I am amazed. I thought it was impressive how you molded and shaped the image instead of using a hammer. It seemed to be the Tai Chi of leather craft. The zen quality of this works is hypnotizing. I will definitely be trying these techniques in some of my own work.
@@Andy-in8ej he doesn’t use a mallet for the majority of the video. You can clearly see he’s just pressing down the leather for most of the details in the mask

Craftsmanship of the masters. When I put on ma leather I made, and rock to sum Metallica, Delta Parole, Foo Fighters or the Smashing Pumpkins I feel like I can do anything in the whole wide world.

Hello! The leather is vegetable tanned and I bought it from a trader in Bulgaria. Have you tried to moisturize the skin more so that you can work with it more easily?
@@Kanatitza I've tried adjusting the water content in the leather a lot, but it doesn't seem to help. My modeling spoons always seem to either 'scratch' it or resist being sculpted as easily as yours

@@PHILSON13 There are softer and firmer leather. Sometimes, when I work with harder leather, it is difficult for me to work without a hammer and I have to press very hard.
This work looks amazing, but the fact that the video it always sped up spoils the video. I’d recommend slowing to real-time for at least a small part of the use of each tool. It’s just a blur.
I probably have no hope of being this good, but watching this man work is like a master class.

I make the skin soft by moisturizing it. It is important not to get too wet. I don't push too hard
