Pro tip: After finishing doing 8's, you can wrap that extra cord around the 8's while still around your thumb and index fingers. This also makes the outcome much nicer

Earbuds usually get ruined by crimping wire. Following this method doesn’t crimp anywhere. Be careful at end how you finish wrapping. I used to force end into wrap and inadvertently cause break :/ I stopped after figuring out why I have so many failed buds

Some rubbers don't respond well, but you might trying letting the wire unravel and let it regain straight from you hand. You know in step one when you leave a bit of wire? Well for yours leave a longer tail at the beginning so in step 4 you have more wire to wrap around the eight. This should help :)

Let me tell you my experience I got earbuds where you put on little figures on it so it looks like they are dangling or climbing the earbuds.when I did this I detached before I did it. Luckily there was enough room near the part to plug it in for the two for the tiny figures. So when I am using them or after, I can just slide them up or down without the buds getting tangled! This helped a lot I thank you very much!
