I still have my 83 200X , My favorite times was riding right after a hard rain flinging mud every where and going through a bunch of deep puddles, after about an hour riding back home all wet and covered in mud, then drinking a few beers while washing off myself and the bike. Great Days.
I had one of these the same year. It was my first bike I learned how to ride on. But I totally rebuilt it, I bored it out had, supertrap exhaust, ITP holeshot tires on the back and rental bars with twist throttle. But shortly after I had that I discovered dirt bikes and that's where I've been ever since. Thanks for bringing back that memory.
Now you guys I owned one of the 200x back in late 80s....I've a tear in my at this one. loved it....beaches moorlands here in northern england so much fun...brill
Yup.., knew you boys would like this one.. It's bone stock original, FIRST year of the hallowed 200x.. And - Kenny didn't let me down - he cranked a few wheelies.. Long Live Vintage... 🏁🇺🇸🏁
Still got my ‘85 200x. Sorta. It’s an Auto-X now. I blew the motor in it so I swapped in one from a 200s. Bolts right in, as do all the Honda ATC 185/200 motors, and power difference isn’t even noticeable as long as you have everything dialed. Nice having the semi auto clutch too.
👍👍 Damnnn, nice! Had 83 and 84 200x's I rode the hell outta. Also an 86 250r. Always a MC guy, but my ATCs were always great times on everything from shredding snow to Glamis dunes.
How many of you that had 3 wheelers in the 80's and hurt yourself? They claimed they were too dangerous.......but many of you rode them and lived to tell about.
Ken i bought this same yr 200x in 1984. I sold two steers to buy it in 1984. It was one of my favorite ATCs ive owned. Way better than the tri motos n kawi klt.
you never see them with original tires and rims there always dry rotted i have an 86 and its great was a barn find from williamsport pa excellent 3 wheeler
SR. you gotta check our 1986 200x, just made a video on it screaming through the gears. My uncle bought in new in 86 and it's an absolute machine. Take care and we appreciate the content
I scored a rolling '83 chassis 200x, traded some 400ex fenders for it . Then I came across a '98 kdx220 2T for $250 so I took the engine from it and installed it into the 200x frame. It is a bast to ride :)
That is one badass 3-wheeler man I wish I had one it's crazy to think that I was born when that four-wheeler was built. Keep up the good work man peace.
Growing up I drove a Honda 200m every weekened , it was more of a workhorse but was so much fun, I wish the made ATVS with the huge ballon tires like back in the day.
Yeeeaaahhh buddy!! My mom had an 86', her first rule when she bought it was that me & my brother had to stay off it. That lasted oohhh about a week. Riding Moms' 200x led me to get an 87' 250R Fourtrax, she was a real shit'r & a git'r I tell ya. A real sweet peach. Still had the rubber hairs on the stock Bridgestones ☝
Aqui no brasil no começo dos anos 90 tinha esse kit para a dt 180 igual a esse ñ muda nd , hj ñ se ve mais 😥 tem um cara vendendo um e quer muito dinheiro
They did a complete redesign for the 1986 model year of the 200 X. 83,84, and 85 were basically the same machine. 86 went to the box section steel frame with better suspension. And no mud flaps.

I had an '87... shoulda never sold it... guy I sold it to send me pics the very next day. he rolled it on the pavement and totally destroyed all the fenders, tank and headlight
The 200x is a legend.
The 1986 version is the best. I got one for Christmas in 1986. My dad was awesome, god rest his soul.
Sounds like a great dad man ! My dad brought one home too, but not for Christmas. We had a Yamaha tri 125 2stroke already and the 200x smoked it !
Sounds like he was! Glad you weren't one of the riders that caused them to stop making these.
Just got ours started back up for the first time in 25 years. Was amazed at how little work we had to do to it.

My cousin Rob had one of these and I had a 250r, we lived on those trikes, I wish it was 1983 again.

Best trike made ! I raced them in the 80s. I've had every trike Honda made in the 80s this is my favorite even over the 350x
The first year 1983 200x that's a nice survivor all oem she's a beauty.

Very sweet Honda. I have always wanted a three wheeler. I've never rode one. They look like a blast. Especially this one👍

Miss my 1986 250 r...I know a dude who has a mint condition 200x
We all live in a red submarine. Keep it guys don't sell it. Turn it into a Kaplan America trike. That way he can rescue people off road. LOL.
For 4-strokes, nothing beats the 350X in the looks department !!
The 86 atc 200x was beautiful
@@ronaldtartaglia4459 And for me, the only beautiful's were the: 85-86 YamahaTri-Z, the 85-86 Honda 250R, and the 85-86Honda 350X.
Ohh that thing is beautiful,
Right outta the box- dangerous for amateur like myself lol
what year did they stop putting on the mud flaps on the rear fenders? miss my old X lol
They did a complete redesign for the 1986 model year of the 200 X. 83,84, and 85 were basically the same machine. 86 went to the box section steel frame with better suspension. And no mud flaps.
