Season 4 Jaden is the best Jaden Going from a carefree young boy who loves dueling than he has to duel for his life and loses the sight of why he loves dueling Then Yugi come back and shows him how fun dueling is
Jaden never fusioned with Yubel in the manga. Yubel doesn't even exist in the manga (sadly). So it would be inappropriate for him to have lines for Masked Heroes. Those lines correspond to regular Jaden, and he has some lines, at least with Mask Change.
My main for this game and the whole reason I downloaded Duel Links a few years ago. I wish he had lines of his cards from the manga like his younger counterpart and the Supreme King but I'm just glad he's here especially in the dub since season 4 was never dubbed in the US. To hear Matthew do an older take for Jaden is a treat as for the japanese KEEN is doing a fantastic job as always voicing him. 😁
Yeahhhh I don't know why they got cold feet considering they made OG Judai/Jaden a fusion of the manga version and the anime version but they made this version more based off the anime now I didn't read the manga so did he fuse with Yubel?
It's funnier in Yugi, because in Bonds Beyond Time movie he was impressed by Yusei's synchro summoning, but here he can do Synchro, XYZ and Pendulum summoning. xD
If there's a dragon monster that looks like yubel with a tail,it's name is treated as yubel and has the same effect as yubel 's anime effect which is that it can inflict battle damage to the opponent and cannot be destroyed
I actually had a similar idea : Neo-Spacian Pal Fiend Lv4 Dark-Fiend 0ATK/DEF This card on the field and in the GY is treated as ''Yubel''. This monster cannot be destroyed by battle. Once per turn, if this monster battles, except a LV7 or higher Light Normal Monster, inflict damage to your opponent and regain life points equal to half its ATK.
I like how these voicelines go out of their way to not reveal who won the jaden vs yugi duel. Jaden's victory line is taken from right before he attacks with neos. His defeat line is taken from the end of the wpisode when he recalls the duel.

Eh. I think he sounds older because he's playing the more "mature" version of the character, or whatever. His reprisal as regular Jaden two years prior pretty much sounded like he did in GX S1 - 3, I feel.
I wish they had given him more lines for some of the other new heroes like liquid and solid soldier and some of the old fusions like absolute zero and gran tornado

Even though he sounds more bored compared to regular Jaden, which could be the point in all fairness, he’s at least trying his best despite the fact that the dub has nothing for Jaden/Yubel to go off of since season 4’s dub never saw the light of day or ever will.

Makes more sense to record more voice lines that they need to use the first time around just in case they change their minds later in development, that's also why future summoning methods are also there. Otherwise they'd have to rent a recording booth again everytime they want to add a skill/summoning method.
I truly wish gx dub got that season 4. At least we have this and events with characters new written lines (not voiced) and new official art 🥲. But I love the sub and dub.
