Oh yea those type of out of control flats you typically find mainly in Europe I wish more fairs and amusement parks in the US had them... Lucky Carowinds will be home to a top scan in 2017
The spin out actually got rid of my nausea. One of the few rides I can get on without feeling awful for an hour

I only live a mile from the Florida Strawberry Festival grounds, and I usually just walk to it. In 1984, they had the most awesome ride ever, called the 1001 Nacht. It was made by a company called Weber from Germany. It was the original 1001 Nacht ride, and nothing like the newer, smaller 1001 Nacht rides that you see today, which is much smaller and inferior to the old original 1001 Nacht ride. Unfortunately, the ride was only ever there at the Strawberry Festival that one year in 1984, never to be seen again. Another equally exciting ride that was there, but for many years, was a ride called the Rainbow Ride. It was also beautiful and fun to ride. Yet, another great ride was the Enterprise ride. Other great rides that were once there was the Himalaya and Super Himalaya rides, and the Falling Star ride. Oh, and the Gravitron was fun. They even had a ride called the Bayern Curve that was okay. It had a nice Olympic theme to it. I almost forgot to mention a ride called Hang Ten, which was great. The Strawberry Festivals' rides were by far a lot better back then with those mentioned rides, all throughout the 1980's. A lot of great memories then when I was between the ages of 7 to 16 years old (1978 to 1987). I also got to see Johnny Cash, Alabama, and a lot of other country legends back then, while I was there. The Plant City Florida Strawberry Festival will never be quite the same, mainly because the rides now aren't nearly as good or fun as they were back then. I must admit though, that the lights on the rides now are much better looking and look much more vivid and brighter than on the older rides. These newer rides all have LED lighting versus the old style incandescent filament bulbs. Wow, how times have changed. Sadly, I'm 49 years old now, so I guess I'm old.
That disc ride where everyone sits in a circle is almost like Starship 3000 except it's not enclosed.

you never seen magnum its one of my all time fav flats..... that thing is like the scrambler on crack.. if u get thing rocking be prepared for a wild ride...and the `1st ride you showed is the oribter .. which honestly you dont get sick at all.. its really smoooth ride...power surge is also one of my all time faves LOVE THAT RIDE. fun factory NOW THAT thing is SICK!!!! i have never spun so much in my life.. def a puker...i so want my park to get it....spin out!!!! loveeeeeee.....man this fair has ALL the goodies...
My two favorite rides are the Enterprise ride, and the original 1001 Nacht ride made by Weber, but you will no longer ever see these rides here at this fair. They are very rare to find anywhere now.
the SkyWheel aka Double Ferris Wheel is the most beautiful ride ever invented. Not many left in the country and our state fair in Columbia SC never has one. At one time it was the best ride at the fair and a couple of years they had two of them side by side. Beautiful at night. The SC state fair has some dinky carnival now that does not have one. What a piece of history lost.
The Sky Wheel was an iconic ride at Fairs, State Fairs and permanate Amusement Parks in the 60’s thru the late 90’s. Sadly there are less than 10 still operating in the world today. I remember riding one at Playland at the Beach in San Francisco in the late 1960’s, but the Amusement Park was demolished for condos in 1972
@@bartonpercival2147 I believe the reason this ride was phased out is it did not ride enough people at one time and exchange riders fast enough to make the money the carnivals needed or wanted to make. It only holds 32 people full. But exchange takes a lot of time. as most of the rides today can exchange 40 in 30 seconds. Just my opinion. As for the cost of the SkyWheel, they could make one again cheaper than most of those huge hydraulic rides cost

The rides are the same but when it comes to the lights, artwork, music, Germany wins.
SpeakYourNames, you are exactly correct. Germany's rides look superior to anyone else's. Hartmann's of Germany has a lot of beautiful lighted rides, and with smoke/fog effects that look spectacular with the lights shinning on the smoke/fog.

If you ever played THRILLVILLE as a kid you should know they have the same rides but it's so amazing

0:52 it's a mondial "shake r5" (opperated bad, they can go allot faster). By the way, why are there fances around all the rides? Here in the netherlands there are no fances on the same kind of ride

The huricane is a kmg "fun factory" it traveld in the netherlands before under the name fun factory. And for this one again, bad opperator.
the spin a tron is not a spin out but a kmg "move-it 24" (the middel model, there are 18 and 32 versions as wel(only one 32)

techno power isnt sickening at all! super fun you get pulled into your seat its very fun because of how fast it spins

The Sky Wheel, Moon Raker and the Zipper is the only ones I've ever heard of and have rode. These three rides are very old, but really fun. I guess I'm old and old fashioned. Don't get me wrong, even though I'm age 49, I would still gladly ride any of the newest rides anywhere, if I ever got around to it. Time and money is tight.
Hey guys I live in Florida and I love the fairs but you guys should try the Miami Dade County Fair it's the 2 biggest fair it runs through March 23-April something in my opinion it's the best fair and if you go I'll warn you it's so LIT

It used to be the Blue Grass Shows, but that was a very long time ago (1970's and 1980's). I'm not sure what company runs the midway nowadays.

I’ve been on techno power (well extreme but it looks exactly the same just different name) and freak out (again, different name, same model)
$500 in 6 hours ... and.............it's gone!!! That's where I'd be as far as money. Also anything deep fried is good.
