In this video, Lucas went out to the biggest city in southern Italy, Naples, to interview Italians and ask them if they can speak English.
What is the percentage of people in your country who can speak English? And out of ten, how many would be able to participate in an interview like this one?

Honestly Italian language is sexier than french language
I work in Japan and sometimes I use English and everytime I open my mouth foreigners customers are like “are you Italian” 🤣I want to say no I’m Japanese ahah I don’t like my strong accent xD
I am Italian, the older generations do not speak English at all, with some exceptions. The younger generations studied English at school, somebkdy speaks better but in general you cannot compare our average level in English with the level one finds in Northen Europe.
In Naples I found many people who spoke Spanish very very well. 😮 this language is very popular in that city. Maybe because of Maradona? 😁
Do you guys generally watch TH-cam videos in English? What percent?
I do. 😄
Is it possible to type in English without knowing how to speak it?
That guy is an english teacher? Damn 😂
That one dude lived in LA for 9 years, of course he also learned Spanish lol 😅
You are amazing. Seriously impressive.
Looove their accents omg
voce como br me da orgulho, meu ingles ja ta okay, estou partindo pro frances agora. tem alguma dica? haha
In small, rural areas in America, it is also difficult to find people who speak proper English. They speak something similar to English, but it seems only the other locals really understand it. 🤣🤣
😂 essa menina ❤
me encanta este tipo de videoo
you need to work on not cutting people off when they're answering your questions.
Curto vcs languageboost! Top!
Sou brasileiro! Morro de vontade de fazer fazer o jumpstart french de vcs mas a compra é somente em dollar. Não tenho cartão internacional e a conversão pro real fica bem caro.
Poderiam fazer uma promo pra nós brazucas EIN Lucas e Fabrício!
Vlwwww!! Likeeee
The answer is NO. Only in tourist places and among the young you'll find some italians able to maintain a decent conversation in english. In small, rural areas, forget it. Italy is probably one the worst places in Europe to communicate in english, nor even in France it's so bad.
in all rural Europe you will struggle to find someone able to maintain a conversation in english. Trust me I lived in rural Germany and they are usually really good but not so good in small towns.
Entrei no site de voces para ver os idiomas e não tem o ingles. Que pena.
Can anyone tell me why Italians speak Spanish with an Anglo Saxon accent ??!!
They don't, at all. Look for interviews in Spanish of Laura Pausini, Carlo Ancelotti, Christian Panucci...
@@zaqwsx23 you can tell that Spanish isn’t their first language
@@lizsalazar7931 That's because they are Italians and speak Spanish with an Italian accent, not with an English one.
@@zaqwsx23 it seems like an English accent
@@lizsalazar7931 English accent means: vowel reductions on atonic syllables (Italian is instead a syllable-timed language) and typical English pronunciation of the letters R, T and D (in Italian they are pronounced like in Spanish).
