I’ve got some tips! In the canter (because your trying to push him forward with your seat) your leaning forward which isn’t allowing him to collect himself and create bounce in the canter. When he is going forward as you ask him he’s getting too long and flat. Keep him forward but half halt and back the half halt up with your leg so he keeps going. Try riding with a dressage whip to be used as a extra aid!
all the tbs i’ve worked with (racing) went really well on red mills without it turning them into total psychos, also would recommend loads of hacking out and canter in light seat to get him fitter and more forward under you
I used spillers conditioning chaff and Baileys conditioning mix. It has worked wonders on mine, giving him energy and gained so much condition in just the first 3 weeks❤I also feed turmeric and vegetable oil x
