If you've been slouching for long enough, reminding yourself to sraighten up won't help. At that point you have to do certain exercises to regain your torso mobility/motor control. When I sit, I'm not looking for a feeling of sitting straight, but of expanding my ribcage. I think the best exercise to train that is to raise your arms, without raising your shoulders, and without arching your back.
If you are in your early 30s, and you've had bad posture, is it too late to fix, or has the damage already been done? I know that after working 5-6 hours at my desk job I get really bad upper back and shoulder pain
It's never too late Matt! The damage might be done, but it's always reversible (unless you suffer from some rare bone diseases). Please check out my 5 Minute Neck Routine: th-cam.com/video/bQr8FCgZ16M/w-d-xo.html - It might help you a lot!!!
Hope this helps some of you out there! Slouching is allowed, but correct yourself regularily and results will come! :-)

There are great mobility exercises for the upper back. I plan on uploading a small mobility routine for that exact cause as my next video!

I have anterior pelvic tilt and I can’t stand straight with good posture. Any tips? Would really appreciate it!
