I had a set very similar like this but no woodgrain. Love the pop of woodgrain. I painted my set with black matt paint n used a teal color stencil on the kick boards. My kick boards slanted outwards so it very visible. Loved it but later upgraded. I also had a very hvy mirror which I kept. Nice job but I agree the blue is too bright. 😊
I love the teal color with the wood grain..beachy vibes! For that reason, I personally would've gone with white hardware & would've wanted the legs to show more. Still gorgeous pieces!
I mix paint the same way, yes, the wood grain on the drawers is exceptional. The color isn’t too serious, which I like, and suspect their daughter will enjoy. Watching you use these power tools brings me joy. My family assigned outdoor jobs and indoor with boy or girl in mind. Glad that times have changed and freedom to learn whatever you want.

I bought what had once been a VERY nice (and very expensive) dresser at a thrift store. It would have sold for much more than the $20 I paid for it if someone hadn't allowed their cigarettes to burn holes through the veneer and into what I believe is solid oak.
Solid.
Oak.
Why did no one warn me that the abuse of once-lovely furniture can break your heart?
Anyway, that poor dresser has become my first flip and I'm in the process of restoring it to "worthy of appreciation" status with the help of Lauren's videos. No dump for YOU, my (soon to be) pretty!

I love this mid century modern set! The blue pairs perfectly with the black handles for a 1950’s-1960’s vibe. The diamond shaped wood grain is the artwork of the furniture. Another job well done!
I love the way you did these legs, however I would put two 2" x 4" screwed together and then the legs on top so you could see a little more of the legs. I love following you and have learned so much from you so keep up the good work and congrats on your new store.

Those drawers were gorgeous and I loved the paint color. If you had painted the knobs and pulls gold they would have gotten lost but the black just pops against the wood. Fantastic job. Thanks for sharing.

The woodgrain is amazingly pretty and since it is for a little girl, I think she will love the blue. For an adult, I probably would have done that pretty gray you do on so much of the furniture that is so rich looking. Lauren, you do such nice work and I wish you could do over some of my furniture. My little apt. if filled with used furniture and nothing matches, but each piece is different and special in its own way. It just needs some love.

That is so funny! That is exactly what I did recently.
I don't flip them to sell but just refreshing our furniture in the house here. Between my husband and myself we have 4 dressers, but they were all different woods. Painting them to match and swapped out hardware really tied everything together but 1 dresser had beautiful wood, so I kept the top and drawer fronts. And also a light smokey blue/gray/teal color.

I too am pleased you kept the woodgrain, it makes the pieces a standout pair, for sure. I too, am not fond of the color, and I question using black hardware, mainly because you kept the brass accents on the pillars. Also, brass is really coming back into style. Also because I just really like brass! 😉
