I am always for clean bulking. I had 300lbs and in 2024 I started to change my life. I started with making 5k steps per day, swap sweets with fruits, increased daily water intake to 14 glasses. I ordered meal plan from website OnlyMeal, and exercised 4 times per week at the gym. Now, I have 230lbs, and I cannot explain how am I feeling right now, I am full of life again and I am excited to see myself in the mirror on 200lbs.
I remember talking about clean vs dirty bulking with a guy once, and dirty bulker's seem to just not give a rats ass about actual health. I even used gasoline as an analogy: I asked him if theoretically 500 calories of gasoline and 500 calories of a homemade chicken wrap would yield the same benefits and this dude said yes because of calories in calories out. Now obviously if you drank the 500 calories worth of gasoline, you'd be freaking dead! This dude not want to acknowledge that lol. Dirty Bulker's are brain dead

However, in the long term, a dirty bulk could negatively impact energy levels, sleep quality, and overall health. These factors would eventually hinder progress, making a clean bulk the better option over time.
The problem with the dirty bulk is that it exposes you to things highly processed sugars and trans fats, processed oils like vegetable oil and soybean oil, and high fructose corn syrup. People don’t talk about it much but it’s very hard on the liver. NAFLD ( Non alcoholic fatty liver disease ) is becoming more and more common. Building muscle is great, but protecting your health so you can live and enjoy your life is also important. Everything in moderation.
@@ciintu For context, I am a registered diagnostic medical sonographer. Unfortunately just about every patient I see over the age of 50 has a fatty liver. I won’t drag this on…but look into oxidation of oils such as vegetable, canola, soybean, peanut and liver damage. For example, oils like real olive oil, butter, ghee, and tallow are much better for your health. Liver disease is just one problem, atherosclerosis, heart disease, and cancer are some others you can look into. Don’t take my word, actually dive into it! :)
@@andrewlange7195 Oxidation of oils doesn't matter when you store your food properly and eat fresh Like with every other food you have to store it properly And heart disease and other don't come from just eating oils you named but from eating Low quality oils or eating them to much For example i need to eat 3k calories now and i am picky eater So consuming a lot of healthy fats like monounsaturated etc from foods like peanuts diary etc will be good for me if i stay in caloric balance and at the same time get all micronutrients And liver mostly gets fatty from eating to much simple sugars Looking for your answer ;)
Yea sometimes that just has to be the case. Some people can’t eat 3000 calories of just healthy food so they have to eat some more calorie dense unhealthier foods
you guys need to start making pana cotta: cream,maple syrup/raw cane sugar and beef gelatin. So easy to make ans have as dessert, extremely calorie dense but cleaner than most fast food
absolutely agree. even for not very sporty people, it is obvious how energy levels go up as we start to eat clean versus eating junk food. junk food makes me lazy and generally keeps me in a bad mood all day.

The body builders eat "clean" as it fills them up more and has other nutrients. Also, the bodybuilders that were shown were all blasting gear, which changes everything drastically. So it's not just eating clean. As long as you hit your calories and protein goals, you will either gain or lose depending on what your doing. Clean meals are viewed as better as they have other factors compared to "junk food"
From a pure macros perspective, clean and dirty meals build the same. However, clean foods bring more benefits that'll help you build muscle (Like said in the video) Eating clean will lead to better gains indirectly

I did dirty bulk before. After 6-8 months of dirty bulk, my body is now fat. This year, I am going to go for a cut because new year new me and also, don't try dirty bulk. You will end up like me.

I’m actually doing a mix of both. My current diet consists of two healthy high calorie meals a day plus one not so healthy high calorie meal and so far it’s been working really well. I‘ve gained roughly 10 kilos since July. A bit of fat but mostly muscle.

Saturated fat from animals is good fat. When they talk about bad saturated fat, they are talking about fat that is artificially saturated -- you will see these as "hydrogenated" and "partially hydrogenated" oils from vegetables/seeds.
Fat is what ketosis runs on and that's why in the wild we could go days without eating then our body runs on ketosis energy no fake sugar hunger and heightened senses for your next meal. As someone is who naturally skinny, I will say that dirty bulking has given me the best results and has helped me gain a lot of weight without becoming fat. When I started working out 2 years ago i was really strict on my diet and I only gained maybe 5 pounds in 6 months. It just didn’t work. I was only 130lbs at 5’10 and now I’m 190 at the same height and have really filled out my frame while’s staying nice and lean.

I've been trying a combo of clean vs dirty bulking since it's hard to eat enough. Clean meals, dirty snacks has been working for me so far.

Saturated fat from animals is good fat. When they talk about bad saturated fat, they are talking about fat that is artificially saturated -- you will see these as "hydrogenated" and "partially hydrogenated" oils from vegetables/seeds.

As someone is who naturally skinny, I will say that dirty bulking has given me the best results and has helped me gain a lot of weight without becoming fat. When I started working out 2 years ago i was really strict on my diet and I only gained maybe 5 pounds in 6 months. It just didn’t work. I was only 130lbs at 5’10 and now I’m 190 at the same height and have really filled out my frame while’s staying nice and lean.
