Corn silk tea nice way to go. And by what I remember from my grandma good for the kidneys. Whew! Pablamo and Habanero you got a good kick outta that I'm sure. Yeah interesting combo.
When I was young, and we'd eat corn on the cob, my mom would always tell me how nutritious the silk is, and she'd eat it straight. I never got over the texture of eating the silk, but it doesn't taste bad. I'd never thought to make tea with it. Might try that next time we eat corn. This has been fascinating watching all these meads being made!
I'm very happy I found your channel I found you from still it honestly I'm loving it I almost feel like I'm sitting in your kitchen with you teaching me don't get me wrong I like still it's channel and set up but the home fell that comes off your channel is refreshing
I really appreciate the feedback! I wasn't sure if the off-the-cuff unscripted nature of what I've done so far was awkward, but I'm glad it seems to come off as conversational!
Oh wow! Didn’t see that coming… corn silk tea! I’m loving this great mead project more and more with each video that comes out. Can’t wait for your part 2 video!
Great video man! Intreasting take on this for sure with corn silk! I do have one suggestion, not about your brewing process but from a Viewer stand point. The Music overlay in the back ground makes it kinda hard to focus on what you are saying. Just personally think your videos would be better without the music overlay. As a Wine/mead/ and beer maker, Great stuff man! Such a Cool take on this colab!
Damn! Now I'll have to go on the complete tour. I saw the original discussion on this and thought you guys made it too wide open. This is so open, I haven't a clue what any of you will actually do. You're already doing things I never would habe thought of. P.S. I think all of you should provide links to the other channels. It would make following all of you easier.
Bringing in the big fermenter. I have found that fruit and peppers have quiet a bit of nitrogen for the yeast and at that gravity you should be good but nutrient will not hurt at all.
I make a lot of Methaglin & Braggot style yeast, these are my favorite go to yeasts. Wyeast 4632 OYL-091 HORNINDAL KVEIK OYL-061 VOSS KVEIK OYL-071 LUTRA KVEIK I have been experimenting with OYL-033 JOVARU LITHUANIAN FARMHOUSE yeast, but only for Braggot meads, so it might not work so well with meads that do not have that natural nutrients going on. -cheers!!
Love the conversational style of the video, almost feels like we’re working on the project together rather than you just telling me what you did. Gonna gift myself one of those 3 gallon carboys pretty soon. Would enjoy seeing your thoughts on wide mouth glass. Coming from buckets see no downside to wide as opposed to narrow.
Sorry about the hiccup with this one, folks. The Upload process stripped the Audio last time, but it should be good this go around. Thank you for letting me know there was an issue so quickly!
I'll do a follow-up on that one soon. Forgot to film a part where the abv might've been too high, so I watered it down and added a little more apple cider vinegar with mother.

Hopefully seeding and deveining them will keep them from COMPLETELY taking over.
Great video. Loved the vegetable comment! LOL!
I never would have thought of corn silk as an ingredient! Maize ain't all just polenta! I'm also learning some! Exciting! Thanks, man!
Very excited to see how this turns out
Vegetables are a social construct - please tell me you have merch for that! 😂
Again I love the corn silk tea. Brilliant stuff.
I think once my audience grows a bit, I might do some merch 🤣
This and
“Macerate….
:| You degenerates”
Cool concept.
Keep it up my friend! Love the channel

Eyyyyy, now we've got audio!
Yeah, thanks again for letting me know so quickly!
Good luck! Can't wait to see how it finishes.
You and me both. Fermentation's currently a bit stuck, so we'll see what happens

This is a great alternative concept for the corn ingredient. Really looking foward to the rest.
I absolutely LOVE your presentation!

Looking forward to seeing how this ended up, and would love to hear your thoughts on the BMB after lots of uses!

This has to be the third video i have seen where Thor unplugged your mic, and yet you still let him run loose while filming.. good hooman
He's a sweet boy. He just HAPPENS to also be a Problem™ sometimes.
And I love him all the more for it.
Hey love the video such a fun idea! Would love to taste such an original creation! But i have to ask what happened to the making mead vinegar
I'll do a follow-up on that one soon.

Vegetables comment made me laugh so much.
