I think this was closer than Haggerty expected and he was more tactical than I expected.

Thais don't like that kind of footwork, they view it like running to much around as to avoid your opponent. If you wanna fight backwards better the slow backing up footwork, the one tecnical thais use.

Would give to Kuzmin. Haggerty unconvincing.
People don't seem to understand muay Thai scoring, Kuzmin had the pressure and boxing but Haggerty was scoring more kicks. That said it was a very close fight and I'm not liking this new bouncing style Haggerty has. I thinm Kuzmin would have won over 5 rounds
this is not MUAY THAI scoring, this is ONE FC, you can look the scoring up on their own page, according to their own scoring, john should ve lose this one
I'm guessing this bouncing of haggerty is to cover up the first movement of his kicks.. going up and down with his knee leeaves the opponent not knowing when he's going to kick.. the higher he bounces, the less predictable his kicks become.. it's probably a hard decision between stability and unpredictability.. the fact that haggerty won this fight because of his high kicks tells me he made the right decision tho

Kuzmin's heaviest shots were often hitting the guard I think. He really limited himself in this fight it seems, nit quite able to keep Haggerty against the cage or in the pocket. I think the last two rounds were clear Haggerty wins, more kicks equaling more points and his heavy shots looked to land.

странно и даже стыдно, что живя в России, узнал о Кузьмине из за того, что слежу за боями Хаггерти.
Бой абсолютно равный. Жаль только, что это больше похоже на кик боксинг, а не муайтай
with all due respect, the bouncing is annoying to see. I guess this is because the small gloves, they get bouncier like the MMA fighters because with those gloves you can not block correctly. Your hands have to go a little upper to correctly protect your head and you show more of the liver. Rodtang knows what I am saying. So if you are bouncier you can run away better and quicker. But I don't like they use this; it changes the game a lot. If you see traditional Muay Thai (just see Haggerty Superlek), they don't even move. It's more of two trees fighting trying to break each other. That's fun. Here is just trying to get the KO punch.

I love haggerty but he does run quite alot . Very close fight probably won on scoring kicks but kuzmin won on the eye test imo .
