Enjoyable dialog for both Impy № 17 M-B 220SE (W111) collectors, and fans of the full scale models. Wow you even got the release date of the W108 right - 1965 (September I think), but I have never actually seen a 1965 W108 250S. I own a 1966 250S. Also, the metallic purple Flyers are tough to find - especially in good condition. You did your homework!
Thank you for the comment! It is much appreciated as there is a lot of time and effort spent on both the restorations as well as the video production including the research
The model looks great Jason! I think it was a good idea to add chrome to the grill, bumpers and door handles as it really adds a lot to the finished model. Thanks for sharing this.
Very good Builders always there Jason keep up the good work I always enjoy your builds and learning about what the cars were made back in there back in that time you have a good day and God bless
another nice and proper resto. :) or maybe, resto plus. the interesting thing with the 220SE is that the "E" indicates a mechanic fuel injection., the same that was used on the SL engines. also, it shared the same body with the 190 Heckflosse, but had a longer front to allow for a straight six engine, making the 190 a very generous little sedan... there are not many lone-star models on the german market, often they are either layed but complete, or completely wrecked. I gotta take a closer look again at my favourite downtown used-toys shop, they used to have a few pieces of the lone star N-gauge railway tucked away somewhere. might be fun to generate a diorama with those...
Awesome restoration! rare to see diecast restorers still posting on youtube, all others seem to have quit without announcing :/. But i'm glad I found you! subbed
Nice restoration, details and paint job 👍👍
