the customer's name of choice on the design. 🥰

    Love this tutorial. If I am honest though, I feel sorry for this shop's listing quality score with so many of us going over to look at it. Their conversion rate is going to suffer now. If they have ads running, I hope no one clicks on them or that is going to cost them a lot too. Might be a good idea to blur out the shop's name going forward, just a suggestion.

    • @InsightsByJess
      @InsightsByJess  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Oh wow that's a great suggestion, thanks! It feels sneaky to blank out the names because I want to be transparent, but as this channel grows this is going to be a concern so I think you're right and I'm going to blank them out going forward! ❤️
      The good news is that Etsy has a pretty smart algorithm so it will detect the sudden jump in traffic as an anomaly and it shouldn't affect them long term. But it will give competitors a temporary advantage and potentially cost them for ad clicks, so best to blank the names out going forward.
      Thank you so much for bringing this up, different perspectives are what help things grow and improve! 🥰

    • @jayhive4884

      I thought of this too (blanking the store names) cuz it’s causing them with now thousands of people trying to copy what they’ve posted (the particular store)… when I searched for their store, it isn’t operating anymore. Must be a name change?

  • @chantelmcfarlane6138
    @chantelmcfarlane6138 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I had a quick question in regard to shipping from printify. Since you are manually inputting the order and your Etsy shop is not connected, would you have to pay out of your own pocket for the printify shipping? And then once the customer receives their product, Etsy releases the money and you would essentially be paid back and receive the extra money you made from the sale? I’m a little confused on that part.

    • @InsightsByJess
      @InsightsByJess  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! That's a great question! Typically when you sell on printify, you have to pay for the orders. It doesn't come from your Etsy account, even if you have the two platforms connected. Once your deposit comes through from Etsy, you are reimbursed for the cost of the order + the profit. 😊

    What if you just want to put one of your pictures on the blanket with zero words that the picture I have created I’m at the photographer

      Yes, you can upload pictures either into the Canva design or directly to Printify when you create the product. The higher quality the photo is, the better it will look when printed, but photos can often look beautiful on blankets. 🥰

    My Canva Pro say's it doesn't allow that big of dimensions I'm confused!

      Hi! I think when they rolled out the latest ai features they put a limit on file sizes. 🥴 One way to work around this, if you have Canva pro, is to enlarge the file size when you download it, it's in the options after you click SHARE, then DOWNLOAD, then slide the toggle under size to make it bigger. 😊
      Other viewers just used 3125 x 3734 and it worked great for them. Hopefully this helps! 🥰

    Why would you not add the custom name in Printify’s text editor and then use the pattern maker to make a staggered repeat? It seems like it would be less time consuming to edit the design for each new order.

      Hi! I didn't see any sort of pattern maker on Printify, can you tell me where to find this? It sounds like a great option! 🤩 Thank you so much!

    • @ToniWall
      @ToniWall 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I just tested it and it has to be a png graphic. I typed the name in Canva and downloaded it as a png with no background. Then I uploaded it to my library and inserted the graphic to my chosen blanket in products. This gave me lots of options to edit the graphic. On the far left toward the bottom you will see the pattern maker. You can adjust the sliders for various repeats. 😊

    I use Canva Pro. It won't let me put in those dimensions. I used the largest size that it will allow, then when uploading to Printify, I get the alert that "something went wrong" no matter how small I make it. Any one else have this problem? I didn't make the PNG version transparent, since I'm putting a color in the background. Not sure how you managed to create a design that size in your tutorial.

      Hi! I think that Canva has put the larger dimensions behind their premium features paywall 😔
      You can just reduce the dimensions, and since you have premium Canva, when you go to download the design, use the little size slider (there's a crown by it, it's slightly above the download button after you choose the file type) to make the image bigger. 😊
      Please let me know if that doesn't work! 🥰

    Hello, I just started the design on Canva, but however, Canva does not allow that big of a dimension of 7828x9325? What dimension did you actually used?

      Hi! 🥰 Do you have the free or pro version of Canva?
      If you have the free version, you can just use the biggest dimensions and download as a PNG. Just make sure that when you add the design to Printify, it tells you that the image quality is good. 🥰
      If you have a pro version, you can use the little size bar (on the download screen) to slide the dimensions bigger. 😊
      Hope this helps! Thank you so much for watching! 🥰

    I’m sorry but this is kinda confusing to me how will I get an order if I don’t publish it on Etsy as a listing and just save it as a draft on printify???

    • @InsightsByJess
      @InsightsByJess  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! You want to publish the Etsy listing, that way you can get orders. The Printify listing (in the Printify dashboard) can be a draft, or you can set it to manually process orders, since they are personalized. 😊
      I hope this makes more sense! 🥰

    Too bad Shopify, Etsy, and Printify cannot be used from the island of Curacao. The companies that handle the credit card payments and/or PayPal accounts do not recognize these areas and give no service there. I feel extremely sad and hurt

      Oh no, I'm so sorry! That is very disappointing. I know Etsy recently stated that they're working to expand their selling platforms to more countries, so hopefully you'll be on the list soon! 🤞

      Hi! Thanks so much for watching! 😊 What data are you asking about?
      Do you mean the customer orders? If so, then when you start getting orders, you'll see them listed in your Etsy seller dashboard.
      You can go down your list of customer orders and see the name and color choices on each order in the list.
      Hopefully this helps! 🥰
