    Energy recovery skill on berry collectors is very good too, it keeps berry production up throughout the day and over the course of the day may even net more than charge strength at high levels. Could be an endgame skill

    Love the video!! Thank you!! I feel a little better about the energy for everyone skill as on reddit they discovered that helping speed x energy level equals the frequency of material gathering. They were saying that at 100 energy, Pokemon gather at an approx. 50% faster rate and that rate goes down as energy drops down.

    • @CaylasCapsule
      @CaylasCapsule  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I’m going to do some calculations around this to see how impactful it is. Do you know if it declines at a consistent rate? So like at 50 energy, is it 25% faster?

    I honestly did not expect to enjoy this game so much, but I've been hooked! Every Pokémon game I play, I always play with a Dark type team. I'm happy there are exactly 5 Dark type Pokémon in this game, so at least I can make a full team. But that does limit me to only Wiki berries! 😓

    I am one of the energy skill users lol. Really testing it out the last couple weeks anyways, My understanding is the more energy a pokemon has will give it a multiplier to it's speed of help (lotsa rumors out there). I have noticed my team being more consistent throughout the day, but whether that's worth the swap... I'm still unsure of.

    • @supermarion1
      @supermarion1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have a wigglytuff lvl 5 main skill and it really helps a lot with the berry gathering

    • @Syphara
      @Syphara ปีที่แล้ว

      @supermarion1 Ooo lvl 5 nice! I have Wigglytuff lvl 2 and Sylveon lvl 1 (got super lucky catching it). I wanna see if it's possible to keep my pokemon with max energy when I level those up. Lvl 6 is 18 energy and you can have excess energy now so it's not a waste. I absolutely think energy is highly undervalued

    • @joetyrant4713
      @joetyrant4713 ปีที่แล้ว

      At our low levels it's probably not super worth it. But say a lvl 50 berry specialist gets 30-40 extra berries a day from recharging energy. At lvl 50 it's 104/berry not including island research boosts. That would yield at minimum 3-4000 strength a day. If you factor in island boosts, I can see each berry netting 200 pts. It's definitely better as an endgame skill because charge strength stays as a flat number and never grows.

    • @Syphara
      @Syphara ปีที่แล้ว

      @joetyrant4713 Honestly, I think the impact will be way more than that. Let's just say max energy is them working at 100% efficiency and halfway through the day (those without energy pokemon) will only be working at 50% or less. So if you're able to keep your energy up your pokemon will be working twice as fast (at least) as those who did not. Obviously, having a lvl 1 or 2 skill isn't going to have that kind of impact, but it still makes a noticeable difference

    • @joetyrant4713
      @joetyrant4713 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Syphara It would be way more if it's a preferred berry too. I went with an oran berry for the previous numbers. My Dodrio activated his skill twice today and it's sitting at a healthy 50-60% while everyone else is around 25-30% last time I checked. That's a lvl 1 main skill too. at skill lvl 6 I can imagine it can get pretty crazy, maybe won't even need to sleep on a lucky day

  • @icedcoffeegrigus
    @icedcoffeegrigus ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Great video! From what I have read, energy actually affects help frequency by up to 2x the base at 100 Energy. The frequency listed on the Pokemons stat sheet is the frequency if that pokemon is at 0 energy. So energy actually affects help frequency a decent amount. The same pokemon at 80 energy is going to gather quite a bit faster than at 20. I'm not sure if you knew this but I thought Energy skills were useless as well like in the video you mentioned that if your pokemon are low energy, youll just sleep lol. But if this is true, then energy skills should actually be pretty decent and scale well. I hope I explained in a way someone can understand lol but anyways keep up the good work! 🙂

    • @CaylasCapsule
      @CaylasCapsule  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks for explaining! I recently discovered that Pokemon can get more than 100% energy. This does make energy skills slightly less bad as they will always do something. I'm definitely going to look into energy skills more.
      However, I still think they're low tier skills as sleeping is a free way to get energy. Plus by sleeping, you can get more of other resources as well. But energy skills may not be as bad as I initially thought.

  • @abrarkadabrar7829

    Honestly this is such a great help with how you explain your choices. You've been my go-to when looking for Pokémon Sleep advice. Just realised wasn't subbed so now subbed! 😁
    Edit: Cooking Power up S is a decent replacement for a pot upgrade especially if you do get enough ingredients. Believe it or not, I actually got up to 87/100 ingredients with Ingredient Finder abilities from Wartortles and they stacked up on top of ingredients I normally picked up. So the Cooking Power Up ability helps to get rid of ingredients faster and make more space, and hey maybe you'll unlock one of the dishes that need up to 30 or 40 total ingredients. Hopefully that makes sense. 😁

    • @CaylasCapsule
      @CaylasCapsule  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Aww thank you! :) I personally think it's a better long-term solution to invest in powering up your cooking pot. Certain achievements give A LOT of dream shards. When you get those achievements, it's usually a great time to upgrade your cooking pot.

    In response to the comment at 4:30
    I've heard multiple people say that as the energy % drops, so does the productivity. So full energy is always better than 33% energy and such
    So energy retainers/gainers that keep themselves higher energy will perform more efficiently all day, compared to others who will naturally fall off as they get sleepy.
    So this being really good for Pokémon with fast gather time or favourited berries/ingredients. Because they'll out perform others as their energy drops gathering a lot more.
    Not everyone can just sleep at any time, given life schedules, and that you can only get 100% recovered per day, anything over that isn't counted.
    I will say this is hearsay from multiple people, but it seems valid from my own experience
    I always get more gatherable through the day and barely any at night before sleep when the % drops
    (But this could be a perceived pattern that isn't there, or confirmation bias. I don't know the exact coding,)

      I’m looking into the energy skills. I think the only one that will likely be valuable is energy for everyone, but I’ll hopefully have the full math soon.

    Cayla, this is such a great video!! I can see that you did a lot of work! Super helpful to build my team(s). I still don’t really understand Extra Helpful. Does it mean that the pokemon who has the ability gets more ingredients or berries?

    • @CaylasCapsule
      @CaylasCapsule  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks! :) It means that 1 Pokemon on your team gets more ingredients/berries instantly. So for example, if you're farming milk and you trigger Squirtle via Growlithe's Extra Helpful, you'll get a bunch of milk and berries from Squirtle.

    I think one thing you missed… sub skills! I find this absolutely vital in choosing the right Pokémon to power up! I’m working on some early game early gold/silvers but I’ve kept some late game bloomers as well. Complimentary natures and skills can make a super powered version of a mon that could bring it into the mix. MEGA Complicated! Even for a data analyst haha 😂

    • @CaylasCapsule
      @CaylasCapsule  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Sub skills make it A LOT more complicated, haha! But the good thing is that sub skills are not Pokemon-dependent, so if you have two different Pokemon with relatively equal sub skills, this tier list can at least give you somewhere to start for which to power up.
      For example, my Cyndaquil doesn't have good sub skills. But making this tier list helped me figure out that I need to keep befriending Cyndaquils until I find a good one because it's worth it.

    • @Haysere
      @Haysere ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@CaylasCapsule oh 100%! I guess it’s a bit like a Pokémon with a held item kinda vibe without the ability to pick it. I’ve had a few squirtle (sorry) but always felt they just were a complicated mess of different skills haha 😂 i am 100% on the same page with the tier list. I wonder if someone who loves stats could work out how much sub skills could affect a Pokémon. I only think it’s a “I love diglett can I use it” scenario rather than “can diglett be BETTER than raichu” 🤔

    Snowdrop for sure walrein and altaria. Also I think taking out espeon for a Ampharos is way better. Not only does it drop fiery herb, it also is a 3 stage evolution which saves you 1 skill seed and gets more inventory. Berry value is pretty much the same

  • @RandoSando.
    @RandoSando. ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I think you need to bring a walrein and houndoom to the tundra. Houndoom specializes in berries and also provides energy to the snorlax. Walking also provides a good amount of berries and has the ingredient magnet ability. I also think some energy recovery skills are useful depending on the situation. The more energy a pokemon has, the more berries it will provide, so having a wiggly tuff on the team isn't to bad. Plus, my doduo provides a crazy amount of berries because its skill keeps going off.

  • @geedii_3703
    @geedii_3703 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think Wigglytuff should be right up there in S tier. It's ability, if you evolved it from the first stage, will provide 9 energy to your team every time the skill activates. Assuming it actives at least twice a day, that's 18 more energy your team will have by the end of the day. Super important.

    • @CaylasCapsule
      @CaylasCapsule  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In my video after this about energy and eeveelutions, I talk about how I definitely misplaced Wigglytuff and Sylveon. I'm raising up a Wigglytuff right now to see exactly how high I should place it. I think it might be a situation where it's easy to power up, making it seem like it's better than it actually is. But it's definitely wayyyyyy better than I originally thought!

    Focus on berries, get a good amount of ingredients, get a Mareep or 2
    Ideal skills and natures:
    Berries: Berry Finding S, Helping Bonus, Speed of Help M + S, Skill Trigger
    Ingredients: Helping Bonus, Speed of Help M + S, Ingredient Finding M + S/ Inventory Up M
    Skills: Helping Bonus, Skill Trigger M + S, Speed of Help M + S
    Berry: Speed of Help+ EXP Gain-/ Ingredient Finding-
    Ingredients: Speed of Help+ EXP Gain- or Ingredient Finding+ EXP Gain-
    Skills: Main Skill Chance+ EXP Gain-/ Ingredient Finding-/ Energy Recovery-
    The first 3 skills are the most important, so dont need perfect 5.
    Inventory on berries isnt great because berries overflow.
    Inventory on ingredients is not necessary if youre pokemon is a 3 stage pokemon because of evolution giving a lot of extra inventory not to mention if you open the app every few hours you should be fine. During sleep you might lose a few hours.
    Skill level up on Skill specialists isn’t necessary because of skill seeds.
    If you get a pokemon with ideal skills dont throw it out, we may get nature mints in the game which could change a pokemon’s nature

    I’m really surprised to see that you have put Ditto so low. What was your reasoning for that? It’s pretty fast has a good main skill is is the fastest collector of the most valuable ingredient slowpoke tails. I could see it being a later game pick due to many of it best benefits being higher level but when comparing pokemon to fully evolved pokemon like gengar and typholsion also late game as well I fell you might have over looked it’s benefits. Also side note a hidden benefit that I think probably raises ingredient magnet to the higher tier of skills is that when your Pokémon’s skill triggers you get ingredients from your list of ever found ingredients not just the ones on your team useful for get those slopoke tails a bit more consistently once you’ve gotten one in the first place.
